If such a thread already exists I apologize. I have no intention to make a double post.
We all want to get our minds off of the 4 week break, so here's something to think about. What IF One piece got so big and Eichiro Oda Sensei was able to establish a Marvel Universe like company. Oda having full control over the franchise he then hires other writers to publish individual mangas for One Piece characters.
( I honestly think that One Piece characters have more depth than some marvel characters with their own comics.)
The parent manga which is One Piece will bring forth children mangas that will hold the stories of other interesting characters in One Piece. But the children mangas will not necessarily have the same tone as One piece. The children mangas must still follow the One Piece Plot everytime it has a crossover with an One Piece existing character.
Here's an idea: (Let me just name two )
Laffitte - He lived in West Blue and he was a policeman, but he was exiled because he was excessively cruel and violent. [He can have a manga that is pretty dark and violent. (Something like Jackals)]
Coby - We all know Coby no need to explain. ( He can have a manga with the same tone as One Piece but it focuses on his climb up the marine ranks. It will show interesting events like his interactions with garp and possibly some pirates that he has captured)
Many other's have great potential for their very own manga.
e.g (Red Leg zeff, Eneru, Moria, even Pandaman ( Marvel has howard the duck)
Which characters would you like to see with their own manga? What would it be like?
