It has similar art style as godlike Berserk series. Kinda tempted to check this out just to enjoy good art, I am huge fan of every panel of Miura's Berserk series.

Crap I just wandered to Manga spoilers section, I didnt know there was OP chapter on this week so I thought it was some kind of fake or early discussion and I just gave it a quick clance and managed to completely spoil chapter for me. :cwy:

My christmas is now offically ruined… I think I have some issues but its ok for me.

I wonder if Naruto spoilers are up aswell, might spoil myself on them now aswell since disaster has already taken a place... and I need something to laugh at.

Hahaha I am at part 2 and damn my chest hurts so much for holding laughter, I am not alone in house atm so I would not want to act strange.

Brilliant…absolutely bloody brilliant. I agree with review and that Episode 1 was dissapointment like Naruto part 2 is and I love reviews sub-plot about obvious insanity of review maker.

God Youtube have some awesome stuff.

I used to play MMO-game and way how correct english spelling was raped and mutilated and being still understandable have made me quite forgiving for casual grammar mistypes…

The funny thing is everyone still responds to my posts. They obviously get the Msg. They just like to play "grammar Nazis" on the internet.

How weird, I finished reading this manga very recently. Very good manga indeed!

! Although indeed the ending is pretty out there, but I guess part of horror is not being able to understand a lot of it.

Basically it's a horror manga about a small town that slowly starts to decay into an obsession with spirals and crazy shit starts to go down. After the theme of the series is set after the first three chapters, the story is then presented with each chapter telling a short story set in this town most of the time ending on a status quo. The story is centred around a teenage schoolgirl, her family and her boyfriend. Beyond this it's pretty hard to summarise the plot since the story has such a lack of continuity.

A lot of the imagery of the series is very graphic and pretty abstract, personally half the images I found made me feel a bit uncomfortable in the way that a horror should, while the other half were just so bizarre that I just couldn't help put into perspective what I was looking at and crack a smile at the sheer absurdities that occur in this manga.

Freaky as hell!

I just read the first three chapters of Uzumaki. The second one REALLY freaked me out. The first took a bit to get interesting, but that's cause they were introducing characters. The third one was pretty good.

Definately going to read more. I wonder if they'll make an anime off of this or a movie. I hope either one doesn't suck.

Also, main chick looks SO MUCH like Christina Ricci. It's the big ass forehead.

Crummy CGI and it doesn't really look half as disturbing as the manga

I don't really recall much except people turning into spirals and things like that, so I think it's probably alot similar to the manga but the ending I think it's a little different

In resumen: horrible shit happens, it revolves around spirals, some are plain horrible, some are dumb and horrible (medusa, jack in the box, the storm), it isn't very long (that was a plus for me because I usualy don't like seinen main characters).

That Franken Fran, is the one about a animated corpse girl who perfoms horrible operations on people based on their wishes? kind of like a quirurgical Pet shop of horrors?

Just finished Uzumaki. Majority of the episodes were awesome and would have made nice mini-stories on shows like Tales from the Crypt (only a billion times scarier in comparison). Jack-in-the-Box was pure genious.

However, the ending was complete shit. I agree.

Lesson learned: If you're boyfriend/girlfriend has experienced an extremely bizarre death of his/her father and wants to get out of town with you, you grab your family and get the fuck out!!!

! I also hate that they never showed if the little brother escaped or not. Oh, and the TV reporter towards the end was totally pointless. How could they kill her off. Shame. She was hot.

I'm reading Uzumaki right now, on chapter 8. This is probably the best horror manga I've ever read, though I can't think of many others . Man, it just sends shivers down my spine reading it.

BTW, anyone else having problems with the forums running slow?
