lol she actually started working on this cosplay before the official manga colours came out. Or at least we decided to do this group before the manga colours came out. Then when it came out red in the manga, she started working on it. But her Sadi-chan was made for our Impel Down group at ACen.

i'm only bringing in the legs of the pants a little bit. my thighs are way to big for it to be tight i'd scar people. and dominatrix or not, i'm still a human and not a drawing and therefore i'd like to actually be able to walk, comfortably.

wig is so not workable. i already tossed it. it was like a french poodle gone horrible wrong. but it was what i could do for ohayocon, since the one i wanted to get was sold out online. this wasn't sopossed to go to this con so alot of things got rushed to get it to be wearble. i wasn't planning to get it done till acen. and on the bangs her bangs are just as curly as the rest.

naw not a bitch, i just didn't have time too for this con, list of things to change:
1. sleeves omg i'm doing the flames cause the sleeves looked stupid as is and covered way to much of everthing
2. tassles on the top and redoing my fastening system cause what i figured last minute didn't work didn't get tight enough. the tassles are all done though i just need to apply them.
3. make the leather piece in the front tighter. it like sagged. :blink: looked stupid.
4. new wig entirely. i had boob poping action cause of that wig moving swalling face i move it and out pop boob. boo.
5. get my shoes done. i used shitty wedges at ohayocon.
6.horns, i had my horns but they didn't quite make it. and i want to attach them to my wig. it's easier. XD.
7. my pitch fork should be done by then too. my renfaire buddies are making it for me. :)
8. almost forgot the hip peice too. i left off those leather pieces too.
also yes please post pics too omni only got me the buggy one and the impel down group one. i has like no pictures.

i'm not afraid to show skin. i never said anything like that. i said i wanted to be able to walk. and i've been to 35 cons and seen lot's of cosplays, and i can look at poeple and watch them walk and see it's uncomfortable. the body suit was becuase it was zero degrees out side at the con.
i only act in character for photo's if i'm lucky to begin with, unless i'm like that character. i did sadi-chan cause i was asked too. and i liked her, not because i can act like her or look like her.
and i've been called fat before. the exact phrase was fat bastardize smurf. and i got large thighs and butt compared to the rest of me. so i'd like to make my outfit apporpaite for my body type. and comfortable.

i don't take off my glasses for any cosplay. ever. i get nausous. her hair looks way more curly than wavy to me. but much larger curls than the wig i had.

i can't walk in pumps. period. and they are horrible shoes that are painful to walk in. i chose my black sandals to modify because 1 wider heel. 2 they are 5" tall. i'm 5' 4" i need extra height. 3 because i plan to make the toe of the shoe myself. 4. i wanted the shoes to be the same farbic and color as the rest of my outfit. i really don't know how many more times i can say that i'm making the toe myself and the shoes aren't done. :getlost:

that's why it's a wip. cosplay isn't about being like the character all the time or anything "perfect" like that. it's only about what you want it to be. and i want cosplay to dress up as a character and have fun taking pictures. and that is what it is for me. i'd rather be comfortable and have a outfit close than be uncomfortable and have it perfect. if you can't walk or get pain from your cosplay how is that fun?
there is no reason not to a character becuase your body type doesn't match the character you work with it to make it work with your body type if you want to do it.
there are many different ways to do parts of a cosplay. they don't all have ot be one way.

i have no problem with critque. as long as it's constructive and i have a right to my own opinion about things also and can choose what advice to follow and not follow. it doesn't make my attitude fail cause i don't agree with your advice. it does however make your attitude fail for thinking your opion is the only right opion. just because i want critque doesn't mean i'm gonna follow every suggestion.
to note also i wasn't really all that happy with my cosplay at ohayocon either. but it was wearable. so i did. however i didn't have any intention to stop work on it or improove it.

actually if you read on an early post i was following some advice from people. just not yours on the shoes. cause i don't like your idea. and it's not what i wanted in the shoes. your advice on the shoes wouldn't get me what i wanted on the shoes.

i'm not making random shoes. i'm just making her shoes completely from scratch. so it's the same color and fabric as my outfit. like i want. using pumps is not the only way to make shoes. :getlost:
and i think she is standing at an odd angle in that picture to be making an outfit from. you can barely see some of the parts of her outfit. it maybe better for a few things but overall not a great picture to work from.
the pants doesnt look that hard to do tho… All you have to do is get some tight pair of jeans or something tight cut triangle around the waist and hip add studs

i just did it all from scratch so all the fabric is the same. i've acutally been looking for glue on studs for the pants i already made.
oh ok well then it should be even easier done.. if you take patters of chaps it would be about the same…

Alina, you need to seriously relax. As hard as you may find it to believe there's people who don't see cosplay as a profession. A lot of people do it to have fun, not to please perfectionists. To say "If you're not going to do it right, don't do it at all" is a very douchebaggy thing to say, there's no such thing as "right". I doubt there's nothing in even the greatest of cosplays to complain about. There's no need for cosplay police, but if there ever is I'm sure you'll get a call.

You've got a nice waist which is way more noticeable in this costume then your thighs, that's really where your eye is drawn to. It would really help the costume out alot if you did have tighter pants on.
I was thinking maybe the Rose wig from Cosworx might work (someone might have a better idea of what would be a good wig), though you'd have to work it in order to increase the volume, since Sadi-chan has aloooot of volume in her hair.

Also, Ningyobaka. you do really need to take in those pants. Honestly you won't waddle if you wear tight pants. I have never seen anyone wear tight pants and waddle. You don't have to make the pants super supre tight. But those are way too baggy. Also the waist is too high so lower that….a lot.

now see i never said i was fat. :P i siad someone called me fat. i said i just had bigger bottom than top. i be a 32-22-36 there is a big difference between 22 and 36. and incase numbers don't do it as a good description i get described as dolly parton upside down. i'd just rather keep it to people looking at my waist instead of my thighs/ass. i do plan to take it in a little bit. just not nearly as skintight as in the pictures.

i've always been told my ass is huge and thighs fat. when you have to get a size 7 pants to go over your thighs and it's got a huge gap at the top cause your waist is a size zero that's bad.
or your skirts need 4 extra inches in the back so they are level with the front thats bad.
when using pants patterns i have to use a size 14 for the back of the pants and a 4 for the front so i don't has weird pully action camel toe. :P that means my shape ain't normal.
