2010 is the year I become stronger than ever.
New Years Resolutions
-
-
- Improve my japanese. (Katakana is so easy… but Hiragana and Kanji)
- Save money to visit my friends in Japan with my friends here.
- Decide which classes I'm taking for college in Spring.
- Expand my vocabulary even more farther.
- Get more head... >;)
- Stop procrastinating in my goals. -_-;
-
The same as it was in '00, '01, '02, '03, '04, '05, '06, '07, '08, & '09.
which is now funny since I don't remember what it is anymore.
-
Cutting down on the sugar, increasing on the alcohol.
My problem is I have an unnaturally strong metabolism. Like, two steps from diabetes, so it's really hard to actually get and retain muscle. I had to drink this HORRIBLE weight gain formula when I was working out, and I really hope I don't need to start drinking it again… DX
Be careful what you wish for.
I know two overweight people who were just diagnosed with diabetes in the past week. One of them is 20 years old, so you better get a Hemoglobin A1C before you talk about putting on anything. :V
-
I took that stuff plenty before. I'll be fine. I'd still rather not though, because HEEEEEAAAAAUGH!
-
Is it really necessary, though?
I take pride in knowing that when I was in my best shape, I never had to take supplements or steroids or anything. There were a lot of kids at my college with body fat under 10%, but they popped pills, too.
Plus…you won't have to feel sick swallowing it. D:
Oh...I'm drunk and rambling, don't mind me.
-
1. Play guitar more, possibly join a band
2. Work out more, started last year off well, then fell away
3. Eat better, less fast food
4. Be more adventurous -
Sarus I feel your pain, I have been mainly concentrating on kanji lately because i you can crack that you have te hardest part of Japanese done.
-
1: make the most beautiful song I have ever made.
2: actually getting some guitarlessons after amateuring for 13 years
3: Attend singing lessons
4: Work out more
5: Be more like Luffy (a care free, happy-go-lucky attitude) -
Guess it's that time again, isn't it? Okay then. For 2010, my goals are:
- Cook more, and rely on frozen/boxed foods less. xP
- Work more on my art/writing, especially one stubborn story…
- Learn to sew (for cosplay purposes, of course)
- Get out and meet people through community events.
-
@Friend:
1. Get to Japan- but that's something I vowed when I was 14.
2. Develop an acceptable level of Japanese literacy.
3. Expand manga and anime I watch and read- this is like the safest vow I could ever make.
USA Summer Camp from Guy Healy Japan.
Look it up if you're interested in going.
-
1. Watch all medabots episodes.
2. Watch all nekorahmen episodes.and more-
-
Mine is to quit smoking. I havent had a cigarette since before 11:59 new years eve, I'm kinda going nuts.
-
I'm glad I swore a vow never to smoke, and even when drunk I always remember that vow.
-

not that i have any experience with tobacco addiction or anything, but i'd get some nicotine patches or gum, assuming you haven't already.
-
I've never been adamant about resolutions, but if I can just limit to stuff that I wish I accomplish in general this year, it would be the usual–eat healthier, pray that one of the companies I applied to has me living iin Japan by summer because I didn't wear a suit for a week in the Tokyo cold for nothing, pay off a decent amount of loans, get a bartending job within the next two months, exercise more, and of course, drink more.
-
My mother has attempted to quit smoking. 5 times. Every time was a failure. She tried many methods, and they didn't work for her. Because of that, I really don't have one method to recommend, besides conviction. You gotta stick with it, otherwise you will fail to quit (lol irony) no matter what method you try.
Go all shonen manga on that shit! Don't give up!
Is it really necessary, though?

Well I'm certain you're just the coolest guy ever, but I can't gain weight on my own. Literally. So I need to drink terrible brown liquid to do so.
-
My aims for 2010:
Find a manga which fulfills the promises made by every series which starts cool then descends into either shonen tripe or perv-land.
Collect the three valid types of South Korean 1,000 won note (I have two) and the five 5,000s (I have one) The six 10,000s is financially beyond my reach.
-
Finish La Mulana by myself. Yes, that's a resolution.
-
Get more in fit.
-
1. Justify my parents spending $7,500 every quarter for school.
2. Write more. The ideas have been coming, but I just need to manage my time better and not waste so much time doing absolutely nothing of worth. Not that I waste time often; mostly just when I'm "trying to write".
3. Have definition on my six-pack even AFTER I eat a meal. I don't know if it's just the way my body works or what, but I basically can only see it right before dinner and when I wake up.
4. Continue eating healthier and working out every day. May go vegetarian for a bit again, but I used that as an excuse to eat more bread (i.e. empty calories).
5. Stop wasting so much money on manga. One Piece and Pokemon, sure, but not series I don't really care about.
6. Continue spoiling my girlfriend.
7. Never let myself get sad/depressed. Easy enough.I'm pretty happy with how my life is going now, except the grades. I think I'll do great this year, and if it's anything like 2009, I'll be high off of life and happy the whole time.
-
Looking back at my resolutions, I failed in two but got new wisdom at least.
This year I'll try the same ones and maybe add a few on the journey. -
Play more Starcarft2. Finally download and play the Mother 3 fan translation.
Hurray for my carefree life. -
I hope to go vegetarian when I enter college. By that, I mean to imply smoking a shitload of weed.
Resolution fulfilled.
-

