It was out-of-character for Sanji to turn Luffy in for Nami so she could buy stuff from that salesman in the filler arc. I know it was for Nami, but it just didn't seem like the type of think Sanji would do.

I remember watching a special and Luffy tried to eat a treasure chese! It was a very amusing thing for me to see
-
I don't remember if Zoro did the tarzan call in the manga…I don't remember it.
yeah, he did, at chapter 245. the way he act really amuzes me XD and when I watched the anime I was like… 'what??? O_o' XD
-
Haha! Zoro Shouts Like Tarzan While Swinging On The Vines! I Lol'd At It! XD
-
@Cap'n:
I don't know if I mentioned it already, but Foxy backstabbing Luffy after he helped him reclaim his ship felt really wrong to me and pissed me off. Foxy's a notorious cheater and all, but he obvious had his own sense of honor.
Agreed. This is a very big Toei OOC moment and one of the reasons I dislike the anime version of the Davey Back Fight. When you the chapter where we see Foxy for the last time then you could think that maybe next time they´ll meet Luffy and Foxy will get along with each other, but in the anime the last time we see Foxy he´s almost like the classic stereotype constantly reappearing comic book villain who shouts "I´ll get you next time Strawhat! I´LL GET YOU NEXT TIME!!!"

I thought Zoro shouting like Tarzan before swinging on the vines in the Skypiea arc was out-of-character. Zoro's usually a quiet & serious guy.
That's what makes it funny. Zoro is always serious even when he swings on vines shouting like Tarzan. He didn't do it as a joke. Just like when he struck a pose in Little Garden. He's dead serious when he does these silly things. It's what makes him a fun character.
And speaking of OOC. I never thought Chopper is out of character in Skypiea. He is a reindeer after all and their first instinct is to run scared. Chopper however fights that instinct but sometimes it takes him a little time. The reason why he was so brave in Alabasta is because he was fighting for a friend. He wanted to be brave for Vivi and his crewmates. In Skypiea however, he's alone in a completely new and scary environment so of course he's scared at first. But he comes through in the end like he always does. That's how I interpret his character anyway.

Well said on both accounts! nods head ^_^

one thing that was kinda weird was in movie 2. I don't think nami would want sanji putting sun tan lotion on her back but idk

yes! which is why i love zoro so much! he never ceases to either amuse me or make me go all fangirly and giddy X3 I so want to see that episode in skypiea! i've read the manga past that part, i still go back and read it just to see him do that… and oh man... the cool pose rolls

I always found it strange that Luffys punch used on Aluvida was so effective. It had the power of Bazooka
-
The anime made such a big deal out of Luffy Pistoling Alvida in the manga Luffy just knocks Alvida clean out no flying included.
-
I thought that Luffy acted pretty weird and out of character in Movie 6. He just seemed too hyper.
-
Holy mega bumping, Batman!
But Luffy TOO hyper? Is that possible?
-
@Senshi:
Sanji pointing a gun at Robin was a bit weird. To me, he'd never use a weapon, let alone his hands.
I thought that was a little weird as well when i saw that.
-
@Cap'n:
Sanji will slap a bitch if he has to.
Man Sanji, you asshole.
-
Hehe…the funny things about old threads.
After watching episode 212, I think it was really out of character, if not completely WRONG, for Luffy to ask for the horse instead of Chopper (altered from the manga).
-
In the episode 202 (G8 filler) Sanji fights with his hands.
-
I thought that was a little weird as well when i saw that.
But the thing is, that is did happen in the manga. Chapter 114, Page 10, last panel.
-

