decent episode, but animation was a bit poor in some parts and unnecessary filler was added. buggy was funny though. oh, and the bulgori make funny grunting noises, which make them less creepy and menacing, imo. :p
That's why rank Takagi and Mr. 'eww blood' Deguchi on the same level is insane. Really fun episode, Buggy never disappoints….glad to see a dirtier Impel Down too.
Good episode, loved the filler they added. Buggy was hilarious and OMG! They showed Shiryuu!

Kinda crappy episodes as fare as perspectives and compositions used, save a few parts.

Dammit. They had to show Momonga blushing and being such a gentleman?! I was already starting to like the Hancock/Momo pairing, but this episode did it.
It was nice to see Buggy again! But was I imagining it, or did Buggy look a little younger in this episode? Anyway, it was a pretty good episode all in all. The wedding bells, misinterpretations, return of Bishi!Luffy, the butt slapping and the random filler were my favorite parts. <3

…Yeah, they kinda have to do that. Otherwise, they'd just be losing money from doing this. Although I heard that they apparently inserted the ads at pretty random spots, (Seriously, put one after the opening, one between the eyecatchers and one at the end. How hard can it be?) and that they apparently showed the same ad every time, which would indeed be really annoying. (I remember experiencing the same thing when I was watching the whole Fansubbers and Industry-panel that took place during an anime convention a while back… I believe there were no less than 7 ad-breaks, and every single one of them showed the same commercial for a DVD-boxset of G.I. Joe.)
Amazing episode. ID is already my favorite manga arc (excluding the one that is going on now) but to see it animated is so good! Anime adds so much more, compared to the manga. Even the filler bits, in such an action-packed arc it blends in perfectly.
I am almost sad that there will be a month of movie 10 filler coming along soon :(
The episode seemed so short IMO, shorter than a normal episode. I agree that even the little filler bits were pretty interesting though. The way Buggy handled trying to get around that Den Den Mushi was simply idiotic. I can't wait to see the rest of this arc animated though, the animation only gets better.

Yeah the anime puts in quite a heavy subtext there…xD I remember that episode where she dares him to do a body check on her. That scene built up some tension!

But let's think about this for a second. We're getting professionally subbed episodes of One Piece less than an hour after they're originally aired in Japan. For free.
I think I can deal with a couple of commercials if that's what they have to do to continue this service.

BTW, have they shown the VA for the other characters (is there a chance that Shiryuu will have the same VA as Bison…sionce that would be so hilarious)?
We won't know the new seiyuus until the episode where their characters are introduced, unfortunately, unless one of them blogs about it beforehand like Hancock's did or something similar. And yes, it would be hilarious if Shiryuu was voiced by one of the guys who did M.Bison.
This episode was pretty funny, i wasn't a big fan of buggy until impel down so i'm glad that he's finally made his appearance. I think i can say i actually like Hannaybal's voice now that i've heard a little more from him. I'm really looking forward to next weeks episode, the art and animation look interesting.

I had the same sentiments as well. I actually enjoyed the episode but they elongated certain parts or added filler to stuff that I just wish they didn't fill. The only filler I liked were the Buggy getting chased sequences. But that might largely be because he is such a fun character to watch in motion compared to a lot of other characters. The other issue (of course) is they used 3/4ths of a chapter for this episode since they used the other 1/4th last episode. Next episode should be good, and because of the lightning fast pace the impel down chapters were starting from here on out, the rest should be paced fairly well even at 1 chapter = 1 episode. In fact pacing shouldn't be an issue till after impel down really.
It's just so good to see Buggy again.
