Can anyone recommend a place to learn some tutorials other than youtube?
I'm currently trying to paste images in, fill all the body (character) and background white without removing the lines/definition. Plus the whole shading techniques, blending tools and textures I need are eluding me.
Any help would be great.
For the pasting problem, normal pasting pastes it as a new image, right? Then you need to select Paste as New Layer (or Paste as New Selection if you want it on the same layer). I usually put those shortcuts at the top where the rest of them are or just use the keyboard shortcuts.
The filling in problem, what do you mean? It might just be a matter of setting your Flood Fill Tool's tolerance if it's what I'm thinking.
As for the shading and stuff… I usually go to Adobe for that. :unsure: <- is no help

Practically all of that went over my head. Thanks but I really need a site or video that teaches from the basics upwards.

Seriously…? How far back? Like creating a new image far back? Then maybe using the program's Help would be your best bet.
(The things I said aren't that advanced, you can select Paste as New Layer after right-clicking on an opened file (image) if you have something in the clipboard and Flood Fill's kinda... on the left side where the paint brush and other tools are, and its tolerance levels are changed at the top under the program's menu bar.)
