Again, if it had been done in 2 weeks as planned, it probably wouldn't stick out so bad. Not quite as bad in syndication. Stretched out over 9 months, with only 1 new episode at random every couple weeks? It really sucked. Young Justive kind of hit the exact same thing, only reversed. There was SUPPOSED to be a gap between seasons 1 and 2, and there wasn't.

and only one or two eipsodes showing what the Trio and Hudson were even doing was awful for me. The other Gargoyles they encountered were okay…But I didn't really care about em.

A few of those eps were blatant spinoff bait, at Disney's request. And a lot of the villain regulars did manage to show up. It was just… the length of it. Along with several REALLY lousy episodes.

And Elisa, Goliath, Angela and Bronx were my least favorite characters.

Goliath and Elisa were the leads, Bronx hardly got any focus before then, and Angela was new. The idea was fine. But they probably should have alternated, an episode or two touring, one episode back in New York with the others. At least a 2:1, or 3:1 even. The 15:1 ratio was just… no. (alternately, any given member of the trio also going on the tour could have mixed it up by romancing Angela. Or Hudson going. Really, anyone that could speak would be better than Bronx, underused or not. )

At any rate…to stay on topic I guess. I'm just glad that I don't think I'll have those sort of feelings about Young Justice because I didn't get to develop a real fangirl thing for any of the cast, so people missing or development getting skipped over doesn't bug me as much.

The YJ split also came earlier in the series. Gargoyles only had a main cast of 7 heroes (and 3 or 4 regular villains) and didn't hit Avalon until around episode 40… YJ has been juggling nearly a dozen leads, their mentors, guest stars, dozens of villains, and been jumping aorund the world, and then did its big shake up 26 eps in. Its just... a lot more crowded.

! This episode was interesting. Not too sure how I feel about most of the mysteries being answered in one episode. Well…the Red Arrow, Artemis, Speedy and Kid Flash stuff lol. I was surprised about Chesire and Red...At first in the episode I thought he was drunk...or fueling a drug addiction lol. Another thing that I found a bit odd was that Blue has been with the team for a while it seems, and the talking to himself isn't new.Why did nobody know about all those quirks beforehand? I can only guess that they really do have pamplets on how their teammates work but nobody reads them...

Once again, good episode, but the timeskip conceit of "this is only a surprise because we skipped the natural progression" and "we've been working together for months, why are we only talking about this now?" once again annoys me. Maybe by episode 13 or 14 it'll stop bothering me, after they've finally settled into explaining all their mysteries and setting the world up again.

I'm starting to wish I had just missed three or four episodes, so I could just assume all this stuff is my own fault for not being up to speed.

But the lovey dovey was great, on all accounts. As was pretty much everything else. I have to admit, when THOSE two showed up finally, I squee-ed.

Really good episode, enjoyed it a lot. This show seemingly loves using the Plot A and Plot B formula REALLY, REALLY GENERICALLY where the two plots have nothing to do with one another and of course there's nothing wrong with that but sometimes I doesn't work as well as other times. However more often than not they do it FANTASTICALLY and I end up loving the episode. That's what this episode "salvage" did. I'm not a big superboy fan but him and Blue made a decent team and as a character SB is really standing out this season with his growth. But that back to back with the Roy intervention(Roy being my favorite character) and seeing KF and Artemis was a top notch combination for me and I'm certain I'll be having multiple repeat viewing of this ep. Funny enough even though I dont care for him much as a character, due to the dual plot formula I previously mentioned 2 of my favorite episodes have ended up being SB centered ones, Salvage and Agendas being the two in question. Coldhearted is another I loved that did the dual plot element to my liking. Looking forward to next week a lot.

Like Shuhan said, that was "The Guardian" (aka Jim Harper) from CADMUS, who we met way back in episode one.

In comics canon, he's Roy's uncle. But it looks like here in Young Justice, they've made him yet another clone of the original Roy Harper, only aged much further. In Salvage, he spoke about Roy 'not being the only clone on this rooftop', and giving up the mantle of Guardian in order to discover his own identity as a human being, as Jim Harper.

Idk i think it would be cool for a bunch of heroes to have their origins be different. I really like beastboys new origin, I think the creators can do cool new things. As of now Mal Duncan from what we know is powerless but in the comics he is the Herald. I'm thinking his powers will be alien tech, maybe boom tubes.

As for why maybe they'll want to experiment.

Finally got to watch this episode, after Anime North this weekend.

! So Wonder Girl is definitely one of the newer team members, and is still working on her place on the team. The show of approval from the veteran girls obviously mean a lot to her during the whole thing.
! I like the idea someone mentioned earlier about Static and other future heroes being there with Ty; there was mention of if there was a third season approved, we might get yet another timeskip. As long as it isn't as insane as five years, I'd be okay with that if we got to see Blue Beetle, Long Shadow and Static Shock working together on a team.
! Oh Jaime, you're such a good friend aren't you? You also seem to be trying out a few Bat-detective skills out here; not totally succeeding, but hey, it's how you learn. And, LOL, BOOTLEGGING MOVIES/DVD'S. Subtle.

This was a really good episode! Bart is certainly an interesting character. Gotta feel bad for Wally being so slow in comparison to him and Barry, though. Kind of a bittersweet ending with Bart, but you gotta admire the kid for keeping up that cheerful personality after we find out some more about him toward the end of the episode.

Managed to get my stream back (old stream owner made a new account), and by God, am I thankful I did. Between YJ, Korra, and the leaked Avengers episodes…I was not prepared for the hours of awesome I got this morning.

! So as expected, Bart's pretty awesome. I was all D8 when I realized he was coming from the future to save his grandpa Barry from getting himself killed (thus leading to Wally becoming the Flash), and Barry wasn't letting him save him. Thankfully, Bart's a pretty smart cookie and pulled it off anyway.
! I do feel bad for Wally being slower than the Allen's, but it's not his fault his reproduced experiment didn't give him powers exactly matching Barry's. But that doesn't mean anything in the end, because he and Jay still saved both of them, despite being slower.
! Did anyone else notice Bart's future slang coinciding with the Kroloteans way of speaking in the episode, as well as our 'mystery partner' in Salvage? "Meat", "Crash", "Mode". And the mysterious blue 'cyber cure' he used on Neutron…Reach technology?
