Yesterday started the 9th season of Scrubs though it is not like the 8 seasons before it was entertaining.
I liked the two episodes which where aired yesterday but I am kind of curious how the series turns out without Zach Braff.
So did anyone watched it?
Didn't Scrubs have a big hyped finalé last year, that was like the last episode ?
Yeah but the new season is somewhat different.
Consider it like a spin off in which Turk and Dr.Cox are teachers at Med School.
I'm liking it so far. I'm happy that they have Jo now as a regular cast member now. Since she was the best of the new interns from season 8. I did mark out of the return of Kelso last night while watching the episode. And here is the new opening, I did like the remix of it.

I thought it was awesome! Ive gotta say i had my doubts after last seasons perfect finale but damn its just as good as it was before! And most of the people ive seen complain dont realise that the only reason they are complaining is because they have kept the title as Scrubs and not labelled it as a spin off!
Love all the new characters (well except that rich kid douche but im guessing thats the point your supposed to hate him) and Dr Cox, Turk and JD were as funny as ever! And the way they explained the Janitor's absence made me laugh so much, so simple but something you'd see that character doing lol!

JD has turned waaaaay too gay and proud of it.
Last time I checked in was Season 7 when the quality was really starting to nosedive.
This series has really started to suck in the past couple seasons. And without the Janitor or J.D.? Wow, this sounds terrible.
so why is the Janitor not in? Is it cleared up or?
Doing another show maybe, since it has Cox it's all good though.

Sorta like in Last of the Summer Wine, currently, where (due to legal reasons) they've delegated Clegg
and TrueLove to background characters, while basically making a whole new line-up of main cast.
I like it. I need to get used to these new characters though.
Lucy seems like a mix of JD/Elliot. She has Elliot's insecurities with JD's neediness/imagination. I think I would like her a lot more if I have never seen Scrubs before, but bringing back the naive scared newbie is refreshing.
The arrogant jerk and the model seem bland. I can't see them developing as characters.
Drew is my favorite of the new cast. He's definitely unpredictable and multidimensional. I can't pin down his personality. His scene at the ending of episode two made me laugh real hard.

I was actually a little afraid that it would ruin a great series going in, but I have to say that I really did enjoy it.
I like all the new characters, and of course the old. I'm glad that they kept Denise from the last season, she was great.

I think it should have ended with Season 8. Then Scrubs could have ended on a good note and be remembered as a great show. Now, with this new season, there is a chance that it will take a major nosedive in quality. Well, here's hoping it won't.

I thought he just wanted to move onto something else…
He wants to do more Independent movies or something like that.
Yeah he wants to write scripts and to make movies.
It's not just that, but they (Everyone, including the show's Creator) felt that J.D. has been taken as far as he can go as a character, they don't see any more maturity or live lessons being put into him, so they felt it was time for his arc to end.
When the show got picked up for a 9th Season, The show's creator tried hard to fight the studio to get the show renamed (Thus making it a spinoff instead of a new season) as "Scrubs: Med-School". But the Studio didn't want to because Spinoffs USUALLY fail, the only one that didn't was Fraiser.
So, basically, Everyone including the guy who CREATED the show, sees this more as a Spinoff than a new season of the same show, so that's how I'm gonna view it. As far as I'm concerned, "Scrubs" ended with "My Finale".

I thought tonight's episode made JD completely out of character, but then I realized that this is what JD has become on Scrubs. It was horrendous.
Scrubs was really sharp the first three or so seasons, was still good but had run its course by season 5, and just sort of trudged along in seasons 6-8 (excluding the musical episode which was brilliant.) And it also had a really excellent SERIES finale, which is where it should have ended. Its still a decent show, but not what it was. Hopefully the filtering out of the old crew to a new cast will put some fresh blood in it and next season they'll rename it "Interns" or "Med School" or something..
Also, why DID the Janitor leave? I didn't catch the episode. (I know the actor is on another show, I'm curious about how they wrote out the character.)

Okay, that was pretty awesome.
I always loved the concept they had in season 1 where he was just a figment of JD's imagination and no one else could see him. (which is also why he isn't in the opening credits.) They of course dropped the idea at the start of season 2 when it became clear the show was going to run for a while and having him not intereact with the rest of cast would be akward, but its fun seeing it in season 1 looking back at it.
Episode 3 was nice.
You can clearly see that JD gets replaced slowly but it doesn't feel awkward ….

It does air on Tv6 at around 01.30 A.M during weekdays and 10.30-11.30 A.M during weekends. (though from what i have seen from the show, the channel doesn't air episodes after/right before the time Diana left.)

This. Without having even seen the start of Season 9, I can already say I feel that this season is gonna be more or less like an '80s sitcom spin-off.
That's usually not a good sign.

I liked the new episode! The only thing im hating this new season is those 2 security guards! There blatantly a janitor rip-off but completely unfunny!
I would love it if later in the season Janitor does return and kicks both of there asses! lol

To be honest, I think the show would be so much better without JD. So fucking stupid to the point of annoying.
The last couple of episodes have been pretty great. Denise since her introduction in Season 8, she have becoming one of my favorite characters. I was happy to see Sunny on tonights episode.
I always liked Denise's character. It was good to see Sunny, just to know the other s8 interns aren't just gone. Wondering if we'll get to see Todd, Katie, Doug, or Shirley at all. It would be hilarious to see the Todd teaching students. I figure Jordan and Janitor are busy with their new shows, so I understand not seeing them.
I just find it weird that Lucy is well into Med School and still was having trouble taking blood.
