AP meetup???? xDDD I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT. There was a guy last year who walked by my group and he was wearing an AP shirt..walked by us MANY TIMES and NEVER said anything, we waved, said hi, and nothing. So yeah…I doubt they'll be a meetup.

I'm thinking about going this year. After denying my friend for four years straight.
I don't read alot of manga besides Weekly Jump (but I know a ton from my older cousins) and I'm not a cosplayer nor a huge fan of it. (however I approve female cosplayers)
I dunno how I'll fit in or who to chat and hang out with, but… I'm sure I might actually meet some cool APForum members there. -

king of sarus, you don't have to cosplay or be a huge anime fan to have fun and find people to talk to. lots of different people are there. hey, I've got pics of chrono trigger cosplayers, and an awesome jack skellington costume from last year. videogames, and other animation are welcome too.

But seriously, I had such a blast last year that I'd have to be either broke or stupid to not go again. This time I'll be prepared for that 20 minute wait to get onto the elevators, and you can be sure that a certain Christopher Sabat-look alike had better prepare to Poke-throwdown again. Even if I never find my Platinum version, my army will rise again.
Debating if I should even bring my Stronger outfit. Wasn't that much of a reaction at Oni, and I believe everyone who I wanted to see it saw it.
Looking forward to meeting new faces and dashing past them in my Arlong Park Forums T-Shirt.

I booked the extra time for after, cause i figured everyone would be too busy running around last minute costume finishing, like last time.glad to see your still alive. you guys have been hiding. let me know when you guys get things figured out. I'm sitting here anxiously waiting. Wish I could do more to help. I'll help clean your apartment when I get there. how's that.

LOL believe me, I don't have anything big planned so far, only thing I can think of is my steampunk project, which will be a random original outfit that I'll wear with my bf, we're going to try finding him a duster jacket and such, kinda like on Serenity (Firefly movie, look it up its quite cool). His will be much more simple XD.
Still, I can't wait to actually show you around Dallas. I'll figure out what would be the best idea besides Rice Mountain again lol.
And I've been working a lot, and pretty much living in two different places right now since I sleep in the living room at my apartment… John's bed is much more comfortable

I am trying my best to get to A-kon this year. I am hoping I can go since it is a few days after my birthday. I will be bringing 2 versions of Ace, Crocodile and Sanji. There is a possibility I may also have a Zoro cosplay by then.
Other than One Piece cosplay I will most likely be bringing back one Fullmetal Alchemist cosplay of Roy Mustang back. I haven't cosplayed him in a few years.

You guys are seriously making me itch to go! I have never seen more than 2-3 OP cosplays at Oni-con/Kamikaze con (Which are nearest my place). But I hate driving with a passion…I'm cosplaying Luffyko this year, though...

Thanks to $200 of POPs to pay for at the end of June >____> And still no job, I'm only showing up to the con Saturday @@ Yay for living close but boo for parking… I'm kinda sad because they said A-Kon might actually be really good this year, they've got a lot of new people working it who're trying to revamp everything into less of a suckfest. Last year a lot of things are better, so hopefully the trend will continue (now just find a bigger venue and they're golden XD)
What about doing an AP meetup still? If that's going to be on another day but Saturday I'll still try to come, just probably not in my elaborate OP stuff xD

OH man..I am soo sooo sooooooo excited about cosplaying now xD Akon still pisses me off greatly, but actually as much as It PAINS me to admit it, last year at Akon was probably one of the better years considering how nice Pre-reg was. I didn't get to enjoy much of the actual CON though, so this year, we're DEFINITELY enjoying more of the con. Going to make sure to make rounds to the Artist Alley and the Dealers room FOR SURE.
I need to start practicing make-up skills since I'll be doing everyone's make-up x3 I want us to look wonderful

Panels at Akon for meet-ups are BAD O_O bad idea, bad idea, BAD IDEA!!! Especially since you have to have it listed on the actual program where EVERYONE can see it x_x;
This has nothing to do with One Piece, but one year the people on cosplay.com who were cosplaying Bleach wanted to have a cosplay.com meet-up, and the only way that Akon would let them do that and get a panel room was if they put it ON the schedule. It was a DISASTER. EVERYONE who was into Bleach showed up, not just the cosplay.com members x_x; It was a MASSIVE disaster, so I don't think it would be such a good idea x_x;

I think I've decided to go this year, for the first time ever I might add. I only live 10 minutes from the place, so it's not like I'll have to go out of my way. I won't be cosplaying though. For one, the only artistic talent I have comes in writing.
Still, it should be fun. Especially if I get a chance to meet some of you people.

So more then likely you would NOT end up with the panel time they originally told you, most things atleast change rooms if not times.I was thinking maybe Friday or Saturday night, but IDK how many people are going to be in/watching the cosplay contest (though I doubt I'll bother with going this year, it was REALLY well done last year (aside from the not so funny MC XD)) Saturday.
Remember the cosplay gathering is at 1:30 PM Saturday in the Hotel Lobby.
