if it's the dark areas being TOO dark, you've gotta mess with your contrast. Especially if the bright areas still look fine.
Let some of those mid tones show brotha.
Bioshock was cool. But I just didn't get into it. Plain as that.

Final Fantasy VII I feel like I'm about to get flamed, but I just can not get behind this game. Don't get me wrong I love Final Fantasy (FFVIII being my favorite) I just thought all the characters were incredibly bland and the story was probably my least favorite out of any Final Fantasy game in existence.
Let alone Square just doesn't seem to know when to stop cashing in on this mundane piece of garbage
1 Playstation game
1 Ps2 game
1 Psp game
1 mobile game
2 Movies
countless action figures (Lets see some from the other Final Fantasy's pleeease! I wan't me a 12 WoL)
lets not for get trading cards, collectibles, plushies, and everything else
It's like Square is like "SHIT WE CAME UP SHORT THIS YEAR, LETS HIT THE DART BOARD OF CRAPPY FF7 IDEAS"
and then we get Final Fantasy 7: The quest for more money, Aeirth's revenge.
Come on, ff7 crisis core was the psp game. You can´t complain about it.
Haven't played, no interest.
Oh yeah, I remember, Fallout 3 sucked for me. It was just so boring and I stopped playing it, I remember having the crappiest guns and not knowing what to do all the fucking time.
Maybe it's my fondness of sunlight?
Might I reccomend the Boktai series for you, then? =P
Also, I wasn't too big into God of War. I played the first and just found it average. I didn't get into it, yet Madworld is just as violent and I had a lot more fun with that game.
and I guess part of the problem is that everyone over-hyped it for me.
I'm not even interested in playing GoW II, but I might just rent it to see how it is anyways.
All the COD and Halo shits. It's always the same boring thing and I can't understand how people can have fun playing with pads instead of mouses.
^That's what I meant by people spouting bullshit at those kinds of games
COD and Halo have absolutely NOTHING in common besides the fact that they're of the same genre.
Guitar Hero/Rock Band. I hate these games. While simple, the only real reason for playing it is listening to music while playing, and I do that all the time. Just pop up some music in another tab.
@Kairouseki:
I played Bioshock for a couple of minutes but stopped because I couldn't see a damn thing.
There is a brightness slider in BioShock. I think when you start playing the game it askes you to adjust the slider.
But if you think Halo 3 sucks you might not like BioShock either. Both are about as good quality wise. BioShock perhaps being the one I like more but, still, craftmanship quality of these two products are pretty much on the same level. The other is doing some things better while the other one is doing some other things better.
Final Fantasy X
uninspired, shit story, shit mechanics, shit characters, overall an awful game
Thought of one that hasn't been mentioned yet–The Lego games. I don't hate them, and I wouldn't even say they're "bad", but I found them way too easy and boring as fuck.
Halo series
Call of Duty series
Legend of Zelda series after the 64 era
GTA series after 2
MMORPGs - any
retards who think the CoD multiplayer is good should stop fucking about and play TF2.
Are you saying that you don't like the N64 Zelda games, or just all the ones after the ones made on the N64? There's only been 2 console ones, Windwaker and Twilight Princess, and I haven't played Windwaker very much but I though TP was fantastic, though I want the next one to not have a gimmick like turning into a wolf in TP.
Kingdom hearts.
All of them.
I dislike them because it's all fan-pleasing and no real plot.
Just like naruto.
Speaking of which, I hated TP. And the wolf gimmick was just god-awful. The game bored me to death, honestly. I honestly preferred WW, much like I prefer Sunshine over Galaxy,
Oh and @SympathyX:
I find COD's mp to be fun, not saying it's OMG THE BEST THING EVER but you dont have to call people who like to just play it RETARDS
I think the best online game that I've ever played is Metal Gear Online. I love sneaking up on people, choking them out, then shooting them in the head  .
If you really just wanna have plain fun online, I'd go with Halo 3. But if you're tired of people taking it too seriously, either play in the Social playlist in Matchmaking or find friends and play Custom Games (there's no matchmaking for this one) and there's a shit-ton of different games that are really fun, especially the first time.
Truth be told, I remember I used to "hate" Halo and be such an anti-fanboy of it since I blindly followed Nintendo all the time, and I had never even played (I mean for more than 15 minutes) Halo, I was just against it because it was popular, and looks like this is the case for a lot of people here. I played it once at a friend's house for like 10 minutes, and I was having fun but it wasn't GREAT.
So last year I had some money and thought "Let's see what the fuzz about Halo 3 is" I played it and I just freaking loved it. Campaign was weak yes but the MP was just crazy. I'd love to go back in time to the moment I first played the game, to me it was a graphics king and it looked so amazing, the graphics are bad for a 360 game honestly and I only had that thought back then because I was so used to the Wii.
Are the Okami games any good?
Yes, very good, but the last boss is kind of lame compared to everything else. I'd say go for it but get the Wii version since you actually get to use the remote to paint. You said Okami games, is there more than one?

