The story of the never ending sea-friendship, love, loyalty, justice

Introduction:

This is a One Piece fan fic that I've started working on (my first fan fic). It combines my ideas for the actual storyline, well mainly for my favorite arc (CP9 arc). Well about the title… this is the best I came up with... I hope you all enjoy it! And take it easy on my English, it's not my mother language.

CHAPTER 1: The disappearance

! Our story starts in the beautiful city of Water 7, the city known for its shipwrights. Well to be exact we are starting in The Galley-La Company. The best shipwrighting company, with the mayor of Water 7 as the president of the Galley-La company.
! The workers are working hard as usual, until the clock shows 12:00-lunch time. At that time of the day the doors of The Galley-La Company closed for about an hour, and the bar was filled with happy workers.
Usually only several people remain in the company, Caty, the architect; Eva, the map drawer and Iceburg, the president of Galley-La company.
! Eva was sitting at her table, writing a letter, when suddenly Caty opened the door. At the creak of the door Eva put a map over her letter, got up of her chair and asked with an angry voice: »Don't you know how to knock?«
But Caty simply ignored her and went to the table, put away the map and took the letter: »Love, love, love…«
Caty slowly opened the letter and started reading: »Dear...«
But Eva quickly took the letter and put it in her pocket: »Can't you leave that. And I'm not in love! I'm just writing to a friend. Why did you even come here?«
Caty started laughing: »Yeah, right... friend.«
Eva gave her a mean look: »You don't understand anything!«
»I understand that when that stupid pigeon is flying around here, you get a love letter from a crazy guy that makes his white pigeon wear a tie.«
»How did you see the pigeon?«
»I have eyes. And I can see that you are working less since that flying rat appeared. But don't worry, I won't tell Iceburg,« Caty put her hand on Eva's shoulder. Eva kept a calm mind and didn't say anything. Caty walked toward the door:
»Oh, and Iceburg is gonna get a visit from the World Government. I want you to be there as well, he could use some help.«
»Because I have contacts with the Marines?« asked Eva.
»Yes. Didn't you have any contacts with the Government's Agents?«
»Barely. Only once. But, don't worry I'll be there.«
! Caty left the room and as soon as she closed the door she started running toward her room, thinking about the whole Government Agent thing: »They are here because of me! I need to get away as soon as possible, or they'll all be in danger.«
! Eva put her letter in an envelope and left the room.
! Caty quickly opened her wardrobe and took some of her clothes, her money and put it in her black suitcase. Then she took her books and some of her ship plans. She slowed down at the moment when she took a photo in her hand: »I know you would do the same thing.« With those words she put the photo in her pocket and left.
! In the meantime, Eva was slowly walking down the hall towards Iceburgs office. She was thinking about every single word that Caty had said: »She won't tell Iceburg, but still she saw Hattori... and why did she send me to Iceburg?«
! When she came to the end of the hall, there was a man dressed in a black suit, with a black hat standing before Iceburgs office. The man was clearly an Agent of the World Govenment, which you could tell by the symbol on his jacket. He gave a surprised look at Eva, when she came and asked:
! »Isn't your boss here?«
»What do you mean?«
»He isn't in his office. Where is he? I need to talk to him.«
»That's strange. Well it is lunch time... but if you want, I can leave a message for him.«
»Didn't you hear me you stupid woman?! I need to talk to him and if you can't see my jacket, it has a symbol...«
»A symbol of the World Government. I'm well aware of that. So what do such important people as the World Government want with Iceburg-san?«
»You may be aware of the symbol, but I think you don't understand that this is between the Governments and Iceburg. You, his workers, should keep away.«
»Interesting... I really don't know why they sent you here. Best of luck finding him.«
! Eva turned around and left. The Agent was looking at her until she had disappeared at the end of the hall. When he was sure that she was gone, he started the search for Iceburg. He was walking around the company for a few minutes, then he found Iceburg talking to a man. When Iceburg saw the Agent, he said with an ignorant voice:
! »What do you want?! Get out of here!«
»Listen Iceburg, if you...«
»Just get out of here! We have already discussed this.«
! Eva was looking at the conflict from the entrance of the company. When Iceburg saw her, he shouted: »Eva! Show this man to the exit!«
! The Agent was shocked by the way Iceburg treated him. Eva stepped toward to the Agent and grabbed his arm, but he disengaged himself from her and pushed her aside. He didn't say anything while he was leaving. Iceburg returned to his friend, and didn't even want to listen to Eva's questions. With Iceburg ignoring her, she went after the Agent.
She followed him to the harbor, where there was a big ship of the World Government. The Agent stopped when Eva shouted out: »Wait!«
»What do you want?!«
»I want to know your reason of being here.«
»Don't you get it?! I won't tell you!«
»What if I know?«
»What?!«
»Maybe I know that piece of information that you want from Iceburg.«
»It doesn't matter. I'll probably come again after some time. The only thing that you can do is, that you convince your boss to listen to us, and to do the right thing.«
! With those words the Agent went to his ship and Eva returned to the company.
When she returned all the workers were running around, searching for something or someone. She stopped Paulie when he passed by: »What's going on here?!«
»Caty is gone. Her room is empty.«
»What?!«
»We don't know what happened, but I don't think she would leave without telling.«
! Eva was shocked by the news that Caty left, so she went to Iceburg to see if he knows anything about this.
She knocked on the door and entered the room. She found Iceburg sitting at his desk, looking out the window.
»I'm sorry to bother you Sir, but Caty just left. I don't understand.«
»Just forget all of this.«
»I can't! She is my friend. And there must be something wrong. Why would she just leave like this?!«
»Calm down! It doesn't have any sense searching. She left with the Sea Train.«
»What? What do you know?«
»I just know that she won't come back. There is no use of searching for her. She is no longer in Water 7.«
»That idiot! She is an important part of the company! We all have problems but we don't leave! We know that we are an important part of the company, every single one of us!«
»I have already told the others to stop this useless searching. In about tree days, we are getting two new workers.«
»Is that why she left?! Did you fire her because of this two new guys?!«
»I didn't.«
»Is it because she wasn't good enough, because she was a woman?! Are you gonna do the same thing to me?«
»I have never and I will never do something like that.«
! Eva was feeling strange, sad, angry, disappointed; she didn't know how to explain those feelings. She left and slammed the door. Iceburg knew that it was hard for her, but he decided to leave her alone. So Eva remained in her room, thinking about the reasons why Caty would have left the company. Did she leave the company because she wanted to leave it, or was she fired. She was thinking about all of this for a day. She didn't leave the room for any reason. Paulie and the others were a bit worried about her health, so they came from time to time knocking on her door, trying to convince her to come out or at least eat something. But she didn't listen to them, until one evening, when Paulie decided to make one last try.
! »Come on! At least eat something!«
»I don't need to!«
»You are a human, aren't you? You must eat!«
»I was by the Marines, I can handle hunger.«
»Why don't you except the fact that Caty left us?!«
»How can you be so cold?!«
»Sitting in your room won't bring her back.«
! At that moment Eva got out of her bed and opened the door.
! »You are right. But don't expect me to smile or something like that.«
»You should forget about her, like she forgot us.«
»That may be easy for you guys, but it is hard for me!«
»We didn't forget her, and we miss her too, but we accepted the fact that she left.«
! The next day you could find all of the workers sitting in a bar, laughing, drinking and having fun. It was like Caty was forgotten, by everyone. But every single one of them, deeply in their heart wished that she would return.

