I tried several times to attach a pic… even found my mini going Merry, but it won't let me attach, and just keeps saying upload failed. Huh.

Well go figure.

I can't find them, but I even found these 1 inch figures on ebay of Robin being frozen by Aokiji, Sanji (ballman) and Zoro at the Dave Back fight and a few others just not sure where the heck I packed them. Just wish they had real action figures. Know the kid wants ones to play with not just look at... but that was a lot of saving... ugh and a heck of a wallet dent.

Upload it to a picture account, like Photobucket, Imageshack, Flickr, or even Facebook. Then just link it from there. I'm not too sure that attachments would suit the pictures you want to display. I think there's a filesize limit, and the pics might be too big (I don't know what your camera's resolution is).

Well that worked.
Guess the only others not showed are the one inch Davy back fight collect figures still in the bag, I don't have the heart to break out of the bags. And the licensed Five Katanas plus stand I got at Renfaire (Well four as the "Monkey D Luffy was barely inspired by the sword Luffy used as Nightmare plus Tashigi's sword.) It's a small collection but growing.

Hope to see you all at Anime Matsui, as I am certainly better to talk to in person as certain problems make talking to me over message boards or email well… let's say I'm not very good at it. Hope to see chat with you then. I'm underage so I can't drink (well, I have a little bit but never enough to even get a buzz >>), but everyone else besides another friend of mine is of age so they drink. I don't know why this guy drinks, he tries to look cool by chugging drinks and shots when he can't. At A-Kon last year he went and had ONE jager bomb, then came back to our room (he wasnt staying in our room then) and threw up all over the bathroom floor, and didn't clean it all up .____________.

I know a couple of people who drink all the con away, but my friends don't XD

… It was not a good idea to go off to a town in the middle of no where, that has 3 colleges in it .______. I couldn't get a job at Walmart OR McDonalds.

Can't wait for this stupid semester to be over _ One more month, gonna go back to school near Dallas so I can be closer to my cosplay friends again and can get a job DX Money do need. Hopefully I will pass this test and become a pharmacy tech ^^

Aside from where Yulecon's hotel where the past couple of years, all of the other cons are within reasonable driving distance, so even if I don't have the money for a badge/hotel room (like for A-Kon), I can still go down there.

I guess it is pretty nice ^^;;; I'm starting to get burned out though >> I want to go to more out of state cons but realisticly I'm probably gonna have to limit it to one a year unless they're months and months apart and not near A-Kon or AFest >> Acen is too close to A-Kon to get all the money I need to be able to buy a badge, stay at the hotel, and pay for parking at A-Kon DX What's really sad is it costs about as much as it does to go to A-Kon (which is… 40-45 minutes away) then it is for my portion of gas, parking, hotel, and badge for Acen .____. Stupid parking downtown is ridiculous I swear DX Paid $56 for Thursday-Sunday last year.

Honestly I rather the 2 cons a year to have 6 months to save, and huge cash to blow on the 2 events than have barely enough to get in the door for 8 events and be broke with no figures/shopping ect.

40 bucks for the weekend isn't to bad. Worse is the parking at 20 bucks a day for Kamikaze con to free for Anime Matsuri… (downtown raids the wallet Suburbs rule) But I don't get rooms when I live only a short drive away.

Sadly the local Hotel Marriott Chain is now choking the Con scene, first they limited five people to a room. Which is fine. Fire codes and all... but that's singles, doubles and triple sizes...which the math is hazy there...but since they refused to allow anyone up to the rooms without wrist bands on the elevators, and shut the escalators down to force people to use them as stairs to travel between Lobby and Artist Alley upstairs... they are not going to bring many of us back.

This weekend 3 days total cost is gonna hit 120 bucks max. Akon...ugh I fear to figure that bill since I need a room, gas, food ect...

I would /love/ to go to Anime Boston, I've got so many friends up there I want to visit, my friend went last year and really enjoyed it.

We were planning to hit it this year, but after looking up prices @_@

I would expect to spend $1000 ATLEAST in expenses. Hotels are like $200-250 a night. Then we would have our plane tickets and food =___=

I don't even think it's going to be feasible next year. We'll see, but I would like to get a new Mac around that time. I'll be happy just going to Fanime and Otakon XD

AX as a convention on a whole is not as fun as it used to be for me. Chalk it up to fewer panels and guests I'm interested in. And last year, I missed Nightow due to masquerade stuff.

Luckily, I found a new way to have fun, which is through cosplaying. I've met a lot of new OP fans and friends this way, which has made my AX experience a lot better than it would've have been without said friends.

Enough about AX though, this is the A-Kon thread. Not planning to make the AX thread until a week or 2 before Fanime. Unless someone beats me to it. What? Right…A-Kon. Take lots of pics, and go to the Podcast panel.

Mmm I've been spoiled with my Mac. To have a computer that actually RUNS and runs awesomely all the time and doesn't horribly crash and die all the time like my last PC has been pure bliss.Plus you can use Limewire without fear!

