Everyone is pretty much talking about HLJ telling people just cause they preorder something doesn't mean they'll be guaranteed to get it. So everyone including myself are FREAKING THE FUCK OUT cause Nami and Zoro SW P.O.P's are in low stock, those of us who pre-ordered our figures the INSTANT they were available might somehow not get them, but luckily I already got my payment notice, and have paid for mine, so all is good. Hopefully everyone else has too.

I have the PP billing agreement with HLJ and I just got a shipping notice for Nami and Zoro. It was less than 1500Yen to ship SAL. Pretty sweet.

Well, I'm not suddenly going to start bashing at them but they've been pretty weird lately. Especially after a few things I witnessed, I realized I can't trust them as much as I did in the last years anymore. I could go with them no matter what site offered whatever, but along that road I once got a notice telling me "I won't be getting the figure" and another time "They won't be stocking that item" which they did after i got it from somewhere else. Hope they get back to their old self.
A site -I think it was Tomopop- had a good article on these shopping sites we use and the competition between them lately. Let me find it... Edit: **Found it
PS:** I didn't get a mail from HLJ about a new system… but I know that if you check "billing aggreement" they have the right to charge you whenever the item's in stock, which I didn't check because I don't like the idea. Has a new system showed up?

I still haven't gotten my Payment request notice, but technically, I never do since I'm not paying via PayPal. Just checked my account, and they finally billed me, but haven't notified me yet.
Also, you guys all need to calm down. You're all freaking yourselves out, and causing other people to freak out too, like MoonNeko. Honestly, one month ago, 90% of the people here said that they'd rather buy their items from HLJ than anywhere else. And today, most of you have done a complete 180. If you've never immediately asked HLJ to process your order as soon as it's available like right after you get their confirmation email, then perhaps you should order somewhere else. That's the way they've done it since I've been ordering from them years ago.
And honestly, if you didn't get your precious POP this time, look at how everyone here is trying to help one another. If you tried hard enough, come hell or high water, you'll somehow be able to pay for the figure if you really wanted it and acted quickly enough.

I have a question about HLJ, this morning I ordered something that was in stock to add to my Zoro order. Now I got the Payment request for Zoro, and a few minutes later I got my order confirmation for the other item but not a payment request.
How does this work if I want them to combine shipping? Do I wait for a payment request for both items, or pay for each separately without the shipping and wait for HLJ to get back to me on that? am I doomed to pay two shippings?… or should I just e-mail them? XD

We're waiting for POP usopp and robin, that would be our first order from ami2.This. I also placed an order for some Armored Core model kits (along with Smoker, Tashigi, Usopp, and Robin). They processed my AC order pretty quickly and shipped two of them already. I got charged 2,100 yen (because of their half off speccial) for EMS shipping too. I'd recommend creating separate orders for each item you want if you prefer SAL shipping or they'll just lump stuff together and charge you for EMS.

As for the HLJ, panic…I'm not too worried about them, partially because I obsessively check to see what comes in stock. A few weeks ago, GLM Ace and Luffy came into stock and I looked and saw it had already been listed as discontinued before I could say ship available, but then I saw HLJ had shipped it on their own and all was well. Their customer service has always been pretty good for me too. The only thing that honestly has worried me about them lately is that monster chopper incident, cuz that happened with a Hetalia mascot set that I ordered for my friend's Christmas present too. It was supposed to be out in Dec, but keeps getting pushed back and now is set for a March release like Chopper, despite countless people, including my local anime store, getting them in stock >.< That's just ridiculous. Luckily it is only a few isolated incidents, but if that gets worse, THEN I will stop using them, but for now they have one of the best selections for figures so I'll keep ordering from them. Plus the cancel option is a major plus.

Hmm, dunno about that one. Depends on how recently you ordered it because they send automated responses when you place an order, but the site says the database doesn't actually update until the next day. If what you got was the actual order confirmation and not just the automated response, I would still say that if the other item isn't included in the payment request, you're most likely not gonna be able to combine them at this point since I believe their policy is no changes to orders after a payment request has been sent. If anyone knows differently, please correct me

Heh, yeah, if they screw me over like that I will jump ship. I use Otacute for any orders I can because their customer service is amazing, they throw in little freebies, and I can get pretty cheap prices there. But otherwise I stick to HLJ, tho I'm gonna order one of those Shichibukai sets from Amiami as a trial to see what kind of shipping fees/ordering experience I get from them. Main reason I'm ok with sticking to HLJ for now is that most of these figures get a rerelease, at least the POPs and GLMs it seems, so I'm not too nervous as long as I order on the first run. I shall keep my fingers crossed >.<

Their (Amiami's) customer service is amazing from what I can tell. I asked them a question on what would have been a Sat in Japan and they responded within a few hours, maybe less. They're not even supposed to be open Sats 0_o I didn't end up ordering from them because I wanted to order Robin and Usopp POPs but for some reason Usopp's came up as "not available on English site"… So that was odd and hopefully a fluke due to the English vers. being so new...but yeah, very speedy response and very informative answers, nothing quick or dismissive. Hence, I'll order a Shichibukai set from them and see how it goes

"If you would like to modify this order, select the button for the action you would like to take and click the "submit" button. Remember, you don't have to take any action to get your order. It will be automatically shipped to you when all items become available. In addition, available items will be automatically shipped to you if two months pass from the time you originally place your order."
So we don't have to take any action? I heard that some people didn't even get a message when their pre-ordered items came out and thus missed them, but…this message says we don't have to do anything. And I don't even have my paypal linked to HLJ. Conflicting information? I'm confused now. .-.

You don't have to do anything.BUT!! if you don't request ship immediately, and wait for the other item from your order(same no. and if you have other item) to be available so you can combine shipping, the item/s that is instock might be sold out while you're waiting for other items.

I don't expect HLJ to hold an item if I didn't pay for it yet…. xD; I honestly won't wait for shipping to be combined when I get a payment notice I pay right away in fear it won't come or they'll cancel my order.
I think if I went on vacation when something was possible to come due I'd have it set to take it right out of my account out of fear something would go wrong
but that's just me! that and I have paypal and a bank account I know some people can't pay that wayI have my account to be set to take the payment right from my account,
They had the item instock for 2 weeks…...
But I still don't get my preorder item.Its like you Preorder something from some store, 2 months later the item become available.
then when you come to the store, and going to pay for it.
The owner said to you, "OH we sold out already. We have the policy not holding any item, anyone come first, they can buy the item"So......what's the point of doing preorder if they not going to hold it for you?

the problem is.......what happen if you don't know the item is already available......
or when you go for holiday......If what HLJ's staff told me is true, you have the chance of not getting your preorder item just because you aren't available at that time.
they already have that for weeks now.