CHAPTER 2: Wanted

! A day later all of the workers got up early and they were talking about the new workers all the time. Pauly was boasting about his task-picking the new guys at the blue station and bringing them to the company. Today the company was closed, since a big party was planned. But the party was not only for the workers also some of the citizens were planning on coming to the party. The whole Water 7 was talking about it, since Iceburg was their mayor, and that also made The Galley-La Company famous and beloved with the citizens.
! Eva came in to Iceburgs office, still a bit mad at him, to wait for the new workers:
! »Are you sure that Paulie can handle the situation?«
»I think he can.«
! At that moment Paulie came in the office and closed the door: »They are waiting outside.«
Eva found that rude, so she asked: »Do you still think he's gonna handle it?«
! Paulie didn't want to be offended so he started defending himself:
! »What did I do wrong this time?! Nothing is good enough for you!«
! Iceburg usually lets them argue and lets them solve their problem themselves, but this time he stopped the argue: »Stop it you two!«
! At that moment, Eva and Pulie stopped arguing and they just stared at one and other. She gave Paulie a cold look and went to open the door.
When she opened the door she saw two men, one with a cap and a squared nose like Pinocio, and one with curly, dark hair and with a white pigeon on his right shoulder. They gave her a big smile: »Hello.«
! At that moment Eva fell to the ground, and while on the floor she slowly started to creep back. Paulie knelt down to her: »Whats wrong? Eva?!«
! Iceburg was shocked. He didn't know what was going on: »What's with you?«
! She couldn't say anything, she was so scared of something that she could hardly breath.
! The man with the pigeon made some steps and knelt down to Eva. He looked at her and then he put his hand on her chest, so that he could feel her pulse:
! »She's just in a shock. She should be fine soon.«
Paulie pulled him away from Eva and said with a mean voice: »Why wouldn't she be? She seas a strange guy who is using ventriloquism! Talking pigeon…«
! At that time Eva grabbed Paulie's hand and started bagging him to let the pigeon guy go. She seemed even more scared then before. Paulie let go of the new guy and stood up. Iceburg ordered him to take Eva to her room, while he's gonna have a talk to the new guys. When Eva and Paulie passed by the other guy he said with a friendly voice: »I'm sure we'll get along well.«
! When Paulie and Eva left Iceburg firstly apologized for what had happened: »I'm very sorry. I don't know what has gotten into her.«
But they didn't mind, they acted like nothing strange had happened. The pigeon guy gave a smile and said: »I hope there isn't any problem with me being a ventriloquist... talking via my pet pigeon Hattori. That's the only way I can speak.«
! »Don't worry there is no problem with that. So you must be Rob Lucci,« said Iceburg and looked at Lucci. Lucci nodded.
»And you must be Kaku...« Iceburg looked at the squared nose guy next to Lucci.
! Meanwhile, Paulie was guiding Eva to her room, when she all out of nothing pushed him away: »I'm fine. I can walk by myself.«
»Are you sure? You almost fainted.«
»I'm fine. It was just a shock, like he said.«
»I know that you don't see talking pigeons with a tie every day, but I think you offended the guy. You should apologize.«
»I will... but I need to be alone with him. I don't want any of you to be there too. This is between us two.«
»No problem. But don't expect that chance on today's welcome party.«
»I won't be there anyway.«
»What?«
»I have work.«
»You can't work on such an important day! Maybe you could come later.«
»Maybe. I'm going out, if someone needs me I'll be in the bar.«
»Fine.«
! Soon the party has started, but Eva was still in the bar, sitting at the table thinking about the whole thing. She had a bad feeling about the whole situation. She slowly lifted her head and looked at the clock, it was 20:00. She payed the bill and went to the company, where there were many people. When Paulie saw her he started waving at her, showing her to come over. At the table was Paulie, Kaku and Lucci. She was looking at them, waiting for someone to start the conversation. Paulie grabbed his pint of beer and said: »Come, have a drink! Hey, can someone get some more wine and beer?!« Before anyone of the workers could answer Eva said: »I'll get it.« She slowly passed the table and went to the entrance of the company. She was walking slowly when Lucci asked: »Do you need any help?« Eva looked at the talking pigeon that was sitting on his shoulder and smiled: »Sure.«
! Eva was walking quickly through the halls in the company to the kitchen, ignoring if the new guy could follow her. When she came to the kitchen she turned on the lights and took some bottles of wine and beer from the cupboard. She was looking at the bottle of wine when Lucci came in. She didn't say anything and she kept her eyes on the bottle, which she had placed on the table. Lucci made some steps forward. At that point Eva went some steps away from him, to the window and asked: »What are you doing here?« Lucci started laughing at her:
»What? You know, that is not the thing I wanted to hear. I expected something nicer.«
! Eva turned around and gave Lucci a serious look and asked again: »What are you doing here?«
Lucci stopped smiling and made a serious face:
! »I'm on a mission, just like you.«
»I can handle thing by myself here!«
! Eva grabbed the bottle of wine and went to the door. As she was passing by Lucci he grabbed her right hand:
! »Then tell me what were you doing these past 2 years!«
! Eva remained quiet and she didn't move, neither did she disengage herself from him.
! »You don't know anything about the plans! « said Lucci while taking the bottle from her hand.
»I can't just go to Iceburg and ask him about it. He could unmask us,« said Eva with a scared voice.
»You had a nice chance when the Agent came here. So do you mind telling me what you have been doing the past two years?«
»I was looking for the plans.«
»I can't understand why you are so shocked about our arrival than.«
»What are you going to do to them?« she asked with a frightened voice.
Lucci slowly moved his hand to her wrist. At the move of his hand she looked at her wrist. She didn't like what he was doing so she tried to disenged herself, but he immediately squeezed her hand.
! »This won't hurt.«
»What are you doing?«
»What would you do, if would tell you, that I'll give Iceburg 5 months to hand over the plans?«
»What? You can't...«
»And then I would go to his office to get the plans. And then when I would get the plans...«
! Lucci came up to her ear and whispered: »... I would kill him, and every single one of the workers that would oppose me.«
! She was terrified by his words, she didn't know what to say.
! »I can see that you are not too happy about it.«
»Let's get back to the others before...«
»I haven't finished yet. I'll tell you the truth. I'm not gonna kill them... We have time, sooner or later we'll find the plans and leave.«
»Fine. Would you mind letting go of my wrist, you're hurting me!«
! Lucci let go of her hand.
! »You know that I don't want to hurt you. Or have you forgotten about me in the past 2 years? Now that you have Iceburg and all the other workers?«
»I...«
»Don't say anything your blood pressure told me everything... you like them, you want to protect them, you want them to be safe! You would have probably never returned!«
»No, that's not true!«
! She claps in his arms and started explaining the relationship between them.
But Lucci remained cold.
! »I didn't do anything. You must believe me.«
! She continued to hug him and when she looked at him with her sparkly eyes that were full of tears, he said: »You can't trust them. We are your only friends, your family.«
»Family?«
»Yes, your so called friends are criminals!«
»Criminals...«
»I don't want them to hurt you, like your old friend did. We don't need to kill them.«
»Thank you...«
»I can only keep this promise if our secret remains unknown to them. If they would discover our true identity, we would have to kill them all. So make sure you act like nothing happened.«
»I will.«
! It was midnight and the party still hasn't ended. People were still dancing, drinking and eating. When Eva noticed the time, she decided to leave. Paulie wasn't to happy with that:
! »What? You can't just leave!Don't be rude!«
»You're the one who's rude! I can leave whenever I want! And nobody will probably notice because they are too drunk even to stand right!« shouted Eva. At that point Iceburg came over:
»Paulie the party should end soon, tomorrow is going to be a hardworking day. So let her go.«
! Eva gave a grateful smile to Iceburg and left. When she passed the table where Lucci and Kaku were sitting, she started walking slowly.
»Already leaving?« asked Kaku when he saw her passing by.
»Yes. We have a lot of work tomorrow. See ya!« with that she left the company.
! She was slowly walking down the quiet streets, thinking about all the things that Lucci had said to her.
! »No more games Eva, now things got serious.« she said to herself. She got to house that was at the center of the city.
! When she was unlocking the door, she heard a strange voice coming from the dark street. Then she noticed a small cat, that came out of the darkness. She knelt down and stroked the cat, which started purring.
! »Don't make me sick,« said a voice behind her.
! Suddenly the cat got scared and it scratched Eva's hand. Ignoring the scratch she pulled a knife out of her bag and turned around. When she brandished with her knife someone grabbed her hand:
! »What? Where is he? He was just behind me. There must be more of them.«
»Why so serious? We're just playing around,« said a friendly voice.
! Eva looked at the person standing behind her, still holding her hand: »Blueno, you're here too?«
»You see, if you're not nervous thinks are much easier,« said Kaku when he jumped off the roof. »Why did you follow me?« asked Eva.
»Let's say I was interested in where you live,« said Lucci, when he made some steps towards Eva.
»So are there anymore surprises?« asked Eva with a harsh voice. Lucci just gave a look to Kaku and Blueno, and before you noticed Blueno disappear in mid air, and Kaku jumped so high that you could say he's flying. And he ran off, jumping from one roof to another. Lucci looked at the knife which Eva was still squeezing in her hand and said:
! »Why don't we put that aside.«
! She didn't say anything, she silently put the knife back in her bag.
! »Will you show me your house?« asked Lucci with a friendly voice
! She remained quiet when she opened the door of her house. She showed him around the house and the only things she said was: »This is the kitchen, the livingroom...« etc.
! When she showed all the places of the house, she came back to the entrance where she was waiting for Lucci to leave.
! »Why are you so quiet?« asked Lucci, but he didn't get an answer.
»You know you can tell me anything,« he slowly moved his hand through her hair.
»I don't understand anything...« whispered Eva with a depressed voice.
! He made a surprised face and waited for her to continue.
! »So many strange things happened. I'm getting the feeling that all of this is connected,« continued Eva.
»Aren't you happy that we are together again after 2 years?« asked Lucci with an angry voice.
»I am happy, but.. Some days ago a friend of mine just disappeared,«
»You're talking about Caty, aren't you?«
»How did you...« tears started raining down her cheeks when she turned around and hugged Lucci:
»Tell me you don't have anything to do with this! Tell me you didn't do anything to her!«
! Lucci took a deep breath and said: »I didn't but I think it's best for you that you find out everything now.«
! She made a surprised face and asked: »What do you mean?«
Lucci didn't say anything, he took her to the living room where they took a seat on the sofa.
! »This will probably explain everything,« he took a piece of paper out of his pocket and gave it to Eva.
! »W-Wanted?« she read the big sign on the paper.
»50 000 000 beli. Why?« she asked with a sad voice.
»She can read the Poneglyphs.«
»Poneglyphs...« she crumpled the piece of paper with Caty's photo.
»That's why she left.«
»Why didn't she tell me? We were good friends.«
»Friends?«
»Iceburg knew this and none told me.«
»They probably don't trust you.«
»Are you here because of her?«
»Not really. The plans are more important... and since we don't know where she is, we can't do anything about it.«
»What will you do when you find her?«
»I'll take her to Enies Lobby. She'll help us rebuild the ancient weapon.«
»And what if she won't help the World Governments?«
»The Poneglyph readers are a threat to the World Governments, so she'll be killed.« Lucci noticed that Eva didn't like what he was saying and he also knew the reason for this.
! He took the paper from her and put it on the table:
! »Don't connect her to Rosalie.« He knew that this was her weak point, but he continued with a low voice:
»Rosalie is dead.«
»Stop torturing me like this!« screamed Eva when she covered her face with her hands. Lucci remind cold and didn't say anything.