It's 3 years old now, and I upgraded it to Snow Leopard awhile back and now its got a 5-15 minute boot time (from completely off, time depends on how its feeling, it tends to come back on faster from restarting but not from turned off) =_= Also if too much is running in photoshop (even though I have enough memory)/working on huge files it will make the computer restart sometimes. Those things aren't making me get a new computer, it's the fact it's doing that because the machine can't handle the software that well.

I will say that is what makes Apple bastards, the fact they design their products to be non-modable/non replaceable (many things are soldered to the motherboard so you can't remove them). They practically force you to upgrade every few years because of the constantly changing technology that old systems cannot support (or like, say your iPod battery dies, technically you CAN replace this yourself so it hardly counts, but they tell you the back of it is nonremovable and cannot be replaced… though they find a way to refurb these things >_>). So once something wears out, you're screwed, unlike a PC where you can replace a faulty part.

Call me a sucker, but I'm willing to dish out twice the price to have a computer that will do everything I want it to, when I want it to do it, without fail, and without having to tiptoe around to avoid viruses/spyware/malware/etc. I am not a patient person. I have a feeling as more updates happen the less and less compatible this computer will be so I think i will upgrade it in about a years time. But it's still working great, even better since I put in more memory awhile back.

The Dell PC I have was fucking crap from Day 1, but I give it some credit because when it gave me BSOD, i was able to get it going again without having to reformat, unlike the HP desktop (what I had at home before getting the Mac) which, within the first year horribly crashed and burn and had to be reformatted. Though the HP always was more efficient then the Dell when it wasn't dying XD

I'll stick with my PC laptop for things that require PCness, as my laptop is quite nice, but for media enjoyment, photoshop, and downloading Mac wins hands down XD

In my last post I just detailed how it's quite not the same thing. I think it's totally worth it for the lack of viruses. I enjoy not worrying about getting some virus that could totally rape my computer I could get just from visiting a website. A friggen website. And of course the awesomeness of Limewire XD Which I totally advocate purchasing music legally, which I have… iTunes probably has well over halfa grand from my mother and I combined. They don't have everything though, so it's nice to be able to snag the things you can't find on iTunes.

Also aside from the 95 which I could no longer use because it was too outdated to use with most software, I've never had a computer preform at HQ as the Mac has continued to do for 3 years now. My HP started fucking up within 6 months and had completely died within a year. Actually it came out of the box with faulty components =___= The Dell was messed up right out of the box. I love being able to play The Sims 2 lag free without it crashing and dying because system resources can't handle it. Same with Photoshop, it lagged horribly at times on the HP and Dell. It even quit working on the HP to where even reinstalling it didn't fix the problem.

Maybe I've just had horrible luck with other computers. My Gateway laptop has been working great, but I'm too paranoid to download most things on it. Tiptoeing around is not my idea of hassle free.

My nerves have been shot for, well forever. I'm willing to pay extra to take away one more annoyance in my life XD

to be honest, photoshop on a laptop is a waste. I would rather put photoshop on a desktop because if I got a desktop it'll have more room than the laptop and a better monitor than a laptop. That's just me though. I LOVE our laptop but I don't wanna put photoshop on it because I don't think for one… our photoshop is way too old to be compatible. I think of Macs as status symbols myself... if you have one, you must be LOADED but that's just my initial thought xD I know everyone who has one isn't... but I can't help but think of it that way. I'm sure they're amazing... they better be... they're fucking expensive out the fucking ass.

I've almost put Photoshop on my laptop but now that I got the mobile internet card to use out in BFE at my grandparents I can finally use my Mac here so there's no need anymore. You have to buy a not-so-cheap adapter for Macs to work on dial-up >_> It's stupid.

I only got the Mac because my mom's tax return was massive that year, and she was so mad at the stupid HP not working she was in a generous mood XD

And I personally have no bills to pay, so I'm sure by this time next year I would have the money to snag another one.

Yeah and to a degree this still exists, but I remember a few years ago how cool people seemed if they had Razr phones and Apple stuff, like iPods and iPhones. When it was all super shiny and new, only the people with money had them at first and it made you a little cooler to have one.

And I've enjoyed my Apple products, all of them have lasted me much longer then similar products I've had of different brands. It's still not as long as I would like, but for as much as I use things (especially ipods) the length of time is impressive, cheaper things have broken down much sooner.

But now I'm an apple person just because I've been impressed that the stuff has lasted me longer then other stuff has. That's about it really.

I really wish it wasn't a status symbol, because having this stuff doesn't make anyone cooler in the least bit XD I've also been really insulted by people over my Mac, but they're elitist PC snobs that know all about maintaining their PCs/building them/working on them… Which I don't, which is why I've enjoyed the Mac so much because it hasn't needed fixing (which is not true of all Macs, my friend has had to have his screen replaced twice and various other small problems). But it's a shame that I have to be a target of ridicule just because I have a freakin Mac. It's just a computer.

