I would never call myself a Katy Perry fangirl, more of a guilty pleasure, but one thing I do like about her is her willingness to accept and embrace just how silly pop can be. I mean, you get these pop stars trying to sing their studio-written songs like it's the new Beethoven or something, but dude, it's pop. Just have fun.
Note that this new album is after she's dealt with depression for a long while.

Listened to The Flaming Lips' new album today and HOLY SHIT. Out of nowhere they've produced their best album maybe since Yoshimi.

A stratocumulus cloud, occasionally called a cumulostratus, belongs to a genus-type of clouds characterized by large dark, rounded masses, usually in groups, lines, or waves, the individual elements being larger than those in altocumulus, and the whole being at a lower height, usually below 2,000 metres (6,600 ft).

Anime intros of the nineties. There are some serious gems in there

The visual quality of this fanmade music video isn't the best, but that's because a lot of the footage is very dated.
The sentiment behind the video still managed to get me emotional.Context for those who don't know:
The lyrics are autobiographical for the vocalist (Tom Delonge), about his early days and the start of his music career.
Most of the footage used for the video is clips of Tom that help illustrate the intended mood. -
found while searching for a sensory equivalent to the word "Psychotomimetic" and i guess this is it–- Update From New Post Merge ---

Happened, Happening by Yuying Hsu is a really great jazz album and it's a shame that I can't find any of her other stuff or even stuff that might be similar because most sites that offer automated recs don't have it listed for some reason. Catching the Monk and Amsterdam Red Light District (which I'm listening to right now) are the best songs on it.

I am currently listening to loca by Shakira. I am a great fan of her. Recently I bought special rechargeable wireless headsets for listening her songs. Shakira is a great artist and I love her high pitch voice. Here have a listen to it.

I find anything that's lyrically attractive just ends up disrupting my workflow. So…synthwave, lofi etc all work for me. -
King Push's new album on repeat ever since it got released. What a masterpiece.

This went under my radar, but apparently last year Coldplay was good again for about 10 minutes.
