2009 is easily the best year for One Piece ever

Saying that, I think this thread should be kind of a record for all the cool One Piece type stuff that happened this year

Here we go:

Febuary 13 - Chapter 532

April 10 - One Piece Character Tournament was announced to be coming back. (Luffy being the victor)

April 12 - Episode 396

May 30 - Funimation Simulcast shuts down

May 31 - Unofficial One Piece Podcast Pilot released

June 14 - Episode 405

June 19 - PAL release of One Piece: Unlimited Cruise Episode 1

July 3rd - Viz announces manga speed up and and english release of ID chapters in Shonen Jump

August 30 - Funimation Simulcast comes back (Episode 415)

September 25 - PAL release of One Piece: Unlimited Cruise Episode 2

November 25 - 2 chapters in 1 week, chapter 565 and chapter 0.

November 27 - Arlong Park Forums Awards was announced to be coming back as well.

December 12 - STRONG WORLD!!!!!!!!!

That's all I can think about worth mentioning so far

Ch. 532, the Shichibukai Colorspread… dunno if it was awesome enough to be a highlight but I've regretted missing it ALL YEAR. It's epic to me xD

Personally I think aside from the Strong World film and Chapter 0 this has been a rather poor year for One Piece. Aside from the cover chapters for the Mugiwara and introducing Sadi and meeting BB again I can't think of much ;-;

I WOULD however like to mention english releases of both Unlimted Cruise games as a highlight of the year.

One of my personal highlights of this year is the fact that the Anime got a new season here in Germany with way better dubs.
And of course chapter 0 and the ID Arc, since a lot of known characters showed up again.

i think oda now needs at least a year to rest a bit and to concentrate on just his manga…having so much to do this year sure was hard , but damn good for us..

now oda make the manga like never before...give this WAR!! a final it deserves and lead us to fishman island..

Not sure about the date but Vol. 48 won the "Sondermann" Prize 2009 in Germany this year. Lol, Vol 44. won 2008 ^^