CHAPTER 3: Rosalie

! *7 years ago
! A 18 year old girl with dark brown, curly hair ran into the kitchen and shouted: »Rosalie. Rosali! She is back!«
! A tall, slim woman with light, curly hair and blue eyes dropped the dishes and smiled:
! »Great! Come on, let's go to the harbour!«
! At the harbour there was no ship, which surprised them, but a big smile appeared on their faces when they heard a voice call their names: »Rosalie, Caty!«
»Eva you're back!« shouted Caty when she hugged Eva.
»Welcome back. How was the time at the Marines?« asked Rosalie when she placed her hand on Eva's shoulder.
»Great, but I'm really happy to be back again.«
»Come on. Let's go back home, I'm gonna prepare us something to eat,« said Rosalie and grabbed Eva's hand.
! Back home Rosalie was preparing dinner and Eva was telling her stories to Caty and Rosalie's son Peter when someone knocked on the door.
! »Who could it be?« asked Caty when she got up of her chair.
! Rosalie opened the door and there was a man dressed in black clothes with black, curly hair.
»Does Rosalie Smith live here?« he asked with a calm voice. Rosalie nodded: »Yeah, I'm Rosalie. Can I help you?«
! Later you could hear that Rosalie was arguing with the man and she ordered him to leave, which he didn't. So Eva said: »Caty stay here with Peter,« and left the living room.
! »You're from…« said Rosalie with a scared voice, when Eva interrupted the conversation:
»Now what does such a man like you want with Rosalie Smith?« The man looked at Eva and said: »And you are...« »I'm Captain Eva, from the Marines.«
! The man gave a mean look and said with an arrogant voice: »Why don't you Marines go and hunt down pirates! That's what you do the best, well at least so you think so.«
! He had just finished the sentence when there was already a gun pointed at him and Eva shouted: »Watch your mouth!«
! The man just smiled and left.
»Idiot,« said Eva when she locked the door.
»You shouldn't have done that!« said Rosalie and took the gun from Eva. »You'll thank me one day for this, you'll see...« said Eva and went to the kitchen.
! After dinner Caty took Peter to bed and Eva and Rosalie stayed in the kitchen.
! »So do you know what he wanted?« asked Eva.
»I think it's a bit too late for such things now. You've already done enough!«
»If you want me to help you, I must know why I'm protecting you!«
»If you don't know that, why did you point a gun at that guy?«
! Eva didn't know what to say, so she remained quiet. Then all of a sudden someone knocked on the door. At the sound of the knock Eva got up, but Rosalie said: »It's enough,« and went to get the door.
! Rosalie passed by Caty that came to the kitchen.
! »She just wants to protect you,« said Caty with a friendly voice. Eva gave her a smile, but she stopped smiling when she heard Rosalie shouting: »Get out of here! Get...«
»Rosalie!« shouted Eva when she took her gun and went to the door. Caty followed her but Eva tould her to get Peter and get away as quick as possible.
! When Eva was walking down the hall she was getting prepared for a fight when suddenly she saw Rosalie running towards her screaming:
! »Get back! Get out of here now! Quick!«
»What? You...« said Eva when she saw the man from before standing at the door.
»I can't find Peter!« shouted Caty from the room. When Eva noticed that the man was laughin, she pointed her gun at his head:
»What did you do to him?« But as soon as she had pointed the gun he grabbed her hand and threw her aside.
! He went looking for Rosalie. Firstly he went to the kitchen, thinking that he'll surely find her there. But he didn't find Rosalie, he found Peter. He reached his hand towards the little boy, when a bullet slightly touched his arm.
! »I promise I won't miss next time.«
»You won't give up, will you?« asked the man Eva that grabbed Peter's hand.
»Eva are you alright?« asked Caty when she ran in to the kitchen.
»Yes, take Peter to Rosalie and leave!« ordered Eva and gave Peter to Caty.
»Why are you protecting them?« asked the man.
»They are my family,« replayed Eva with a calm voice.
»You are criminals!« said the man taking a step towards Eva. But as soon as he moved Eva shot at him. But he disappeared and reappeared right in front of her.
! »How? He was just there?«
! He grabbed her arm and threw her aside.
! »You're not really fighting, are you?« asked Eva when she picked herself up.
»I expected a Devil Fruit user from a Captain,« said the man and went to the door.
! He opened the door when a bullet passed by his face.
! »It would be really sad if I would loose the ability of swimming since I'm a Marine and I chase pirates on the sea.«
»I guess there's gonna be a change of plans...« he closed the door, »I'll get rid of you first.«
! Caty went to the garden, where Rosalie was, waiting for them.
! »Where's Eva?« she asked.
»She's gonna hold that guy up.«
»What?«
»You two must go. I'll stay here with her.«
»You two are idiots! Don't you know what that guy could do to you?«
»I...« Caty tried to say something, but she was interrupted by the yelling from the house, »What's that guy doing to her?«
»Eva!« shouted Rosalie and went towards the house.
»Wait!« Caty grabbed her hand, »You two must leave, now!«
! »What is this guy?« the man tread on Eva on a tender spot, which caused her anguish pain.
! Suddenly there was an explosion somewhere near the house. He moved his foot off Eva's back and went to the door.
! »Rosalie, Caty, Peter...« whispered Eva and streached out her hand for the gun, that was next to her, »I'll kill you, I'll kill you...«
! When he turned around, he saw how she was stretching out her hand in pain. Just when she was about to take the gun, he stepped on her hand:
! »You don't know when to quit, do you?«
! Eva started yelling because of the pain, which seamed to only stimulate the man to continue this torture.
! »You Marines are idiots!«
»We're... We're fighting for justice...«
! The man grabbed Eva by her neck. She whispered something, when he started suffocating her, but he didn't mind that. All out of nothing someone opened the door of the kitchen and said:
! »That's enough Eva!« The man let go of her when he saw the Marine Admiral, Aokiji Taishō.
»Let me guess, she's from your ship,« said the man and looked at Eva, who was looking back at him with a lot of fear in her eyes.