I'm getting really tired of being ridiculed over stupid shit that I have/like, but that's another story XD

I'm glad the specific phone fad has died down some. No one cares about Razrs anymore and almost everyone I know has an iPhone now. Except for me, but I really don't care XD

I don't get the iPad thing either. I would rather wait until the technology is perfected then having a pretty shotty product now and then have to buy a completely new one a couple of years from now.

Can we get back on topic now? No more Mac is better than PC talk. Read enough for a lifetime now, and no matter what you say, it's like comparing apples to oranges. You can hype up the Mac all you want, of coarse they're superior computers. They're built that way, and the pricetag proves that. I personally have more important things to spend my money on, especially with all the memory and ram on my laptop, to get a Mac even CLOSE to that much stuff on it, I'd have to shell out over a 1500. I can buy my plane ticket to AX, my hotel room, my badge, and THEN some for that. It's not my cup of tea, I think Macs are super great when it comes to graphics, but when I tried to get online with one in college is was like all hell broke loose. Granted, that WAS 10 years ago, so take that what you will. Guess I'm just a simple old-fashioned PC girl. Not to mention I don't download practically anything using this comp, besides the fact I don't want to infect it, I just don't feel like it. getting illegal music just isn't worth it to me anymore, if I like a specific person, I just go buy their CD.

Also, suit is being figured out right now. Just got the cape material for Ivankov since it was half off __ I'm soo soo glad I didn't get it before now, I'd have been soo butt hurt. It should work okay, hell, it's not perfect, but by god, we are certainly not trying to be perfect, just look good xD

They practically force you to upgrade every few years because of the constantly changing technology that old systems cannot support (or like, say your iPod battery dies, technically you CAN replace this yourself so it hardly counts, but they tell you the back of it is nonremovable and cannot be replaced… though they find a way to refurb these things >_>). So once something wears out, you're screwed, unlike a PC where you can replace a faulty part.

Call me a sucker, but I'm willing to dish out twice the price to have a computer that will do everything I want it to, when I want it to do it, without fail, and without having to tiptoe around to avoid viruses/spyware/malware/etc. I am not a patient person. I have a feeling as more updates happen the less and less compatible this computer will be so I think i will upgrade it in about a years time. But it's still working great, even better since I put in more memory awhile back.

The Dell PC I have was fucking crap from Day 1, but I give it some credit because when it gave me BSOD, i was able to get it going again without having to reformat, unlike the HP desktop (what I had at home before getting the Mac) which, within the first year horribly crashed and burn and had to be reformatted. Though the HP always was more efficient then the Dell when it wasn't dying XD

I'll stick with my PC laptop for things that require PCness, as my laptop is quite nice, but for media enjoyment, photoshop, and downloading Mac wins hands down XD

Sorry, but I have to say that Macs ARE better than PCs. I was a broke-ass college student and I still somehow wound up with a mac. I'm still not really rich or high status or anything, neither is my bf, but we both have one. I just sent my Powerbook to get repaired, the logic board needs to be fixed (RAM issues, and such). It will be working much better by the time I get it back, and I've had it since 2005.

And its fine to like PCs, I like PCs as well, but I prefer Macs for pretty much the same reasons that Arei does.

Like right now, I'm on my boyfriend's MacBook, its so pretty Might do some Illustrator work on it here in a bit

But to stay on-topic, still don't know if I'll even cosplay anything. I don't have money or time to be investing in any cosplay projects, but we'll see.

@Ussop: Most of the people teasing were PC eliteist assholes. It's pretty ridiculous, because I'm tired of hearing it over and over everytime the Mac discussion is brought up.

Can we get back on topic now? No more Mac is better than PC talk. Read enough for a lifetime now, and no matter what you say, it's like comparing apples to oranges. You can hype up the Mac all you want, of coarse they're superior computers. They're built that way, and the pricetag proves that.

My post was entirely personal preference. I just got one sucky PC after another, and my Mac has been a nice relief. That's all. Like I just said, having a Mac doesn't make you a better or cooler person. I am not patient enough to sit through PCs farting out, I like that my Mac has run more efficiently.

And all I did was say in that one post that I wasn't sure about going to Anime Boston next year because I would like to get a new Mac around that time. You then made a comment about it and I replied. You didn't have to make a comment about it in the first place, so if you didn't want to hear Mac talk you shouldn't have said anything. I can't help it from all the teasing that I automatically defend why I have Mac, it just has worked out better for me then any PC ever has. That's it, it's my preference and my money, so whatever. I will not talk about this again, if you have anything to say about the topic anymore please PM me.

I don't mean to sound snappy but I'm not taking any of this shit right now, I'm doing all I can to keep it together right now.

I'm not even excited about A-Kon anymore. My life is so fucked up at the moment I'd rather be working a job through that weekend.
