Muff.
What? It's a real place! Seriously!

My family and I have been discussing possible places for our (next) yearly trip, but we haven't decided because air travel is OOTQ and nobody wants to drive a billion miles to South Dakota (where I want to go sight-seeing).
Some suggested Oregon, but I can't imagine anything interesting up there. Almost everything in California we've seen, finishing off the Southern California stuff with a trip to San Diego a few years back.
Been to Arizona, and Nevada. So our options are rather limited now.

Both are what you would picture a paradise to be.

Most of these places aren't as you envisage. I would suggest something a little less know. -
I think I might do Berlin + Amsterdam trip next summer. If I get somebody to go with me.

wonders if SMUDGE has been to the US, Hawaii, Japan, China, France
Anyway, one of these days I'd like to take a drive all the way across the country since there still so much that I haven't seen, and I haven't been out west since I was 11.
I'd also like to visit Japan, Thailand, Costa Rica, and possibly Cuba, mostly for tracing back family heritage.

Most of these places aren't as you envisage. I would suggest something a little less know.Anyways, I'll explain. You may be right, but for a person who has absolutely never travelled beyond his own country, I doubt I will be disappointed with going to any of these places. The USA is where the hype is at, I've always dreamed of seeing something beyond my expectations, because that, of course, is what would make this a wonderful and truly unforgettable experience. But seeing how the whole world is currently drowning in shit, it probably isn't the finest place to go right now. Hawaii? It just screams "chill" right in your face, I think it would be perfect for a nice, quiet (or perhaps not) vacation, far away from home. As for Japan, well, it's the fucking home of manga and anime! What else could you possibly dream for, besides a country that shares one of your finest interests in great quantity. Of course me not knowing the language could prove to be a problem, but hey, translators exist (of course they also want money, which could be a bigger problem, but.. ugh.. I think I'm overthinking this). And I simply need to satisfy my curiosity, I've seen a lot of crazy shit on the internet coming from Japan, I want to see for myself if people really are that crazy and ready to do anything for money (not meaning to sound offensive to people living in Japan). I want to visit China mainly, because of the oh-so-famous chinese food and of course, because of the Great Wall of China. My only interest in France, is that I want to see the Eiffel Tower and check if their streets really are as fancy as I've heard. And finally, as for England, well, you tell me. I'm sure there are a lot of things I would like there.

Miniluffy, where are you from?
I'd like to travel to so many places. Starting with places around the US (Colorado, Arizona, LA, NYC, D.C esp). I've lived around Dallas my whole life and haven't travelled to many places, so I'd love to see more of my own country. I'm excited for our Acen roadtrip, though I don't think they'll go for it I'll see if we can hit up some of the historic Route 66 places <3
As for other countries I so totally wanna go to Australia (and New Zealand) _ I will do this someday. Japan, UK, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, hell I wanna do a European tour. Russia too.

I did, ^^;
If I had to pick a place just off the top of my head… I would say Egypt, just to see the pyramids and the sphinx.
If not there then probably some other rune like place like stonehedge or some other ancient lost city.
-
Going to Bulgaria on Monday to visit my girlfriend for Christmas. I'm just hoping the snow storms in my various stops along the way won't cancel my flights. (Washington D.C. to be specific)
-
Vacation… Where would Kuma send me.
-China: For the food and taking lots of picture. Mostly the food.
-England: Family, and I just want to see how life is like there. I may end up migrating down there in the future.
-Venice: A city on water. I'll want to boat around and eat alot of food.
-Egypt: tour the dessert and pyramids. I'm really interested in ancient stuff
-Japan: Probably the last place I'd ever visit. I don't really know what I'll do down there.. -

New Zealand, for the gorgeous scenery, Italy for my ancestry, the beautiful architecture, churches, and art museums, and Japan…because dude...JAPAN
but seriously, I did a project on Kyoto and Tokyo, they are full of interesting things (temples, gardens, architecture). I'd like to see Okinawa too. -
Either Greece or Australia, unless one of them sucks.
-
hmmm
Japan& FloridaWhere in Florida? I recommend Fort Lauderdale and St. Augustine.
I've always dreamed of going to Italy. Backpacking through Europe would be fun…Canada, Egypt, Israel, Japan, Russia, and a road trip across America.
I have big travel plans. -
If i had the choice of course japan. But for me a trip isn't likely. Anyways I want to just go out and get to wherever i'm going by traveling on foot and hitching rides to see the world meet the people. and if i die while traveling i won't mind since i went out and tried it. If possible by next new year i want to leave. I was just waiting until i was over 21 to do it. I turned 21 on the 6th of this month. But if it was just a trip and i had the money Japan.

Enjoy your stay, Pengu.
Thanks. lol I sure had a nice welcome haha, we had a hard time getting a taxi and then trouble getting the internet to work so my girlfriend's brother said "Welcome to Bulgaria, you know, where everything doesn't work."
But it's nice so far, especially cause I don't see snow in San diego.

Well, hospitality is one of the finest marks of our country and it's quite famous for it.
As for getting a taxi, it usually isn't very hard, but if you knew how tiresome some of those drivers are, you'd understand their assholish and seemingly unwelcome to tourists behaviour. Of course that's not the case with all the drivers, some of them simply skimmed through english classes or something. Where exactly did you go again, because some places are really packed, it's no wonder you couldn't get a taxi in a furious weather like this. I remember the snow reaching height of approximately one meter and half about two years ago. I really do not want to remember how much of a painful winter that was.Oh, and as far as the statement goes, well, come on, it's not all true. Just most of it. Heh. But we find ways to make things work in our own way.
-
Central Africa, because its high variable and extremely beutiful enviroment and with so much places to see from dense jungles to beatiful beaches without mass tourism to savannis with elephant and such.
Too bad that Africa at south of Sahara is like open warzone with lushing corruption and disease.
I want to go see enviroment, those damn natives are nothing but pain in ass and should just die.
-
Machu Picchu would be awesome, I am pretty sure I would pass out at some point though.
-

From the elevation? Yeah, same here. I was dizzy just from driving through the Appalachians.
-
I would love to visit Japan while I'm still in my 20s. I want to see Tokyo in particular so badly: I want to try all the crazy food and visit temples and nightclubs and most importantly, GO SHOPPING! Is it true that nighttime in downtown Tokyo is more neon-tastic than Vegas? I want to see that too. xD
Also, I've always wanted to visit China and Thailand. No region in particular, I'd just like to soak up the atmosphere and take a million pictures.
I'd like to see Africa, mostly for the wildlife and environment. Again, no region in particular, just somewhere I can enjoy the scenery without a strong possibility being of raped and murdered by some random militia.
Sweden. Because I hear that's blond country. xD
I was dizzy just from driving through the Appalachians.
Lol, southern Appalachia is where I live. You get used to the elevation eventually, but when I moved here from Chicago 16 years ago I was sick as a dog until I got used to the change in pressure (and the clean air).
I'd still rather live somewhere else, though. :getlost:
-
I'd rather go to Africa, England, Hawaii, Germany, or anywhere else. If I were to go to Japan, it would only be to paint and what not. Alaska would also be on my list. Hell, a simple creek in the middle of a forest would be fine.