»I know...«
»You're good at your job, so why spoil it because of a stupid friend?«

»Mindy explaining me, why you're talking via Hattori?«

! Suddenly the Marines pulled out their swords.
! »What are you guys doing?«
»Your workers seam to be having some problems with pirates. No need to worry miss, we'll take care of them.«
»Put down your weapons.«
»Miss it's ok we can handle it. You don't need to worry about us.«
»I'm ordering you to put down your weapons!«
»I only take orders from the Marines, miss.«
»I am the Marines! I'm Captain Eva, from the Marine ship of Aokiji Taishō!«

! The Marines dropped their swords and started to apologize.

! Eva just came in to her office, when someone knocked on the door. She went to open them, but before she could get to the door, the door had opened. A rather slim man with strong, muscular arms and with Elvis hair entered the room.
! »Who are you?«
»You're Eva, right?«
»I don't know you. How do you know my name?«
»It says on the door.«
»Yes, but you probably knew about me before, or else you wouldn't have come here.«
»The workers down there, at the entrance, told me to come to you.«
»What?«
»I want to talke to Iceburg, but they said I must first come to you. You are his secretary, aren't you?«
»Well officially I'm a map drawer and an architect, but I'm kinda Iceburg-san's secretary too. So, yes, I am.«
»You talk a lot.«
»No need to get mean!«
»Well take me to Iceburg.«
»I can't. First you must tell me, who you are and what do you want.«
»My name is Cutty Flam, and I'm an old friend of Iceburg.«
»Ok, Cutty Flam, so you just came over to him? I'm afraid friendly talks will have to wait till the end of the day.«
»Really? I thought I could get a friend to friend chat. I just came back from a long journey.«

Cutty Flam followed her down the hall. They stopped in front of the door.
! »Wait here. I'll go in and tell him, that you have come.«
»And don't forget to tell him my full name, Cutty Flam. Not just Cutty and not just Flam.«
»Ok... you should make sure you forget what you saw.«
»Av! A threat!«
»No, a warning.«
! She knocked on the door and entered the room without waiting for Iceburg to reply to the knocking. She closed the door after she had entered the room.
! »Iceburg-san, there's a visitor for you. He's waiting in front of the office.«
»A visitor? I don't wanna see him!«
»Oh, that childish act again? I know you don't like mysterious people, but I don't know him. He wasn't in Water 7 for quite a long time, he was on a journey.«

»Eva!« shouted a worker from the other end of the hall, »Can you come down? We need some help!«
She shouted back: »Ok, I'm coming!« She gave one last look to the door of Iceburg's office and left.
! Soon came lunch time, and the company closed, so that the workers could have some free time for their meal. Eva decided to wait for Iceburg, who still hasn't come out of his office. After waiting for some minutes, Iceburg came out of his office, but Cutty Flam was nowhere to be seen.
! »Do you need anything?«
»No, Iceburg-san. I was waiting for you. What do you say we go to a restaurant?«
»Fine with me.«
»And where's your friend?«
»Oh, he already left.«
»Thats a shame, I was thinking he could join us for lunch. Well, maybe some other time then.«
»Yes, some other time.«
! When they came to the main street with lots of bars and restaurants, Eva started looking around, when she shouted out: »Iceburg-san, this looks like a new bar! Come over, let's have a look!«
»Blueno's bar...« read Iceburg from the sign at the entrance. He squint through the window, inside the bar, where he saw many people, even some of the workers. He didn't say anything for a moment, but then he started laughing.
»What's wrong?« she asked, with a surprised voice.
»I know what you're getting at.«
»Eh?«
»I know why you want to go in this bar!«
»I'm not getting at anything!«
»Now, now... This was the final proof that I needed to discover your secret.«
»You don't know anything!«
»You've been acting strange since the moment he came here.«
»You've got this all wrong.«
»No, I know exactly what's going on!«

»Iceburg-san told me.«
»Oh, is that so...« she turned herself around to Iceburg and treat on his foot, »How many times have I told you, not to tell that to other people! I promised to Kuzan-sama, that this will stay a secret!«
»I'm sorry...« apologized Iceburg, when Eva moved her high heel shoe off his foot.

»-- Thanks for the compliment. I need something to drink,« she entered the bar and without even saying anything to her workmates, she went to the diner and ordered some beer. »Beer?« the bar owner was astonished by her order.
»Yes, Blueno, I want beer! I need to cool myself.«
»Ok...«
»Thank you.«
! She started to drink the beer, when she felt how someone caressed her right hand. She put the beer down and looked to her right, where she saw Lucci.
! »You don't seam to be in a good mood,« he took a seat next to her.
»There are many mysteries of which we didn't know.«
»What are you talking about?«
»Look outside the bar, and tell me, do you know her?«
Lucci turned around and looked outsed on the street, where he saw Iceburg and Anna chatting.
»Never seen her before.«
»We don't know her, but she knows us. Iceburg told her a lot about us.«
»How do you know that?«
»She knows that I'm ex-Captain of the Marines, one of the things I don't want people to know. Oh, and Iceburg knows about us... about our relationship. Probably that Cutty Flam told him about us.«
»Who the hell's Cutty Flam?«
»The friend of our boss. He came to him today after he was away for some years.«
»Who is he?«
»A strange person, who probably knows a lot.«