-Get a tablet and practice with poster art and work on a new coloring style.
-Buy a ton of paper and ink and draw until it's all done. Poster arts, pinup art and comics.
-Get a job to support my hobbies.
-Try a different hairstyle rather than my current afro.Other things that seem impossible with my current lifestyle is starting my own art clique, learning to drive and getting a car, and finish reading atleast 15 books.
-
1. Finally get a six pack. I've been exercising loads this year, and it's all just starting to show; but I've a bit further to go yet.
2. Try and get a part time job in town. I'd been wanting to work at the Local FP, so I just need to pluck up the courage and make the call or go instore.
3. Become more spontaneous. Get more confidence, and stop being a doormat who tries to please everyone and himself is left disappointed.
4. Broaden my horizons reading-wise. I'm always reading, I am at the minute and I've got more lined up, but I need to keep at it. Also I suppose, same for Movie-wise. There are always classic movies to be discovered.
5. Meet new people and socialise more; Broaden my circle of friends- Sorta ties into the confidence thing.
-
1. Get better at drawing.
2. Get better at story-telling.
3. Get better at philosophy. -
Cross of more items from my bucketlist (like 30%).

1. lose weight (seriously)
2. save money so I can pay the school I want to go to
3. reapply to Mode Design school and get accepted this time.

6. finnish at least the prologue of my comic and start first chapter
7. less AP, more life.
8. stop being depressive all the time. Start being awesome instead.
9. read more newspaper.. that's all, I think.
I'm sure I won't follow much, but I can give it a try, right? -

2. save enough money so I can go to Japan for 5 months for school
3. post more on here
4. start on writing original stories
5. stop being so lazy -
Continue losing weight and swimmin.
Really dedicate myself to my school work.
Be more open for new experiences instead of poo pooing everything righ of the bat.
Save money for my secret goal.
These are the ones that i will focus on in 2011,
-
Improve my creative english writing & speaking.

-
1. Do better in school.
2. Be a good podcast host.
3. Keep up on blogging
4. Keep being active -
Pretty much along the lines of what Flux said.
1. Try and get a part time job in my town. I've been slacking in that area and I need to put some cash back in my account, so I'll take some time and hit up a lot of different places for Resume's, all I need is a little bit of courage and not be so damn timid!
2. Become more spontaneous. Have more confidence in myself and in my appearance, and stop being a introvert/shy/timid/nervous person. Also need to meet new people and socialize A HELL OF A LOT more; Broaden my circle of friends.
3. Broaden my horizons Food-wise. I am so incredibly picky and limited with what I'll try that's it's not even funny. Seriously. There are people who wonder how I even live.
4. Try and lose a few ponds. This one will be easy because I Love to run on treadmills. Just gotta find the time.

My New Years Resolutions? Some of them are pathetic, some of them are respectable. In no particular order:
1. Have a good graduation.
2. Improve at drawing.
3. Get a decent job.
4. Get up-to date with One Piece.
5. Become a Pokemon master.
6. Save up for college. Not even joking with the last one. Well, more on the lines of having a large collection of good Pokemon for battling.
-
I've got 14 minutes left.
1. Stop procrastinating.
-
Happy New Years, Mothafuckas!!! Yoooo!!!
-
15 minutes in.
I resolve to look at this year in the most positive light possible, and instead of feeling bitter in assuming that this year can't possibly be as good as the last, I resolve to do everything in my power to make it better, and look back on 2010 and it's fond memories warmly, not bitterly.Best of luck to everyone!
-
My resolutions are same as last year, which were:
1. Start working on my drawing skills even more often!
2. Make some cool characters for M.U.G.E.N!
3. Doing my other martial art moveset projects!
Hopefully I'll be able to achive at least one of these goals without all the bullshit that I had to put up with that held me back last year. -_-
Btw, HAPPY NEW YEARS, EVERYONE!! :D
