SAMURAI PIECE
Hello everybody! This is my re attempt at a new, better, and stronger fanfic! My previous fanfic involved the One Piece crew in a futuristic setting; sadly however, all but 2 of those chapters are with me right now. I was running out of plot ideas anyways: and then it occurred to me I could make a fanfic with them in the past…. In the era of shoguns and samurais and whatnot. So without further ado, I present to you a brand new fanfic: Samurai Piece.
PROLOUGE: In feudal Japan, the nation was divided into several provinces, all controlled by their rulers, the Jinkun…. Whether the Jinkun were mean, nice, angry, depressed, whatever the case, they had their position by their points of strength. Each one of them had a special power or strength that made them the rulers. At the top of the ladder, however, is the Shogun. Known to be the strongest man ever born, little is known about him aside from his incredible power and abilities. Our story is about travelling people that have their own abilities or strange powers of their own. One in particular, however, has his eye set on becoming the Shogun….
Chapter 1
The Rescue
The travelers all set in a wooden wagon with creaky wheels and rusty nails. Not very impressive form of transportation, but whatever they could get their hand on was fine. At the helm, holding a tight grip on the steer was a muscle bound man with green hair wearing a red robe and 3 swords on a black sash. Inside the wagon was quite the posse: An actual, living skeleton wearing a casual, around-the-house type of robe, a man with blue spiky hair and an open, highly decorative blue shirt with long open sleeves, and a woman wearing a purple robe with the occasional flower design on it. She had her face in a paper bound book, her prized possession. On the side, carrying bags of food on his shoulders was a man wearing a chef type robe and hat with shiny yellow hair that covered half his face. Back to the wagon was a man who had several small objects scattered around him, tinkering with a piece of wood and a couple supplies, a woman with orange hair in a decorative red robe resting against the side of it, but arguably the most noticeable was a man sitting on the edge of the wagon, kicking his feet, humming a random tune, with a hat by his side.
The orange haired woman slowly opened her eyes. She looked up at the sun for a second, then at the inside of the wagon. “Zoro,” she called to the man pulling the wagon along, “We’re getting low on food. We should stop now. Everybody hopped off the wagon and Zoro put it down. He grabbed a piece of cloth and wiped his face. “That’s a suitable work out for today. Who wants to go get food?” Almost immediately the man with the hat’s hand shot up. “I expected that,” Zoro muttered to himself. “Who else?” The man with the yellow hair shrugged. “I guess I will.” He said. Zoro nodded. “Luffy and Sanji.” Zoro nodded. “I guess that’s all we need….” “YOSH!” The man with the hat, Luffy, yelled. “Sanji, let’s go!” Sanji got up and started walking towards the forest to the left. There weren’t any villages yet, so they had to be careful. “Try not to get too sidetracked this time!” The man who was working with the tools yelled to them. “Whatever, Usopp!” Luffy shouted back, skipping along without a care in the world. Sanji gave Usopp a thumb up, which he promptly deciphered, as “I’ll deal with it.” Usopp laid back on the fence. “I hope he does….” He muttered.
The forest was big. Luffy skipped along, happily gathering herbs and acorns for roasting later that night, while Sanji kept alert looking for any animals. Luffy arrived at a very tall tree. He kicked it and he saw a coconut fall. Instantly a grin spread across his face. “SANJI!” he yelled. “CATCH!” Sanji turned around and the only thing he saw was a coconut smashing his face in. “I’m going up this tree!” “Wait! Luffy! You don’t know what’s up th-“ But Luffy was already halfway up the tree. At this point there was no stopping him. Luffy climbed the tree higher and higher until he reached the top, where he saw a bundle of big coconuts. He plucked them one by one and dropped them to the ground, where he heard each of them hit the ground and one time, Sanji yelling out in pain. Luffy laughed and looked upon the landscape. “What a great view….” He admired. He closed his eyes peacefully before he heard a rustling noise. His eyes popped open and he looked ahead of him. A little farther away, there was a gap where a tree had been. He was sure of it. When he heard some voices yelling, he began to wonder. He slid down the tree. “SANJI!” he shouted. “A tree fell and I heard voices come from the forest!” Sanji looked at him with a puzzled look on his face. “It’s probably your imagination….” He told Luffy. “Your very overactive imagination.” “I’m not kidding!” Luffy persisted, waving his arms and making hand motions for a falling tree. “There was-“ he was interrupted by a sound of something hitting the ground. Sanji began to wonder. “Maybe you’re right. Wanna check it out?” Luffy grinned. “I told you so!” he began to chant. Luffy grabbed Sanji and grabbed hold of a tree trunk. He started running backwards, his arm stretching along with him, being able to do this because ate a forbidden fruit that gave him the power to stretch his body like rubber. “Luffy…. What are you doing?” Sanji asked. Luffy grinned. “Hold on tightly.” He hopped of the ground and shot forward instantly. Sanji shrieked. “AAAAHHHHHH! I’M GONNA DIE! I’M GONNA DIE!” “YAHOO!” Luffy yelled. They finally slowed down and came to a stop. “Luffy, never do that again….” He panted. But Luffy wasn’t paying attention. He was paying attention to a commotion not to far from them.
“SSSSHHHH!” Luffy whispered at Sanji. “Look!” They saw several men in large straw hats and armor walking away from the forest, 2 dead trees next to them. “Has the girl been brought to the hideout?” One of them said. “Yes. Everything is going according to plan.” Another replied. Luffy and Sanji glanced at each other, serious looks on their faces. “Good.” Another one said. “She shall be our ruler’s next offering. “Offerings?!” Sanji whispered to Luffy. “They’re going to bring a girl to their master and kill her!” Luffy stared in wonder. “I’m not going to let that happen….” He got up and walked over to the soldiers. “Hey kid, beat it. We have personal matters to attend to.” Luffy stared up at them. “I heard you guys, you know. I’m not going to let you kill someone else for such a stupid reason.” Sanji gritted his teeth. “That idiot!” he thought to himself. “He’s gotten himself involved in their deals!” “Tsuki….” One of them said to the other. “He’s a witness.” Tsuki chuckled. “Heh…. You do realize we’re not going to let you get past us with that information?” Luffy looked up at Tsuki. “I don’t care about that!” He yelled. He slugged Tsuki with a square punch to his face. “I’m not going to let you get away with something like that!!!!!” He yelled angrily.