»No! I just can't believe she likes it, when a pigeon tells her: I love you.«

! Hattori flew from the diner, when Paulie all out of nothing tied a rope on Lucci's right arm. As soon as Lucci let go of his glass, Paulie threw him forward, and all you could see later, was just a cloud of dust and Tileston laughing at his table:
! »I see Paulie, you're showing the new guy, how things work here. We have small fights, for our pride, so you better be ready Kaku, sooner or later you could end up as your friend.«
! Kaku didn't say anything, he was just looking a the dust between the tables, which was slowly disappearing. »I think you guys are a bit underestimating us.«
! Tileston looked up, and he couldn't believe what he saw. Lucci caught himself with his hand to avoide the attack, his fingers were dodge in the floor.
! »You just got lucky,« said Paulie, when Lucci picked himself up.
! »That's enough!« ordered Iceburg, when he entered the bar, »Now you two go to the owner, and apologize!«
! »It's ok, there's not a problem,« said Blueno from behind the diner.
»The two will come this evening to repair the damage,« said Iceburg with a friendly voice, giving Lucci and Paulie a severe look. Hattori raised one wing and said: »We'll make the floor look as it would be new.«
! In front of the bar, were Eva and Anna, who were looking through the window.
»Men... they always have to fight, to prove themselves in front of women.«
»Pualie is always the one causes trouble.«
»All of the workers are so strong! Eva-chan, are you strong too?«
»Yes. What do you say, you come to me in the evening, and we can chat in peace.«
»I would love to come to Eva-chan's home.«
»Great. Her's my address,« she gave her a piece of paper with her address written on it, »Be there at eight.«
»Ok. Oh, we are going to be such good friends!«
! Anna gave her a friendly hug.
»Friends?« said Eva to herself, when Anna hugged her. Her face seemed happy, until she looked back to the bar, where she saw Lucci, who was looking straight at her, with a cold face.
»Ok... em, I'll have to go now,« she excused herself, when she escaped Anna's hug.
! Later that day, in the evening, Eva was at home, waiting for the door bell to ring. And when it did, she ran to open the door.
! »Hi, Eva-chan!«
»Hey. Come in. I'm really sorry that we can meet at evenings, but through the day, I'm working at the company, and I don't have any time.«
»No problem. I like your living room.«
»Thanks.«
! Anna kept looking around the room, but when she noticed the photos on the wall, she ran to look at them. After looking at them for some time, she seemed annoyed.
! »Something wrong?«
»I was expecting to see a photo of you and your boy friend.«
»Lucci, well, he's...«
»How long have you know him?«
»For 7 y... 7 months.«
»Cool. So it was kinda love at the first sight.«
»Not really, more shock at the first sight.«
»What do you mean?«
»Oh, just forget it.«
Anna turned back to the photos, looking carefully at the faces on the photos: »You smile a lot on these photos.«

When the doorbell stopped ringing, the only thing you could her were Eva's footsteps, that were getting closer to the door. As soon as she opened the door, Lucci took a step forward. Before she could say anything he already closed the door.
»So, how did it go?«
As soon as he started talking, she noticed that he wasn't talking via his pigeon, so she needed to act quick to sop him, before Anna could hear him. She took a step forward, moved her hands to his face and kissed him. When their lips touched, he embrace her tightly.
! Because Eva didn't return for a long time, and there were no voices to be heard, Anna decided to go check up on her, if everything is fine.
She slowly made some steps, but she stopped as soon as she entered the hall. Her face turned red, and her voice was shaking: »Eva-chan, I'm s-sorry! I didn't know... I didn't want to...«
Eva disengaged herself from Lucci's arms and said with a surprised voice: »Anna? I... I should be sorry, you're my guest.«
»But so is he. Oh, I feels so stupid. I'm sorry for being curious.«
»Don't be sorry.«
»I think it's best for me to go. Bye.«
»Wait...«
»See you tomorrow,« Anna said and closed the door of the house, before Eva could stop her from leaving.
! »Just great! She's gone!«
»Go after her.«
»She won't come back. Thanks to you! You had to show up, didn't you?«
»Me?«
»Why did you come here?«
»I came to hear the information that you have gathered.«
»Well, thanks to you, the number of information is 1.«
»And that is?«
»She Iceburg's friend, she's been in Water 7 her whole life.«
»Are you joking with me? We all know that! What about the Cutty Flam guy?«
»I couldn't ask her, because you came and almost revealed your voice to her!« she turned around and went back to the living room, to take the photos out of their frames and back to the album. As soon as Hattori flew back on Lucci's shoulder, he followed her into the house. As he entered the living room, he found Eva at the table, with photos in her hands, how she was looking up at them.
»Removing your photos from the wall, doesn't make you forget about your past,« he said with a low voice. But she simply ignored him, and started placing the photos back on their places. As she was doing that her hands were shaking, and Lucci noticed that immediately.
»Put them aside!« he ordered.
»Soon it's gonna be over,« she whispered, »Soon, it'll all end.«
»What did you say?« he asked with a shocked voice.
»We'll find the maps, and as soon as they are in the hands of the government, I'm free.«
»Free? What are you planing?«
»I know you might not wanna hear this, but I'm gonna go back to the Marines.«
»What?« he shouted out, and Hattori flew off his shoulder. As the pigeon flew to the other side of the room, she turned around, looking at him with her sparkly eyes.
»I know you're mad, but try to understand that...«
»There's nothing for me to understand!« he took some steps forward.
»Listen to me.«
»You listen! You know too much about us! You can't leave... ever!« he grabbed her left arm and turned her around, so that he could see her full face.
»I can't live like this.«
»You'll die, if you oppose the government!«
»I'm already dead!«
»What happened to you?«
»I just want this to end.«
»Answer!«
»I want the maps, so that this nightmare can end!«
»You only think of yourself. You don't care about me, do you?«
»I do, but this isn't me. I have to play the role of a friend, who's gonna destroy everything!«
Whe she shouted out those words, Lucci grabbed her left shoulder and said with an angry voice:
»You know the truth!«
She turned her eyes to her shoulder. After looking at it for some moments, she closed her eyes and nodded.
»Good,« he let go of her shoulder.
»But I don't like it...«
»Poor you... we're going back to where we were after you joined the CP9. The Marine Captain Eva is dead, there's no going back!«
»Well maybe the Agent Eva must die too!«
»Don't you understand? I want you to value your life.«
»How can you call this life?« she asked with tears in her eyes. He grabbed her hand and pulled her away from the table to the sofa, where they took a seat.
»Don't look at me like that. I'm not gonna hurt you. Tell me, what do you want?«
»I want... a family, friends... a life.«

