@CoralSnake:
I live in SHITTY Oklahoma, the ugly pan handle shaped state in the USA. Nobody comes to this state so flying out of state and flying back into state costs FAR MORE than it does in other places because there isn't as much traffic coming in here. That, and Oklahoma is in the MIDDLE of the USA u__u
Lol, I feel your pain, Coral. I live in Southeastern Kentucky and I have to travel well over 90 miles just to get to the nearest airport, which is so small you always have to transfer flights in a bigger city like Atlanta, no matter where you're going. There's nothing in my town either; I mean, the population in Pineville is around 2100, how pathetic is that? We don't even have a bookstore. And I grew up in Chicago, so…yeah. I think Kentucky is where hope goes to die. XD
I'd love to plan a fabulous trip to someplace like Japan someday, but it'd have to wait until I have less responsibilities. Can't really leave my senile, 75 year old grandmother alone for a week while I'm living it up in Tokyo, even if I were willing to spend well over a thousand on airfare, hotel costs, food, transportation, fees and taxes, and possibly a translator–not to even mention spending money. Although when I am finally able to go, I wonder how many hundreds I'm going to spend on souvenirs and collectibles? I'll need to buy another suitcase just for my haul. XD
I'd probably have to go alone, though. None of my friends share my interest in getting out of this godforsaken town, even if it's only for a week or so.
