hi, does anyone know what happened to the adult section where only limited number of forumers can go in (18+) and post adult doujinshi, pics, vids, etc of one piece? i wonder what happened to it, it just occured to me but i think that was a long time ago?

age verification is always a problem in this one, since people lie all the time. so there won't be an adult section until we (or zero and RB) figured out how to do credit card verification for everyone who wants to join the adult section. =P

I had the horrible suspicion that it was really just a playground for yaoi fangirls so I never even dared set foot in it. :P
I figure if there is demand and there is a reasonable way to keep the little kiddies out then there is no reason not to have it.

actually, if you want age verification, even credit cards aren't all set, heck I've got a credit card, but I'm only 17.
One system we could work out is just send us some money over paypal or something(this requires a credit card) and when we confirm it, we set you into an adult member and then send the money back to you.
Not that this would ever happen because there's no adult section and probably won't be one.

Eh, well. Credit Cards just seem to make it amazingly complicated… and besides, as you say, you can have a credit card and still be under eighteen.
I doubt it really matters, about the whole age rating. I mean, someone's always going to find a way around it, all they need to do is change their date of birth, and so on.
Me? - I'd think it would be great. But, I don't know.. I guess if we just put it down to a general vote, the results would probably just reach the outcome of "Yes, we want it."
Who knows.

Well for starters, there really wasn't much yaoi in the old one as I recall, and what stuff there was was clearly labelled you could bypass it easily enough if you wanted. I also seem to recall the forum not having much activity most of the time; I think people ran out of things to post. Not necessarily against it coming back, the old one was fun when people were in there, but I really haven't missed it terribly much, either.

I can see potential merits, but also far more potential abuse. If we could link to adult material with appropriate disclaimers in the main forum, it would avoid the need for two parallel discussions (the dojinshi thread and the ADULT dojinshi thread) which would mire both down.

I'm not for it because there would most likely be those that would lie about their age (wanderer zero's method seems too complicated). My 2 cents, even though I wouldn't be old enough to go there.

The paypal system and credit card systems look to complicated…What if you're 18 and don't have a credit card and want to view the forums?
Maybe we could post pics of ourselves so the admins can verify our age. -
pictures can be deceiving. i know people at 16 who look so mature when compared to people at 21 who look like they are 14

there's plenty of adult forums. and hongfire has a helluva lot of adult pics that all the pre-pubescant Zatch fans are secretly downloading. this site doesn't have to be a swiss army knife of forums, not having the tweezers is fine cause they never worked that well anyways.
