Nice, the playlist is almost like Halo 3. Now if we can just have Pit, Narrows, and some classic halo maps I think I might cry how beautiful this game is.
Halo: Reach

The default maps are decent, but the forge-made maps are just horrible
Hoping for some better community maps make their way onto the playlists.

Now THIS is why I love this game. You'll never know what will happen

Sure the A.I. may be shit at driving, but put them on the field and it's a different story.

I actually love this game. Don't know why but I couldn't get into it when I first got it, but I am loving it today :)
-
Same .
And I know a certain someone on APForums who hasn't stopped playing it ;)
-
Is XVII Carmine Hawkeye on AP Forums??
Anyway, I haven't bumped the thread seeing as how all you faggots are playing MVC2, SSFIV and Black Ops, but the map pack came out and it totally makes up for the shitty shit default maps.
-
Oh wow, completely forgot the maps came out
Worth buying then? -
They're pretty good, not a big fan of Tempest but I love Breakpoint and Anchor 9's good.
-
Hmm think I'll get 2100 points so I can get the maps and super meat boy then. Thankss
-
Bumping this thread. There are some new maps out though I haven't gotten them yet so I don't know if they're good or not.
Has AP ever done a Halo tournament or has Halo interested died here? Long ago.
-
Halo's dead here. It's a Western FPS 360-exclusive. No one here wants that. Maybe if it was an JRPG/fighter PS3-exclusive then sure.
But I haven't bought the new maps. It's sad to say but I'm tired of Halo. Or at least Reach. I realized it was a chore playing the game. I never had as much fun with it as I had with Halo 3 or 2. It's just not the same. I'll see what the new Halo from 343 Industries looks like, since it won't be by Bungie. I'm certain it'll have much better graphics that can actually compete with current games, but as for Reach, I'm pretty much done.
-
Ah, ok. Thanks for the info. I just got back into Halo because I got bored of it months ago and lo' and behold I missed the time when people were actually interested in it. My luck.
-
I just got done playing some reach. If you ever want to play Outerspec, my gamer tag is Disc0Bird.

Its funny, cause I like I had no fun with 3 or 2. I think I mostly like Reach because even with the jetpack/sprint/etc add-on it feels very much like playing the original Halo. Which was easily the best Halo. Not because it was first, but because I think the game play was at its best.

Cool, I'll add you as soon as I get my Gold membership back and am not limited to my little brother's account. ~_~

Fuck me, I thought I had given this game up for good, but the Title Update by 343i is coming soon next month…
@Joystiq:
At last night's Halo Fest event, we learned about a rather beefy title update to Halo: Reach that's set to launch sometime next month. The patch implements a number of significant (and, therefore, controversial) changes to the multiplayer title, with the biggest being the nerfing of the Armor Lock ability. Instead of making you an invulnerable juggernaut, Armor Lock now only prevents most of the damage done to you whilst locked, and no longer detaches stuck plasma grenades.
Other changes include: the addition of "Shield Bleed-through," whereby damage done to players with a fraction of their shield remaining can now be carried over to their remaining health; an option to remove reticle bloom; the removal of a player's ability to deflect an oncoming sword lunge by meleeing (unless they too are using a sword); and the wholesale buffing of the pistol, bringing it closer to parity with its Halo: Combat Evolved predecessor.Sounds really fucking cool. I don't wanna buy the Halo CE remake but the maps, while remakes, look amazing. Maybe I can get them on USB or some other method I mean buy them separately later on.

Armor Lock nerfing?
Best news ever. -
Just wondering if anyone pick up Halo 4 today? Loving how 343 did with the layout and it feels like a totally new game but somehow it's still halo. If anyone has ever enjoy playing halo they should definitively pick this up. I didn't want to make a new thread for Halo 4 because I noticed not a lot of people here play it.
-
God,me and my halo fanboyism
But yes, actually, Halo 4 is fucking awesome. I already love it more than I ever did Reach. 343 did a great job. MP is much more fun.
-
Yeah we enjoyed the multiplayer somewhat. Not as good as Halo 1's imo.
Campaign was just ridiculously short tho. We got it at 11am and it was around 5pm and the credits were rolling. On the harder difficulty too. There's still some co-op stuff but I'm not expecting it to last the 10 hour mark at the very least.
-
Only played the first chapter for campaign and so far I really like where the story is going, Kinda makes Master Chief human. Did anyone try Spartan Ops yet? Great playlist with friends if you don't want to do the whole competitive shooting.
-
The guns sound way more awesome now. Especially the battle and assault rifles. Chief for Prez.
Loving these new enemies, the Forerunners. Their weapons are so fucking cool. Haven't gotten to Spartan Ops yet though. How is it compared to the campaign?
-
Forerunner weapons are awesome indeed. Spartan Ops is alright, but I don't find it that much fun.
On the storyline side of things, I really like what 343 did with the Didact and the Librarian, and overall linking back to the old Halo games with Master Chief's blank personality and actually using that as one of the main points of the story. How Dr. Halsey reprimands her interrogator by accusing him of only seeing Spartans as weapons, and how Lasky tells Chief soldiers are humans, too. It's clear the direction 343 is going to be going in with this new trilogy. Focus on the Master Chief and his personality and background. Good stuff.
-
^ Totally agree with you with the campaign.
Also sounds like 343 is going to set up a Competitive Skill Rank (CSR) just like Halo 3. This game will be the sol reason I'm going to be house potato.
