Haven't been able to play much. Watched Yun get beat up by my niece's C. Viper….with only punches. I swear, I can't listen to Yun without realizing that it's Todd Haberkorn, aka Keroro!

E. Ryu has some neat stuff off of his MK Stomp.
Also much like Dudley, if you do his LP SRK, you can follow with HP SRK for a little extra meter and damage.
You can combo into his U2 off an FADCed Haduken (or is it EX Hadu?) and get full animation.

Oni is pretty Goddamn cool, but other than that I guess it depends on who you main and how you like the balance changes.
I know Makoto got some many needed buffs such as extra stamina and a sped up Dash Punch (Hayate) and Rufus' EX Messiah Kick sucks as a wakeup attack now.
Guile had virtually nothing done to him outside of overall damage nerfing, and T.Hawk got a couple extra buffs like a widened hitbox on the Light Punch Condor Spire and a much needed standalone EX Condor Dive so he's got more options against fireball throwers.
I also heard Chun-Li got nerfed pretty bad, but I don't know all the details so I could be wrong.

I care about this entirely too much, I checked back every day since the game came out for DLC for costume packs.
Kinda disappointed in them though, especially Oni's.

I had a short amount of time with this game today. Lots of fun, and I appreciate some of the minor tweaks. I LOVE Yang. The switcheroo they pulled on the motions of his dash and his rolling kick had me messing up for a few rounds, but I started getting the hang of it and don't think it's a bad change at all. His combos are all pretty fun for me.
T.Hawk got a very nice set of buffs in this game 
(Especially the stand-alone EX Condor Dive).
He's pretty underrated in this game I think.
Oh and Fei Long has gotten pretty fucking awesome, I'm putting him in Yang's place so now my top three characters in the SFIV games are as follows:
Guile
T. Hawk
Fei Long

I watched the top 8 for MK9 and MvC3, then went to sleep because I had to get up at 5AM the next day (east coast, so SF4 finals didn't start until past 11). So here I am, finally grabbing some computer access, and apparently I missed a completely insane SF4 top 8. Fuck me sideways.
EDIT: and who the fuck is Fuudo? Quick check tells me that he's a Fei Long player that basically tore through the entire field. Good show to him and Latif, but unfortunate that Latif cracked so hard.
It was close. I was really hoping for Latif to win. But all in all, amazing evo. I was literally on the edge of my seat.
I had work all day Saturday and Sunday, absolute bullshit.

As much as I disliked 3rd Strike (the above post being being a small part of the reasons) I'm kinda interested in taking another crack at it once OE comes out. With all I've been seeing about the training/trail modes and what not, it looks like they acutally WANT people to learn the game.
I'm getting it regardless (Dudley ftw).
But yeah… fuck parries lol.
I also feel like I may or may not have been "properly" introduced to the game. The only time I really got to try it out though the PS2 version of "Street Fighter Anniversary Collection" which had essentially had a port of the Dreamcast version which may or may not have had a few problems.

I think the main problem is there's no way to bait a parry, since the "motion" (the character doesn't raise his hand to parry) doesn't come out unless the opponent is being struck. If you could bait parries, I think SF 3 would be perfect.
However, because of the controls… there's not proper way to implement that so.. I dunno. Parrying is hard to pull off all the time anyway though, I'm just saying.
From my understanding, as a Dreamcast port owner, the PS2 version was a perfect port of a port.
So basically it was flawless as far as I know.
Although I remember loading times on the PS2 and not on the Dreamcast, but that was SO long ago I'm afraid that could be a faulty assessment on my part.

It's not that long and you have to remember that they are working street fighter x tekken at the same time.
And as rican said a good balance patch isn't as easy as switching on a switch.

A closed beta isn't exactly as easy as flipping a switch, either. They'd have to create a partially publicly available build of the game, get it approved for distribution over multiple channels (e.g. 360 and PS3), and then hope to Holy Hell that it doesn't get pirated or lessens the impact of the game's release. Capcom doesn't do those first two because of the enormous time and money involved (same reason they don't do many demos) and also because they have enormous faith in their in-house QA team. Seth and Sven both talk that team up whenever betas are mentioned.
