As it was described long ago. 3 in November, 3 in December and 3 in January. Though I would like to see the actual commercial.

I'm glad the the movies are coming out on Blu-Ray, and I hope the US eventually gets the same treatment, but just hopefully not at those ridiculous prices. We all know that some of the movies weren't that good, and paying that much for some that are only 50 minutes would be insane.

4, 6, and 9 are widely considered the best of the bunch so far. Unless something goes horribly wrong, 10 should be joining them too.

10 isn't joining them. 10 is going to make a whole new level(or ten new levels^_^) of the likes that no other One Piece movie can ever even dream to compare (except maybe movie 20).

would buy them if i could play them. sure there region locked so im screwed ^^;; if they were region free i could go without subs. would probably only buy movies i liked if not eventually pick them all up.

Just out of curiosity, what are the chances that HD Raws might be ripped from these? Don't get me wrong, if Funimation brought these out here, I'd buy them first thing (hell I wouldn't mind importing and watching the likes of Movie 6 RAW), but as it stands right now, porting K-F's subs to an HD Raw and converting it to a PS3 friendly format would sure be an awesome substitute before official BDs hit.

Movie 8 did, no reason these wouldn't. I am interested in seeing screencaps from the first batch though, especially movie 1.

I'm biting on Movie 6 as soon as it comes out in Japan because of how beautiful it's going to look on Blu Ray. But as soon as FUNi releases it in North America, day fucking one.

I hope they are released in Europe or get Region-Free Blu-Ray versions. I'm going to have to get the the DVD version of movie 8 already, even though I wanted the BD version.

I don't get how movie 6 is held on such a pedastool and movie 2 is cast aside, I know 6 looks amazing, and 2 has a shorter run time. But in everything, from the way the plot evolved and each of the crew having different interesting villains to play opposite to even the look of the picture, movie 2 is just much more like One Piece. I think it definitely deserves mention and it's more than worth a look.

It feels more like One Piece in that it's very formulaic in its approach, to the point comes off as uninteresting and uninspired. Movie 6 presents us with a fleshed-out story that makes it worthwhile to watch, while Movie 2 feels like a slightly elongated episode.

This is cool news! I knew the other OP movies had to be on Blu-Ray, but seeing them all here from 1-9 looks promising for an eventual American release. I hope they do release a Blu-Ray box set for all the movies (1-9 at least) here, since I never did get the chance to get movie 8 on Blu-Ray.

I got to totally disagree with 2 uninspired and 6 being fleshed out at all. 6 is an excuse to draw some rather nice imagery, but it was all very unlike Oda. And the story stuttered constantly.

Im pretty sure its Region A locked.
I'm in Region B? So thats be screwed.. I onl have a ps3 aswell need to save up for a blu ray player so i can unlock it.
Plus the sinlge blu rays are like £34 each so the boxset will be very expensive D: and i dont have that kind of money unless i get this new job >_>
oo According to CD Japan the Blu ray singles are Region Free. So high chance of boxset being region free aswell

All blu ray dvd's in Japan are in the same reason as US so go figure.