! Tension was everywhere in the company, because the pirates weren't too happy with their bill.
! »Like hell will we pay!« shouted the pirate captain.
»Don't argue with me,« replayed Eva with a cold voice and gave the bill to the captain.
»You think I'm afraid of you little lady?«
»You're already afraid of the bill,« she took the bill from his hand and moved it to his eyes so that he could more then clearly see the numbers. The pirates started laughing at the way the worker was treating the captain, which made the captain mad. He pulled out his sword and said: »I said I won't pay!«
»You really wan't to get hurt, do you?«
»Shut up!« the captain sliced with his sword which stopped right before her face.
»You think this scares me?«
! After some time of arguing the whole thing turns into a fight. The workers come to support Eva, so that it was an equal fight.
»Seam there are some problems here again,« said Iceburg as he came out of the company to find the source of all the noise.
»Is Eva-chan fighting too?« Anna asked with a worried voice.
»Yes. Don't worry about her, she's gonna be fine.«
»I'm gonna fight too.«
»What?«
»Yeah, I'll use this,« Anna grabbed her umbrella and ran to the crowd.
As she entered the fight she instantly became the main target.
»Anna watch out!« Eva shouted out, as a pirate ran towards her with a sword. She jumped forward to protect Anna. As she did that, she got cut by the pirates sword.
»What the?« gasped the pirate when he cut Eva's left arm, tearing up her sleeve. Eva fell to the ground, cowering her arm with her right hand.
»Eva-chan, are you hurt?«
»I'm fine. Just get out of hear. It's dangerous.«
»But your arm!«
»Screw that! Go!«
Anna picked herself up and ran away, as she was ordered too. The pirate was still standing in place, when Eva picked herself up, still holding her left arm.
»T-That symbol... how?« asked the pirate with a scared voice.
»You already know too much!« she shouted out when she picked up her sword and attacked.
! Once the battle was over, and the victory for the workers was guaranteed, Anna started searching for Eva, who mysteriously disappeared shortly after the battle.
»Paulie!« she shouted out when she saw him in front of the company, »do you know where Eva-chan went to?«
»No, I don't.«
»I have to find her! She's hurt!«
»Really?«
»Yes, she wanted to protect me, and the pirate attacked her.«
»What?«
»Things went so fast, I can't really remember everything.«
! In her office, Eva locked the door of her room and closed her window. She took off her shirt, with which she wiped off the blood off her shoulder and hands. When she finished, her shirt was full of red stains. After looking at it for some time, she wrinkled it and threw it on her desk. She started walking around in her room. She stopped in front of a mirror. She was still when she looked at her reflection. It seamed like she saw something that frightened her. As she was looking at her left arm, voices from the past appeared in her head:
»Look at it!«
! »I don't wanna live!«
! »Look at it!«
! »You can't go back!«
! »You killed my friends! How do you expect me not to feel like a traitor?«
! She moved her hand to her arm, slowly touched the tattoo on it, and said to herself: »The cursed mark…« Then suddenly someone knocked on the door. She quickly raised her head, and asked with a scared voice: »Who is it?«
A high pinched voice answered: »Don't worry it's only me. Lucci.«
She went to unlock the door. As he entered the room, she remained behind the door, so that noeone could see her. As Lucci entered the room, she quickly locked the door.
»They didn't see anything, so calm down.« he said speaking with his normal voice.
»Don't. They might hear you.«
He turned around and made a step forward, causing to squeeze Eva to the door. He moved his lips to her ear and whispered: »Then I'll whisper.«
»Ok... em...« she started feeling a bit uncomfortable and her voice was shaking, »Mind letting me go get some bandages?«
He had whispered once more into her ear, before he moved to her table: »Of course.«
As he took a sit on her chair, she opened her commode and took out the bandages. Lucci picked up her shirt and started to observe the blood stains on it.
»You killed him. Am I right?«
»Yes.«
»It seams our conversation yesterday really helped.«
She ignored that sentence and gave Lucci the bandages.
»Mindy helping me?«
He didn't say anything, he just moved his hand to her shoulder and wiped off some of the remaining blood.

CHAPTER 5: The Black Rose Pirates

! »Let me go!« Caty shouted out when the officers threw her into the cell.
»Like they will listen to you, pirate!« said the woman that was already in the cell.
»I'll talk to the Marine captain! And you'll be in big trouble!«
»Didn't you hear me?«
»What's your problem?«
»You! Stop screaming. This won't get you out!«
The women grabbed Caty's shoulder and pulled her away from the door.
»Don't drag attention brat!«
»Who're you calling a brat?!«
The woman made an angry face, and pushed Caty aside, making her fall. She moved her long, straight, black hair behind her ear and said: »I can see that you're a new one. You don't know much about our enemies.«
»So what if I'm new?«
»Well, let me, the experienced one, lead you.«
»Who exactly are you?«
»Pirate duchess Jeanne.«
»Pirate duchess? You're joking.«
»Why don't you take a closer look?«
Caty picked herself up, and took a closer look at the woman. She was tall, slim, with dark hair, with hazel eyes, wearing a pirate captain uniform.
»It's really you…«
»I'm glad you recognize me. Now, time for action!«
»What?«
»I'm getting out of here, or they'll execute me.«
»How are you gonna do that?«
Jeanne smiled and looked out the window.
»Soon, my pirates are gonna enter G-8. And the stupid Marines can't do anything against my dragon.«
»Nice plan. But... how are we gonna get out of this cell.«
»Watch and learn.«
Jeanne went to the door and put her hand on it.
»This will be over quick, get ready to run.«
»Huh? Wait! I still need to find my friends!«
»Fine, we'll go and get them. They shouldn't be far from our cell.«
Jeanne placed her left hand on her right, and it seamed as if she was trying to push the door away. She pressed her right hand to the door and said: »Impact!«
Suddenly the door were blown off.
»Wow! Awesome! How did you do that?«
Before Caty could get he answer Jeanne grabbed her hand and dragged her out. As they were running down the hall to the other cells she explained: »An Impact Dial. A device from Sky Island that will absorb the kinetic energy of hits and once the apex of the Dial is pressed, the stored energy is released.«
»Can I get one too?«
»Not from me. You'll have to find it yourself.«
Just then their conversation was interrupted. »Captain!« screamed a group of people from a cell behind them.
»Everyone! You're all right!« shouted out Caty when sh saw her crew mates.
»Is that all of them?« asked Jeanne. Caty nodded and before she could even step back, Jeanne blew off the locker of the cell.
»A small group... but never mind. Come on!«
Jeanne ran down the hall, with Caty and the others right behind her. They couldn't believe that they are actually being saved by the Pirate duchess.
! As they entered the next hall, a group of Marines were already waiting for them. They grabbed their swords and went to attack. Jeanne took a step back and got ready for battle, when a slim man in a suite and a cylinder from behind passed her by. He jumped before the Marines, hitting them with his cane. Just at the moment as his cane hit the Marines, thorns appeared on it.
»You guys are not as bad as you look.« said Jeanne with a smile on her face.
»I'm happy to hear that from you.« said the man, taking off his cylinder, »I'm Alfonze, The Gambler.«
»We don't have time for this. More marines are coming!«
! As the battle continued, the pirates were getting closer and closer to the exit.
»Ok, this is it!« said Caty with a big smile on her face, when she saw her ship again.
»Ok, get it out, so that we can leave!« ordered Jeanne.
»What was that?« asked Marvin when he heard a big explosion from outside.
»They're here!« said Jeanne with a smile on her face and sparkly eyes, »You are on your own now. Good luck.«
Jeanne ran passed the small ship to the edge of G-8, from where she could see her ship at the entrance.
»Get Black Rose over here!« she shouted out and waved to her crew.
A man shouted back: »We can't! The gate of the base is too small! We'll send Black Rose Dragon over!«
Just as he finished, a big dark red dragon, who's scales looked like rose petals, flew through the gates.
In the meantime the Shuffle Cats were able to get on their ship and into the sea. Just as they opened the sail, the dragon passed them by, causing their ship to hit the walls of G-8.
»What was that?« asked Marvin when he took his spyglass.
»That's Jeanne's dragon.« said Caty when she saw Jeanne get up on Black Rose Dragon.
»Well whatever it is, it really damaged our ship!« said Mercy with an angry voice.
»How bad is it?« asked Caty with a worried voice.
»Well there's no hole, but I can't guarantee for how long we can sail,« said Coky.
»Can we get it out of G-8?« asked Alfonze.
»I think we can.« said Coky.
»That's all we need now. Once we're out of here, we can go to Water 7. They'll help us out with the ship.« said Caty with a happy voice.
»That's where you're from captain, am I right?« asked Alfonze.
»Yes. I'll finally get to see them all again... but first, let's get out of here!« ordered Caty.
! As they were sailing towards the gates, Jeanne passed them by with her dragon once more. But this time, the dragon was flying slowly, and the wind of its wings didn't damage the ship.
»You gonna be alright? Your ship doesn't look too good.« she asked with a worried voice.
»Thanks to your dr...« said Mercy with an angry voice, but he was interrupted by Caty:
»Can you help us get to Water 7, where we can have our ship repaired?«
»I guess I can. See you outside G-8.«
Once outside, Jeanne helped the Shuffle Cats escape the Marines.
»That's strange. They stopped attacking us. It's like they don't care if we escape.« said Caty with a suprised voice.
»They're probably afraid of the dragon,« Alfonze said in a persuasive way.
! Now they were all on their way to Water 7.
! * Meanwhile in Water 7, the CP9 received a call from G-8.
»This is Commander Johnathan, from G-8.«
»Here's Kaku. What's wrong?«
»Pirate duchess Jeanne and the Shuffle Cats have escaped.«
»Really? Seams Caty made some friends. But why are you calling us then?«
! As Eva heard Kaku say Caty's name, she raised her head.
»Calm down.« said Lucci with relaxed voice, moving his hand to her face.
! »We heard their conversation.«
»Continue...«
»They are going to Water 7.«
! When Eva heard that, she wanted to push Lucci aside, but he embraced her tight and whispered: »Calm down... it's gonna be ok.«
! »Interesting. I have one more question fro you Commander. Why don't you stop them?«
»I think you need Shuffle Caty, to come with you to Enies Lobby.«
! »Enies Lobby?« Eva gasped.
! »True.«
»Luckily one of the agents is here at G-8. He informed us about you.«
»Really?«
»Yes, he was there to take Jeanne to Marine HQ, for execution.«
»Ok. Thank you for informing us. I think it would have been quite a shock, when we would see Caty in front of the company.«
! When Kaku ended the conversation, he looked over to Eva and Lucci, who were sitting on the sofa.
! »So Caty is coming back to you guys... interesting. Don't you agree?« Lucci asked Eva with a smile on his face.
»She's coming back... I don't understand why. Why?«
»I don't know, but that's not important. And I'm happy that she's bringing some dangerous pirates with her.«
»So tomorrow it begins?« asked Kaku. Lucci nodded.
»No!« Eva shouted out and grabbed Lucci's hand, »You said you'll give him more time!«
»I gave him more then 6 months.«
»But what about that Cutty Flam guy. We still need to get some informations about him! We can't go to action yet. We know too little.«
Kaku interrupted the conversation: »Cutty Flam is dead.«
Eva gasped: »Dead? You killed him?«
»No. He died with Tom, the Fishman, known as the most skilled shipwright in the world. It was about 22 years ago. He wanted to save Tom by stopping the Sea Train, but he failed.«
»Cutty Flam is dead for more then 20 years? But how... who was then that guy at the company?«
»Franky.«
»Franky?«
»There's a small group called Franky's Family in town. Simply criminals.«
»Things just don't match Kaku! If he would be a nobody, Iceburg would throw him out of the company. But no, he let him stay, they talked, and Iceburg seamed happy!«
»Well the data say he had died back then.«
Lucci interrupted the conversation with a cold voice: »Maybe Spandam was wrong.«
»Spandam?«
»Spandam saw him get killed. He was the one that took Tom from Water 7. But enough about that.«
She didn't say anything, she was thinking about something important.
! *At sea.
! »So you are from Water 7?« asked Jeanne with a surprised voice. Caty nodded.
»And the rest of you guys?« Jeanne looked at the rest of Caty's crew. Not one of them was from Water 7.
»Our captain is very excited, she'll get to see her old friends again,« said Alfonze.
»Friends? So how come your friends didn't join you on your cruise?«
»Well Jeanne it's like this... they are part of a company so they can't just leave.«
»But you could.«
»Well I'm different. I'm a criminal for more then 7 years.«
»I have never heard about the Shuffle Cats before.«
»I'm a pirate only for some months now. But the Government added me to the wanted lost with a different reason... I... I can read the Poneglyphs.«
»I guess traveling with you could be dangerous.«
»Yes... and because the Government's agents are hunting me, I left the company. I don't want them to get involved into this. I have already lost too much because of them...«
»I know what you mean... a lot of people become pirates because of the pain that the Governments caused to them.«
»They killed my friends... and one of them didn't know anything about the Poneglyphs! And she was a Marine Captain! How could they do that to her?!«
»A Marine Captain? Aren't the Government and the Marines allies?«
»Yes, but that guy didn't care... if I ever see him again...«
»Don't torture yourself... forget about the past. There's no way you'll find him. He was probably a member of CP9, the only Cipher Pol that isn't known to the world. They could be anyone!«

