Well I see no point trying to convince spiritual understanding to you..
I like how you think this is about some sort of religious prejudice and not that you're trying to tell me 2 + 2 = Bird.

I believe in "it".
Which I hope is coming this year?
Bird equals 5 last I heard so… yeah, I won't say it. xD
Don't forget Jenovah.
No. They all have the same god anyway.
I don't get what you mean by "no" Oo

Indicating what you didn't understand from both my statements would help convince me otherwise -_-
It's SIMPLE, we control where we go (with regards to heaven or hell, thus our fate and destiny), but at the same time, God is well aware of the outcome and thus, our destinies(sp?)..

But there was a Link in my "No".
@Gaimon - Sorry, I misread your post.
Anyway, I'm going withdraw from this thread, it's a little to serious for me and I'm not a pro on religion including my own. So, this is my last post in this thread.

There is no control with destiny. Do you not get what destiny is.
What your saying is we're just walking a path that we don't happened to know the route of. If God can see it, it is set in stone.
Hey here's an idea, how about instead of giving god every power you can just because while still trying to believe in free will you pick one, because few things are more worthless then people lazily stretching things rather then confronting inconsistencies in their values.
Nah. I don't believe in destiny.
Simply there are things we can control in our life and then there are things which are out of reach of our personal control. Most things in life are governed by extreamly complex relationship of cause and effect. Also known as chance. While a good lot of us are perfectly cabable to do our own decisions these decisions are still products of brain chemistry, rather than freewill, and we have very little actual control over our own brain chemistry. So, yeah, I believe chance and tangled brain chemistry are what makes us what what we are.
No evidence, so no.
quit postin' in here
the song, Do You Believe in Magic, keeps poppin' into my head when I sees this'n thread

Yeah, if we can control out fates but God already knows what's going to happen then we don't get to control our fates. It's kind of contradictory.
I looked at my other post and realized that it doesn't really make much sense. Basically I believe that there are certain moments in our lives that are meant to happen, main points if you will, such as when and how we die for example. The environment in which we're raised can affect those points and influence them though and we do have a small amount of free will. You could equate it to the opening scene in Yu Yu Hakusho. He wasn't supposed to dive in front of the car but he did due to the small amount of free will he had. I'm not sure if I make any sense or not :ermm: .
Destiny is simply the effect of some will acting upon the world we live in, with sufficient strength to make the idea behind it manifest. If thy will is strong enough, and remains unopposed by a will stronger than thy own, then thou shalt accomplish whatsoever thou hast set thy hand to, puny mortal. But don't count on it.
