I have many Ethnic backgrounds. French,Scottish,Irish(a lot of it), German,English,Lebanese and a small amount of Native American. I have never been able to visit any of the places of my ancestors, but many in my family have(mostly Scotland). Cool thing, my grandma is a genealogist, so i have access to the history of my family tree(my dad's side) dating back as far as the Vikings era, after that no more written records.
This is our family Kilt pattern
If one day i do get to visit one of the countries in my background, I would like to visit the European counrties first, then if things ever calm down:getlost:, Lebanon.
Don't really know much about the other side of my family, it's just a mesh of whiteness. As for the rest, I'm half Cuban. I'm as pale as you can get, so nobody believes me when they hear it. I enjoy it to the extent that I can understand Spanish (don't speak it), but it's also given me a mother who yells everything she says. I guess I can't complain though, as it's netted me good food and awesome rum.
Let's see, one side has Irish and Italian. The other half has Hungarian (or Austrian, but we're pretty sure it's Hungarian), Russian (or Ukraine), and some English. I'm going to Ireland soon, like, two weeks actually. Haven't gone to any of the others yet, but if/when I go to Italy, my family still owns a vineyard there, so I can get free wine.
Let's see…. for me it would take time to figure it out. First grab an Iberian, Celt, Roman, Basque, Greek, Visigoth, Suebi, Moor and mix them all up and you get a Spainard now move the Spainard to Mexico and have him/her intermarry with an Aztec and you get an Mexican and theofore I'm Mexican with an Native Mexican Americans and European blood. (Yes I did not have to do that, I did that to be a bit snarky, making a subtle snid jab at huron but it's true on what's my heritage is.)
Indiaaaaa~~ Kerela to be more exact. Both of my parents are from there. I've never been.
My mother's side is Danish and my father's side is Cherokee. There's also a little French-Canadian too but I don't know what side that is. I know barely any Danish and I'm taking French in school right now but don't really like it all that much. I'd like to go to both Canada and Denmark but haven't yet.
And if you're going to make a thread you should contribute in your opening post.

The Roman Empire never reached Afghanistan.

i am not really from there, dude.but isolated mission from the roman empire passed the afghanistan, and reached even the china
Well I'm English, my family is English a long way back, but my last name is Irish. Most people in Britain are going to be a combination of Irish, English, Welsh and Scottish - and maybe more - whatever they think their background is. That said, a lot of people who don't know me have said I look part-Chinese or Japanese, though I don't see that myself and nor do any of my friends.
Predominately Polish and Serbian, but there are bits and pieces of Russian, German, Austrian, Croat, and Italian in me. So yes, pretty much White.
My hertiage goes back to Italy and Poland.
Well, my father was from Mexico, so I have Spanish and Native American blood from his side of the family, and my mother is Irish/English/Scottish/Welsh. Never been to Mexico or the U.K., though. I also cannot speak more than a few words of Spanish (and most of those are curses xD).
It's kinda funny in a way. My mom & her family were all blue-eyed blonds and because I'm so dark in comparison, some people didn't believe we were related at first glance. I've actually had people ask me if I was adopted. I guess some folks don't believe that different ethnic groups can, you know, interbreed.

Wow, you really don't look it. Generalizations ftw. xD
I was born in India, to 2 Indian parents
Both of them are Mangalorian, but my mom grew up in Bombay and my dad in Karnataka.
(sorry I have no idea if I'm spelling these right)
Philippino.
…
16 "not to be confused with Philadelphia's"
Hmm, I'm not 100% sure about my ancestry, but I know it's mostly German. There's also a bit of Scandanavian in there.
White people. Lots and lots of white people.
Predominately everything that makes up the UK (Irish, English, Scottish), and then German.
Vietnamese with a bit of Cambodian in there somewhere.

Right? Sometimes I just say I'm Irish to save myself the trouble. I blame Al Pacino.
@Gorgeous:
Oh and somehow, on my father's side, I'm related to Nathan Hale from the Revolutionary War, the man who said, "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country." Not sure how. Maybe through marriage. Shrug
If your father is 100% Irish I have no idea how that came about, but it's still pretty cool.
My heritage is actually very convenient, I'm exactly..
50% Scottish
25% Norwegian
25% Polish
^This is at least what I'm told, I'm sure if you went back a few centuries there could be some blip in the clean cut percentages, but that's the gist of it, and I would reckon fairly accurate.
P.S. I see there's lots of other Scottish, and even a few Polish people out there, word to my people, lol.
100% Moldavian. Ancestors are from Transylvania/Romania.

Don't know my dad's side (they've been white since the late 1800s at least).
My mom's side: Grandma's family came to the U.S. from Czecho-Slovakia (I actually have extended family there, though I've never met or talked to them) and Grandpa's family from Italy.
…Dinner must've awkward during WWII.
Dutch, dutch and dutch.
Haha I'm a mutt.
I don't know much of my background, but I do know a few bits and pieces of it.
I think the majority of my heritage is Irish, seeing as my Dad is 1/2 Irish and my Mom has some Irish in her too.
My Dad's mother is also part Indian (I think it's Cherokee, but I can't be sure atm)
My Mom's side has Scotch-Irish and Scottish in it too.
I'm told there's a little bit of German too.
Other than that though, I don't know much :I
Dutch with a little bit of German mixed in.

No I can't … my parents separate when I was about 2yrs old and hadn't the opportunity to learn this language. Though I'm planning on taking classes at college.
So I don't have the Italian ID but I am aware of that.

I come form very-boring-heritage-land.

Naawwwww–ttt- very intresting.
I'm mostly Ukrainian, I think my moms side is german/french? I wish I coulda learned Ukrainian in school instead of them forcing us to learn french.

Half Cuban.
The other half Irish with a little bit of German.
I also found out some time ago that I'm 1/16 Black.
pretty much completely german. Not that interesting, is it? :D
My great-greatparents on my mother's side came from Italy (Naples and Abruzzo I think) and my great-grandparents on my father's side came from Krakow, Poland and Slovakia (forget which area).
Irish. Belgian.
Serbian. Father's from Bosnia, Banja Luka, Mother from Serbia, Lajkovac.
i'm german irish on my dads side and my moms side i have no clue but i guess we have some cherokee from her side, although i just look like a stereotypical white kid