he wasn't fighting
he was cooking.
-
The anime seems to try to insist that Luffy doesn't drink.
-
Movie 2. When Usopp is fighting that gas guy he's running scared as usual when all of a sudden he says "yea right" and looks badass looking his slingshot. I like that he did that, but that's not his style.
-
_< I hate whenever they try to pit Zoro against the rest of the crew, like in the Memory Arc and the fifth movie. It's so lame. Also, I remember a part in the third movie when Usopp said something like: "Chopper? That guy is so weak, he could never hurt anyone." That made me mad.
^^;; Sorry if any of that was already mentioned. I didn't really read every post.
-
-
It looks like he's praying, lol.
-
Movie 6, when the crew are facing off against…erm...that bad guy at the end, whoever he was again. >_> My memory's not to clear on this one, but Usopp, Chopper, and Robin are MIA, everyone gets into a spat, and for some reason blame Luffy for what happened. Then they all run off to try and find said missing crewmembers, even though the guy who's clearly the cause of all this is right in front of them. I HATED this scene in the movie, especially when Zoro runs off in search of the missing crewmembers as well, without a glance at Luffy, which was completely OOC in my opinion. I cannot picture Zoro, as depicted by Oda, to completely ditch Luffy and run away from the scene of an impeding fight. (Though my memory is fuzzy on this, and gratefully so)
-
^that was kinda part of the main villans plan, To get them all upset and make them split apart.
-
I remember some scene where Chopper was apparently worried that Robin would become a worm from reading too much because of the term bookworm.
Chopper is a doctor, so he would know that would be impossible, that and he is always asking for medical books. -
Does Luffy drink in the manga? I thought his not liking alcohol was one of the more charming things about him, it made him more childlike…
-

He also hits Zoro with his fists.
Oh yes, that picture clearly is evidence that Sanji PUNCHED Zoro.
-
The whole thing about Sanji pointing a gun at Robin (Miss All-Sunday). Yes, it's unlikely he would ever strike a female as this has been reinforced in the Enies Lobby arc, but notice how it's more of an instinctive move, to protect Vivi seeing as she's upset to see Robin. When Robin knocks them out and he falls to the lower level of the ship, Sanji sees Robin's appearance and immediately goes all mellorine~.

He drinks alcohol in Jaya in both the manga and anime.

He said he also hits Zoro with his fists which means thats not what the picture shows.

Sanji hits (or tries to hit) Zoro with his fists. I thought Sanji cathing a blade with his bare hands was even more OOC…
I would guess people who animated this were just instructed to make a comical background-fight or something, and they didn't know (or forgot) that Sanji doesn't use his hands.
-
LOl, I know people have mentioned it, but this is the first time I've seen the scene. XD

O.o…...XD!!!
what episode is that from XD?!

Lol that Tv special was probobly the best, It was fun seeing the characters act that way, Robin kept siging her lines because she thought it was a musical. XD
-
Not exactly out-of-character, but there's a Conis keychain and Toei made her hair PINK!

Weird. I guess they got her confused because of the pink dress (which they turned blue).
EDIT: They also called her "Connis"! Gee, not alot of effort on that one.

Nah. There was that filler scene in Loguetown you might be thinking of when he goes to the bar and gets the milk, that was misleading to say the least.

That's pretty much what I was referring to; I don't watch the anime too much so I wouldn't remember if there has been similar situations later on.
-
^Nuff' said. -
@Lobster:
^Nuff' said.Ooo-kay. What does that have to do with anything?
That's pretty much in-character for Jayabura (funny, though).
-

I agree. That was probably one of the dumbest things I've seen in the anime. Was it ever implied that the horse was part of Foxy's crew before he made that choice? It just didn't make any sense to me. It did however provide soem unintentional laughs…
-
@Mr.:
…Was it ever implied that the horse was part of Foxy's crew before he made that choice?...
It was made clear throughout the entire episodes that it belongs to Foxy now. First when he captured it Foxy said it himself and then when the DBF started Tonjit only stayed with Cherie where she was taken to but she wasn´t his anymore.
Other than that, a pretty dumb change anyway and a real WTF moment.
-
^that was kinda part of the main villans plan, To get them all upset and make them split apart.
That was waht was so OOC. THat they got pissed at each other more than usual over stuff that has happened before and was played off as comedy. WHich is the main reason I didn't like that movie as much as others do.
Biggest OOC moment in Davy backfight: "LETS PLAY AGAIN!!!!!"

Thanks for setting me straight. Must've missed it.