That must've been my mistake; the one for the Wii is the same for the PS2 (though there is a sequel coming out for the DS next year, apparently). My bad.
I would also send out my agreement with the aforementioned critisizm of The Twilight Princess. It was honestly too easy… (combat was ok) and a little too straight forward.
And the wolf Gimmick was fucking ASS

I agree, and add that I hated the filter that they used for the Twilight Realm, and felt that overall the entire game felt empty, moreso than OoT, and overly brown to the point of it being painful on the eyes. I mean, how to you go from WW's vibrant and lush color-scheme to brown spewed everywhere?

Surely after means after and not including?
…and regardless of console, I'm talking EVERYTHING Zelda after the 64/GB era. Theres been like four handheld titles atleast since then as well.

I dont have to, but I still do. You dont have to take the words of some guy you've never met to heart so much.

The Wii version, while being a port of the PS2 version, is slightly less accurate than the PS2 one due to the tacked on waggle. Plus there's no ending credits, for whatever reason, so everyone who made the original got no credit for it.
. Plus there's no ending credits, for whatever reason, so everyone who made the original got no credit for it.
Really?
The only issue I remember people complaining about with Okami Wii was the infamous "IGN" watermark cover. To which Capcom sent everyone who bought the game new cover art, which actually looked really cool.

I have to agree there. Though I did like the filter when it was used in the actual Twilight realm. That place has a pretty spooky atmosphere. It was too bad it didn't go all out with enemy designs or puzzles.

There's also that too.

