hey guys
we have a stupid roomate here who is leaving for weeks on end, and leaving his iguana unattended. we know nothing about iguanas.
anyone know what we could be feeding it. We've been reading online about fruit and veggies and stuff, but the owner actually had some kinda worm (was it a worm?)
It would just be nice to talk to someone who actually owns one, or knows what the hell they are talking about.
We had an iguana for several years a while back. Interesting guy.
They need vegetables. Sometimes you can give them a few mealworms as a protein supplement, but it's not a main dietary part by far.
They also benefit from full-spectrum lighting, since in Ontario, you're probably not getting the same sun as in the tropics.
They like a cage with vertical height– different levels to climb at.
thanks bounty. that helps me a lot. I was gonna go buy some of those mealworms tomorrow. we'll make sure not to give him too much. and apparently there is a lamp set up for the little guy, so he's getting his heat/light
