I don't know if anyone here is familiar with certain 'conspiracy theories' - although I think some theories aren't that wrong at all - but I noticed a couple of things in One Piece.
World Government = New World Order
Tenryuubito = Annunaki
One Piece = Arc of the Covenant ??? - maybe Pluton
and a whole lot of symbolism. :)
Hopefully others also want to share their point of view on this. I'd appreciate no spam and haters.

The "politics" in One Piece is actually something I very much like in the show.

IMO, Raftel is likely an analogue to Pripyat or possibly Hiroshima. The risk rises the closer you get to the centre of the disaster, and it's likely related to how everywhere around the centre is all weirded out (the Grand Line's magnetism and geography is perhaps no weirder than the mutations and decay around Chernobyl