I thought the lighting matched the graphics style a little better. Brighter colors were good for a simple, undetailed style, but I sort of thought the lighting and the almost dulled colors helped to bring out the details. The Twilight Realm did give me headaches from straining my eyes so much, though.
The transition from wolf to human was smooth, I felt, thought I did get impatient because I bought the game to be able to swing my Wiimote around like a sword; but they made it fit in smoothly, there were plenty of things you could only do as a wolf and vice-versa, but now that they've pulled that stunt I don't think they'll be doing it again.
How about Spirit Tracks? I've played bits of it….anyone else?
I don't mind playing CoD online (I get smoked most of the time anyways ), but what really pisses me off are the people that have to sing into their microphones.
Just the other week one guy kept singing the phrase" Thank you mama, let me transform ya", which was so awful because he had no singing talent.
Don't they know how annoying that is?
Thankfully there's the mute option
@Mr.:
Thankfully there's the mute option
That's the best option ever, wish i had one in real life…
I just realized the word "hate" strongly implies fanboyism
And saw this thread on GS which is exactly like this one, only of course the comments are almost completely different. This one guy kinda said what I wanted to say, only better.
! Every single Sonic, Mario, and Final Fantasy.
! The thing that annoys me most about them, is that the same people who love them, tend to be the same people who complain that franchises like Halo and COD are milked.
! Now, I'm not huge on either of those, but let's count the amount of Halo games: 3 in the series, 1 absolute rip off expansion, and Halo Wars. CoD has 6 games and I believe two expansions early on. That might be different but that's not the point.
! Now, I absolutely can't count the amount of Mario or Final Fantasy games. Not only are there billions in the linear series, there's a ridiculous amount of spin offs going into every genre, absolutely pulling at strings to fit the franchise name on the crappy sports/whatever spin off to sell more copies. I just absolutely don't get how someone can like mario or final fantasy, then complain about FPS games being 'milked'. Is halo and CoD milked? well, with the treatment of the PC version, CoD is, sure. ODST absolutely proved halo is as well, though you might be able to blame microsoft for that one if you want.
! But the point is that that if each of those series released a new game a year, like CoD does, and Final Fantasy/Mario stopped making new games, it would be several lifetimes until they approached the amount of games and milkage in either of the other series.
! Oh, that and the gameplay is crap and the story (final fantasy anyway) is worse.
Keep in mind I do not fully agree with him, but I understand where he's coming from
Yes I agree with him to a certain extent also.
It's the exact same thing vice-versa though.
Especially that last comment.
\ I can't understand how people can have fun playing with pads instead of mouses.
Because it's easy that and not everyone has a place for a board and mouse.
Resi evil 5 is not universally loved by any means. A lot of people think it was a step back from Resi 4.
General Consensus (fanbase) is that every RE game after Code Veronica was a step-back from every other main RE game eventhough most people I know didn't even like 3 while CV winds up not being mentioned at all.
I think you take questions a little too literal there, bud.
But personally, ya I agree. I hardly have room for a mouse with mine, but then again I could just move this stack of books to make some ^_^
^ Yea I'm like that at times
I guess I should mention my picks
Super Mario 64
World Of Warcraft
The 8-Bit Megaman Games
Halo
SSB: Brawl
Perfect Dark
Okami
Killer 7
Shadow Of The Colossus
Saint's Row
Wait, everybody loved Killer7 at one point?
Haha ya I thought it didn't get much popularity? I could be wrong.
It's no Halo or Super Mario 64 in terms of success or popularity but people liked it.
Well ya I figured it wasn't up there with Halo or Mario, but didn't know it was well recieved. I liked the game and found it to be quite beautiful.
Final Fantasy 7, Halo, Fallout 3 to an extent
Oh thats right Fallout 3….i played it and enjohyed it to an extent until i realized there were no cutscenes and i said f this game. It was also a snooze fest to me as well, the dog was the only thing that pulled me in and then slapped me in the face knowing he could die.....dumbass dogmeat.
Me too… I hate Fallout 3. I only like JRPgs.

aside from the criticism of being a bit boring (which most people knock Fallout 3 for)
… no offense, but absent cutscenes and a party member that can die are pretty terrible reasons to dislike what Fallout 3 has to offer

I guess so if you can get past the bad story, freezing & hanging, dropping audio, level cap,& bad ending.
Soundtrack grows on you though.
yah know? apparently those weren't big issues to him.
everytime the game makes my PS3 freeze, i thank the gods for the gameing gifts of ports.
^ Mass Effect has cutscenes but members of your party can die wonder if he hates that too.
Is Fallout 3's PS3 port really that bad?
My friend has the PS3 port but he hasn't mentioned any problems and he is the type of guy who can be pretty… picky. So I kinda figured the problems the version supposedly has are (even if annoying) still rather uncommon. During my playthrough with 360 version, which took around 125 hours, I personally didn't encounter any noticable big bug/glitch. But I might had been just lucky.
the graphics are still just fine. People say it's the worst looking of the three… but I could care less.
The problems lie in the glitches. There have been many times the game has simply frozen up on me. (more so in the GOTY edition). But seeing as how I have it set to auto save near constantly... i just shut down my system and turn it back on. Most other games, i'd never tolerate that shit... but I really enjoy Fallout 3
I really am not the kind of person to hate things so much, so I don't know. Most series I've tried that I didn't like I just say "They're not my thing.", like Metroid Prime. I never enjoyed it all of that much, but I'll never say it's a piece of shit because I know that it isn't, it just isn't the kind of game I enjoy.
The closest thing I can think of for me is Animal Crossing City Folk. And I'm well aware of the fact that isn't a universally loved game. But when you go to a place like Animal Crossing Community you will temporarily believe otherwise. lol
I actually love the original Animal Crossing. I've played the game since 2002, and that's primarily why I hate City Folk. It's a horribly lazy rehash. The few things it went out of its way to change actually made the game worse.
Really, the decisions that were made with Animal Crossing City Folk confuse me even more than Baby Daisy's inclusion in Mario Kart Wii. With the decisions that were made here, I have no idea how Animal Crossing GCN came out so perfectly. Really it must have been a fluke, because they just keep on changing unnecessary things and leaving the things that actually need to be fixed alone.
