I don't think Oda made these fillers, well at least not completely…it is canon filler afterall. Toei just had to fill up time with some story that wasn't in the manga so they added on to what was written.
I kinda enjoyed this episode for the most part, both Nami and Franky's stories were hysterical. It was just REALLY creepy seeing Luffy all lovey dovey (even though it was just a fantasy). I'm probably going to get hit with angry fans for saying that but...(shivers) Luffy isn't Tamaki and Hancock isn't Haruhi (please excuse my obligatory Ouran reference lolz).

That was the point! Luffy's behavior was SUPPOSED to be creepy for the viewers, because it is funny how the usually stern Hancock is thinking like a high school girl with a one-sided love. Just be GLAD that Bisho-Luffy wasn't a reality because then the crap will hit the fan.

You know what, Vegapunk's old lab showing up is proof enough that Oda is, at the very least, really close with the anime staff (as if we still need one, the man is producing an effin movie with them).
Since Franky's cover finished on chapter 549 (that was, what, only two months ago?), it's pretty clear that they get info in advance.

Besides, how many times already Oda said he had to cut something "for time restraints", like Lucci's flashback. No wonder some of his discarded ideas end up being explored in the anime.

Franky's, though it seemed way shorter was far more enjoyable and interesting than Nami's

yeeeah! finally!! ^^'' i loved to see nami and franky again although frankys story was kinda weird .. the dance didn't look good .. and i am surprised that they changed franky as well .. .. he's a gentleman now, even if it's just coz of the tea … so he somehow got a big character change like sanji and usopp .. only temporary of course

i wonder how they'll handle the stories of the other mugiwaras. ^.^

That was my reaction aswell. But in a way it would make sense that Oda would have wanted to include this in the manga (but didn't have time/room) because it is somewhat similar in idea to what happened to some other SHs.

Luffy's dream at the beginning was really well animated! The animation-style keeps getting better all the time. :3 And the bishie!Luffy was so greeepyyyyyy~! X'D Nami's and Franky's parts were great too (especially Franky turning into a gentleman 8''D), I can't wait to see the next fillers! ____

man i loved the episode, haven't laughed for an episdoe like that in a long time. probably because it was all unexpected stuff and not manga already seen stufff.

hancocks day dreaming was too damn funny

the old man cracked me up with his hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey ect, and really curious in what his technique was that he made that bubble around himself to keep the wind off. guess nami won't be diving away from her thunderbolts and stuff now if she can do that.

oh my god was franky hilarious. i cracked up how the guy, kid and dog follow his actions always. and gentleman franky si too funny. Damnit i hate how these are just teases. I want to keep watching their stories. who cares about impel down, we can get to that later. or i have the manga for that, i'm more curious for these stories right now. next week is gonna be a bit boring though i'm guessing. sanji and choppers didn't look that interesting. or well mainly sanji i guess looks the gayest.(ha) choppers could be somewaht interesting, but hard to tell what sanji is doing besides running and making jabs at him for humor. so thats why not too interested.

though who knows, i'm sure we'll be hinted a powerup somehow. hell look at nami's we didn't know about that forcefield thing to keep wind off until just now. maybe we'll see something for sanji during the tranny adventures.

Wow. This was a funny episode. I mean from the start I was laughing (Well after the whole dream thing with Luffy). I mean it really took me a while to figure out if Hancock was daydreaming or not. THen I saw Luffy's reaction and guess that it was proof enough.

I just love how Franky knows how to disco. Awesome. I always wonder but not this confrims. haha I found it funny that the guys that found him were so willing to do it as well. Way to go. Disco on Franky. Disco on.

I hope its canon. I really liked this episode. Sure, the animation quality was not the best but it was seriously funny and the music/sound effects were excellent.

If the anime explores all the strawhats and other mini stories (such as the CP9 cover story) in more depth than the manga I think it will be a really good move (especially since it will let the manga get a little further ahead of the anime). If this is just filler, then we will all be wondering why nami isn't using her crazy new wind knot combined with clima tact abilities once the strawhats get back together (I don't know about you, but I hate it when filler tries to make up new abilities and personality quirks for oda's characters).

I want to see more of weatheria and find out what is inside vegapunks building. I don't want to see this in the manga tho, becuase that would slow down the main storyline too much (for my liking).

This shojo-style Luffy was great and the stories of Nami and Franky are cool.

just saw them and i loved it.

the shojo style luffy made me laugh.

nami's new attack looks really impressive. i mean she only saw the wind knot used once and already she developed a new attack with it. that shows how resourceful she is.

In the Anime, they show it clearly(more then less)
thats why, i asked if the fillers are from oda, cause they can provide different kinds auf power ups(animer filler) and then the real power ups would appear in the manga

cause the coverstory from franky, was a lil bit different than the anime

Um, so I guess the first thing that came to mind was, ''Wow, the cast list is a bit longer than I thought it would be.''

Anyway, the daydream was pretty funny yet obviously creepy at the same time. Guess it couldn't be done any other way. Though the squealing that immediately followed made me want to punch out my monitor. I hate it when characters do that.

So, about the meat and potatoes of this episode, it looks like Kuma was nice enough to send Nami's Clima-Tact with her, and it's a good thing he did, since Cyclone Burst was pretty cool-looking, clearing the sky and all. I wish I had that old guy's washer/dryer machine combo. It would make doing laundry a breeze.

Unsurprisingly, Nami's story got more attention, so Franky's side was a bit disappointing. Not all that much happened, and he got the artistic shaft. The dance sequence was rather weak, and what was up with all of those crotch shots? Oh well, it's Franky. His story's old man was voiced by the same guy who's doing Roshi in Dragon Ball Kai.

There were at least three new pieces of music, which is good; the jazzy elevator music for the daydream, Franky's dance, and I think the piece played during Cyclone Burst was new too. The series could always use brand new music. I wonder if they've already started dipping into the Movie 10 vault.

EDIT: After studying the cast list, it appears that the wizard's name is Harudasu or something similar.

this epsiode was really good i saw it thru Funimation site but i like it.

the nightmare luffy has at first was awesome and beautifully animated man i feel really sad of luffy losing his friends.

the whole daydream thing with hancock was just funny as heck and that face luffy makes wow never knew hancock read romantic comics or something.

oh and the Squelling hancock makes well its just natural its normal that she squalls she is infront of her soulmate or at least what hancock imagines it to be, all i am saying its normal for girls to squell, plus i thought it was adorable the way she did it.

also love the franky dance man it felt like a workout you know like those excerising videos and such awesome and funny as heck that franky would do it in the snow.

also the gentlemen Franky was awesome i don't know why just awesome how they didn't had soda but had Tea and changed franky completey wow.

also Nami's segment was really good at least we get to see more where she is and the wind knot techinque she did was awesome and another thing i find it fitting she is where she is at because it suits nami's abilites really well.

anyways great epsiode and next week is chopper's cover story which is ironic since he will be food if he is not careful, and sanji will have a massive wakeup call poor sanji hahahahaha.

also the daydream from the manga will be in the next epsiode as well.
