Was kind of debating whether I should bump this thread or make a new one, but because I only really have this one to share and don't know how active it'll become again, I'll just bump this for the time being.
So in the dream I had last night, me and a couple people I know from my college classes were at some historic campground or something for a school trip. It wasn't a campground in the sense that you camp there but that people camped there in the past and now it's a tourist attraction. There were 3 tents/teepees on the campground, each with a little sign next to them to explain stuff. There was at least one person that died in each of the tents, and apparently still bones in at least one of them that I looked through. I remember one having a working computer in it too, oddly enough. Anyway, me and the other guys are sitting in a makeshift classroom, talking about stuff, and the teacher (the person responsible for the trip was a teacher I know from my high school, even though the 2 other students there I know from college) says that we're going to have to write a 75 page essay on this place and what we learn about here. I question this, saying it's much more than I've ever written in college, and he looks bewildered at this. But anyway he starts explaining how the paper should be structured, and I'm like fine.
So I go back out to the campground, and the middle tent is the one I went to earlier in the dream. This time I go to the far right one and either read the sign outside the tent or read a pamphlet that I picked up somewhere. It says "No-men are creatures believed to be able to exactly copy another organism in any temperature". No idea why temperature was mentioned there. That's all I read and then the other students there and the teacher I mention earlier come up. The teacher says that we're going to be required to write a 4 page essay over what we learn at this place. At this point I seem to wake up, but I can't move, and anytime I try to scream all that comes out is a whimper. I've had sleep paralysis before and it sucked, so I'm like fuck that, and managed to grab my alarm from behind me on my headboard. I initially set the alarm to go off in 1 minute but see that there's an alarm button that immediately sets the alarm off. When I press it the alarm sounds (though it sounds faint) and I wake up for real. I don't know if that would be considered actual sleep paralysis or not but I'm glad I was able to wake up before anything scary showed up while I couldn't move.
Anyway, what I got out of it was that the teacher was originally taken over by a no-man. I've been reading about skinwalkers and shapeshifters and stuff a lot recently so that's probably what caused that. Was still kind of shaky after I woke up, which was a few hours earlier than I usually do. I thought about trying to go back to sleep but decided against it.