CHAPTER 6: The Return

! Early in the morning, in Water 7, Eva sneeked out of her house wearing a hooded black coat. In fact all her clothes were black- her high-heeled shoes, her skirt and her sleeveless shirt, which caused her to reveal her tatto. She put a white mask on her face and ran down the road. She didn't want anyone to see her, so she sometimes dissapeared into the dark alleys.
Once she reached the shore, she stopped. She was looking around, but she couldn't see any ship comming in.
»Maybe they didn't make it,« she said to herself.
She walked down the shore and found a funny looking house with a sign: Franky House. She slowely moved to the house and to the nearest window. She looked in and saw the same guy, that came to Iceburg. After some time, she stopped observing and went to the door. She knocked, and a slim woman with black square-like hairstyle oppened the door.
! »Who are you? You are not one of us are you?« she asked.
»No I'm not. But I can see that your boss sometimes likes to hide behind a mask aswell.«
»What do you want?« she now asked with an angry voice and moved her hand to her sword.
Eva looked at her sword and said: »I only want to talk to Franky.«
»And who are you?«
»A friend.«
The woman didn't say anything. She remambered what her boss said some days ago.
»I'm gonna go see an old friend. It has been so many years.«
»Ok, come on in.«
! She took her in, and so she could see the other members of the family. They were all staring at her. But the woman said: »Guys. It's ok, she a friend of our boss.«
Before anyone could reply, Franky entered the room.
! »A friend? I don't think I know you,« he said with a cold voice.
The woman moved away from her, pulling out her sword: »You tricked me!«
»No, I didn't…« Eva said with a calm voice.
A very similar woman, probably the others twin came closer and said: »Kiwi how could you?«
Kiwi replyed: »I tought she was a a friend, Mozu!«
»Franky, your friends seam scared. Why don't you explain to them, that you know me,« Eva said turning her look to Franky. He didn't say anything.
»Don't you remamber me... Cutty Flam?«
Franky made a serious face when she said the name.
»I was there at your side all the time,« she continued, and took some steps forward, » When he took Tom away.«
»What?« Franky gasped.
»When you attacked the agent, and ruined his face, his life,« she continued walking to him. As he reached Franky, she continued silently: »The boss will be so happy to see you alive. He remambers you everytime he seas his face.«
»Iceburg?«
Eva shook her head and removed the coat on her left shoulder. When Franky saw the symbol of the governments, he immediately wanted to remove Eva's mask. But she stopped him by threatning her with her sword.
»Boss!« yelled out the others and grabbed their weapons.
»We'll see us soon...« she took something from her pocket, »... CUTTY FLAM!« she yelled out his name and dropped a small ball on the ground, which caused a lot of smoak to appear.
! When she escaped from Franky's House, she returned home and as soon as she changed her clothes she ran to the company.

