@Thousand:
Performing an act which is the equivalent of digging a hole for an unsuspecting person is not a fight.
So capturing Zoro, vivi, nami and broggy doesn't deserve any credit.
And obviously he only digs holes and sets traps rather than use a multiple array of moves.
- Candle set
- Candle sword
- Candle lock
- Candle harpoon
- Candle wall
- Candle champion
- Candle clones (translation?)
Just read from chapters 115 onwards and you'll soon discover the multitude of fight sequences.[hide][/hide]
implying that he could still do so now.
How did you reach the conclusion that he's remotely on par with Luffy from my post? I won't bother cataloguing the handful of power-ups he's had since then.
Again with trying to twist my post rather than answer the question.
But we're not discussing what he could have done in this war, we were discussing what he could have done against Sengoku. Quit deviating from the point.
His role in the story as a whole is 100% relevant to my point about his role at Marin HQ.
Because Ace isn't the most important thing in this war.
That makes his only role being key master justifiable then does it?
I'm not interested in your Mr. 3 lamentations. I want to know what you think he should have done on that scaffold. You claim he could have done something to delay Sengoku yet you have yet to suggest a single thing he could have done against Sengoku and I've asked you three times now.
Do you want a list of possibilities or would me reiterating that fact that he is being used poorly be enough?
Either way I can't be bothered to go into the typical routine of walls of text, where you don't concede at any point of your failings, regardless of the evidence disproving your stance. Not to mention it usually resulting in insults, admins and warnings.@onemoment:
Mr. 3 has been pretty fair in use of his abilities.
He's been consistent since Little Garden.
Not really when you look at rise and instant fall after his defeat by Luffy.
I'd go on but I think everyone remembers Impel Down, but I don't see why everyone is surprised. Mr. 3 is a skilled agent, and clever planner, but not a hand-to-hand combatant.
The fact that he's appeared to have decreased in strength since Little Garden, instead of progress a little like Bon Clay just adds insult to his part as a whole.
He could have had a defining moment like Buggy or Bon Clay.
He's been in no position to use fullest abilities, and frankly has done great considering how easily he could have been knocked out of this war.
What is the point of Oda spending masses of page space and hype just to use him as the lock pick. He could have easily allowed Luffy to have used his key instead.
I just can't see his justifications for him using so much page space for such a little return.
Also, I'm surprised this character is so loved. It's heartwarming that a murdering, cold-blooded coward with no respect for other peoples beliefs can get so much love.
Same kind of odd conclusion could be said about a multitude of characters.@AdmiralYonkouMt.Bandit:
It seems ever since Mr. 3 failed his and Croc fed him to the crocs all he's been doing is using his DF to make keys and free ppl. Granted ID is no place to regain your courage/confidence but he was somewhat of a badass and formidable foe in Little Garden.
Now Oda's downplayed him to a comedic character in the ranks of Buggy and the like.
This is a great conclusion to how I feel about this discussion as a whole.
