Robin Cosplay Help

I'm finally going to be able to make it to an anime con this year, and I'm quite eager to cosplay. I really want to cosplay as Robin from Strong World, this outfit.

I've been trying to find a fabric that would work with that, and so far, I've only found dance/swimwear fabric (that wasn't even really that accurate) or upholstery fabric. Does anyone know where I can find something that will work?

hmmm that is an awfully short dress.

Hmmm….you are probably not going to find any green and white striped material. But it is getting to be winter so all of fabric stores will be carrying the heavier winter fabric. So you might find a nice sweater type material. Or a nice knit fabric would work really well too.

I would make it longer, I wouldn't wear something that short in public. And thank you! I'll keep my eyes peeled for that kind of material.

lol good on the making it longer. XD There is nothign wrong with short dresses or skirts. But that just looks like it stops right under the butt. XD

Maybe you should just concentrate on getting the right fabric and then painting the stripes on with some fabric paint :3.

That's what I'm doing with my Bonney cosplay since finding a material that already has the pattern proved near impossible XD.

That's a good idea. I considered like, using a dye, but I'm not sure how that would work out. Thank you so much for that advice!

I've got a green and white striped sweater shirt… XD

Those sweater dresses are really in this year, you might get lucky and find one, or atleast find the right color green or white and then paint it.

.. That really looks like she is wearing a sweater with no pants pretending its a dress O_O

IDK where you're located but stores like The Gap and Old Navy are big on the stripped sweaters like that.

I actually ended up finding something perfect on Target. It'll just be a matter of making the sleeves…thank you for all of the help and suggestions! ^^ It was much appreciated!
