I have to say, the quality is nice. I've seen much worse episodes. Next Weeks Gear 2nd looks nice too.

More than nice. Nakatani is definitely one of my favorites now along with Tate. The pacing wasn't so good, but when it finally got to the action, I was really impressed. Can't wait to watch it in better quality.

the crowd looked shitty. Just about everything else looked great. Marigold and Sandersonia were looking exceptionally sweet!
Boa Hancock fainting and the luffy's haki moment were also well done.
And it's always nice to hear overtaken played

Nice episode. And they made the link here that Sentoumaru used haki, which wasn't in the manga (I think). Main gripe.. why do they draw Boa's forehead so large all the time??

Not loving this arc too much kinda boring!
Love Luffy and that but this arc has made me realise how much i miss the rest of the crew! And its a shame because except for the brief flashes we will get in a couple of episodes time we wont see them all bck together for atleast another 20/30 episodes!
Maybe even longer! :(

Episode was kinda in the slow side.. but had neat animation and art, as expected from Nakatani.
Haki lovers will have fangasms over Luffy's burst. -

Whee, very briefly skimmed the first half. Pretty awesome fighting, really. It looks like they extended some of Sandersonia's dialogue, it looks like. Should be fun to watch in full HQ, and next week looks pretty spiffy as well. Let's see if they can extend a curbstomping out to twenty minutes…

I usually don't complain about episodes, but this really got to me. The long spans of the motionless crowd with their mouths open, as only one person move their mouth when they talked. This is probably the epitome of weaksauce and lack of effort. And the episode consisted mostly of these panning long scenes with no animation at all. They were literally just panning a picture they threw together.
And the fighting was much shorter than I had hoped, so that was an even bigger disappointment

fight scenes are awesome>they took all from the manga & adding some awesome clips & OP always have action in 1 episode,unlike other anime,that the fucking whole episode have pointless conversations & other anime have 6 pages of the manga,that can make a whole fucking episode also with pointless conversations -
How long are they going to only do one chapter per episode? When it gets to Impel Down will it speed up again to a few chapters an episode?

This "one chapter = one episode" thing is starting to get old, now… It was one thing during Shabaody, but Amazon Lily was enough of a pain to read at that pace. To have it stretched into half hour chunks?! That's just sadistic...

Surprisingly not so many reply's this week. Anyway, cool ep., even know there was plenty of talking at the beginning. Wish there was more action. Also, the Haki part was nicely done!

This was a rather dull episodes. Everything went by waaay too slow, espescially the 5-6 first minutes. The animation was fine, but there wasn't really too much movement in the episode that needed top animation. The art was mostly fine, except for all of the amazons. The wind-blowing thing that came with Luffys Haki-outburst was a bit exaggeratet, and goddamnit, I can't express how much I hate the orange-haired, laughing girl, who's always smiling with her mouth wide open. I want to cry everytime I see her. I want to die every time she speaks. Bleh.

That reminds me of that time in Loguetown with Dragon. But yeah, this was a very sluggish episode. I thought that transition from Luffy preparing a bazooka then going into gatling was a bit odd. Oh and that part after Luffy used the haki burst, with the glowing background and his arms kinda flexed, made him look like he was going super saiyan. :happy:

Well if they carry on with this "one chapter = one episode" thing, the manga is 33 chapters ahead from the current anime's position! And the point the manga is at it i dont see the crew showing up anytime soon as the spotlight is on whitebeard vs the marines!
So 20/30 episodes before the crew are fully reunited does'nt seem a bad estimation imo!

I'm downloading the episode right now. I haven't been watching this arc since I didn't really enjoy it when I read it, but I'm gonna give it a try.