! As soon as she came to work, Anna ran ower to her.
! »Eva-chan! How's your arm?«
»My arm? It's fine. Thanks for asking.«
»Can I see it?«
»What?«
»I wan't to see your left arm.«
»Why would you want to do that?«
»Well...«
Anna started talking more silently:
»When you protected me, I saw something on your arm.«
»What?!« she gasped.
»And I'm not sure, if I saw right.«
»What did you see?!«
»A tattoo.«
When Eva heard that she turned white.
»I didn't see it well...«
»You don't have to.«
»I didn't know you had one.«
»You shouldn't!«
»What are you hiding?«
»The less you know the better...«
»What are you afraid of?«
! Eva turned her face away and cowered it with her hands and soon everyone started staring at her.
»What's going on?« Kaku asked Lucci with a worried voice.
»I don't know.«
He looked at Eva who was crying. When their looks met, she moved her hand away from her face and whispered: »Help me.«
»I'll take her home... you talk to Anna,« he ordered.
Kaku nodded, and Lucci went ower to Eva and Anna. Anna turned around and when she saw Lucci she didn't know what to say.
»I think we should go home,« Hattori pronounced his words in a soft way. Anna looked at Eva who moved her hands from her face and embraced Lucci. He moved his hand to her head and pressed her to his chest and whispered: »I'll get you out of here.«
Anna noticed that he said something without Hattori, but before she could say anything, Kaku asked her if they could have a talk.
»Why should we...« Anna pointed her finger at Kaku, »... have to talk?«
»Because Eva has some problems and we don't want to torture her, do we?«
»So you are trying to tell me that you can answer my questions?«
»I can.«
»Ok,« Anna agreed with Kaku. She turned her eyes to Eva one last time before she left and said: »I really don't understand why all the tears, but I'm sorry. I didn't want to torture you.«
»You are only torturing yourself, so sto...« Eva warned her, but before she could finish, Iceburg iterupted.
»What's wrong?«
»Nothing, Eva and I, we just had a little conflict,« Anna said with a happy face. Iceburg looked at Eva, who didn't say anything.
»A conflict?« he asked. This time Eva nodded.
»I'll take her home...« Lucci said to the boss.
»No, she can't leave now. Caty just called from her ship. They have just arrived.«
Eva quickly answered: »Great. Then I'll just go to my room.«
She grabbed Lucci's hand and dragged him to her office.
! Once there, she closed the door.
»What was that?« he demanded an explanation.
»She saw it.«
»What?«
»She saw that there was something on my arm... she knows that I have a tattoo.«
Lucci didn't say anything, the whole thing was a shock for him aswell.
»Please don't hurt her. She doesn't know anything, she just saw something.«
»We go to Iceburg tonight,« he made a quick decision.
»What?«
»We don't have time, and the pirates have already arrived, so there's no point waiting.«
»We don't know if he has the plans.«
»We do, you don't.«
»What?« she made a dissapointed face, »Why don't I know anything abou it?«
»You are already in too much pain because of them.«
»Don't you trust me?«
»I do, but...«
»How many other things don't I know?«
»Just the plan, but we can't discuss that here.«
»Well if that's how it's going to be, fine! Then keep me out of everything and let me go!«
Lucci stood up from his chair and went towards her: »Calm yourself down. Everything will be over tonight.«
»So I can leave?«
»We'll talke about it when we're at Enies Lobby.«
! *In front of the company.
»Caty!« shouted out the workers when they saw their old friend and the rest of the pirates. They were all happy to be back together. Iceburg embraced her and asked: »So how is it going?«
»Well I have some great friends in my crew, and I made some friends.«
»I see... the Pirate Duchess, Jeanne.«
»So where's Eva?«
Iceburg smiled: »You two haven't changed. You'r still best friends, aren't you?«
Caty nodded with a big smile on her face.
»But let me warn you. While you were gone, she found a new friend, who's even closer to her then you were.«
»Really?«
Paulie interrupted the conversation when he saw Caty's depressed face: »It's not quite the way Iceburg said. You are probably still her best friend, but she has got a boyfriend.«
»Really? Who is he?«
Before Paulie could answer, Caty shouted out Eva's name as she saw her come out of the company. Eva was walking slow but Caty ran towards her nad gave her a big hug.
»How are you? I heard from the guys that you have a boyfriend.«
»What?«
»Yeah Paulie and Iceburg tould me. So what's his name?«
Lucci interupted the conversation with a soft voice: »No needs for explanations.«
When Caty saw Hattori she whispered to herself: »That bird...« Eva heard her, that's why she became nervous: »So Caty, this is Rob Lucci...«
»So he's the lucky one,« Caty said with a serious face. There was something on Lucci that made her feel uncomfortable. Lucci and Caty shook hands.
»Oh, and this is The New Guy No. 2, Kaku.«
Kaku made a puzzled face: »Whats that all about?«
»Kaku, meet Eva's friend, Caty,« Lucci said with a smile on his face. Eva found that even more scary than when he had his deadly look. Caty continued on greating everyone when Eva went to Jeanne. When Jeanne noticed her walking towards her, she asked:
»What is it?«
»I want to know what does such a dangerous pirate wants here.«
»Am I bothering you?« she asked with an annoyed face. Some of her pirates that were at her side were already prepared to protect her captain, when Kaku came to Eva's side and said: »Come on, it's a nice, happy day. Why should we fight?«
»You should teach your pet not to bark so much,« Jeanne complained.
»Why you!« Eva wanted to slap Jeanne but Kaku grabbed her and pulled her away. When they were far enought so that they couldn't hear them, he said: »That was good.«
»Thanks,« she stopped struggling and went back to the others with a cold face.
Caty asked with a worried expression on her face: »Is something wrong?«
»That pirate, Jeanne, she freaked out because I asked her what she wants here.«
Anna cut in: »Well if you said it with the same tone as now, no wonder. I know you don't really like pirates, but don't forget you are no longer a Marine captain.«
»A Marine captain?« Caty asked, waiting for an explanation.
»I used to be a captain, but now I'm living a normal life.«
»One of my old friends was a Marine captain too.«
»Oh, really?«
»Yeah, but she got killed in battle.«
»I'm sorry to hear that. Please excuse me, I have some impoertant work to do,« Eva left and went to her office.
! Later in the evening they had a party in the company, but the party ended when they found Iceburg wounded.
Pulie ordered the others with an angry voice, worried for Iceburg: »Get the police here and someone call the doctor!«
Eva fell on her knees and started crying: »Iceburg, who did this to you?«
He didn't have the strainght to answer. A worker picked something from his table and said: »It's a rose. Do you think it has a meaning?«
»A rose?« Paulie steped a bit closer.
»Here,« he gave the rose to Paulie who was stearing at it for some time. He got mad all out of nothing and squeesed the rose in his hand.
»Paulie, what's wrong?« Eva asked him.
»Pirates...«
»What?«
»They attacked Iceburg.«
Caty made a scared face: »We didn't do anything. I would never hurt Iceburg.«
Paulie threw the rose on the ground and pointed his finger at Caty: »You didn't,« he pointed at the rose and continued, »but they did. The Black Rose Pirates!«
»This is stupid, why would they do that?«
»Maybe you could give us the answer to that.«
»Eva, tell him that he's wrong. You have to believe me!«
Eva got up from the ground and made a cold face: »I'm afraid that I can't believe you.«
»What? Why? Because you were a Marine and I'm a pirate?«
»No, I don't think that's it.«
»Jeanne wouldn't attack my friends!«
»You are hiding things from us,« Eva said with a cold voice.
»I don't know what you are talking about.«
»I'm about to tell you. The Poneglyphs.«
»You shouldn't know that! How do you know that?« Caty started panicking, scared that the she will bring trouble to her friends again.
»I'm not stupid. The wanted poster told me everything.«
»Do you want to die? You shouldn't know that!« Caty grabbed Eva by her arms.
»I didn't want to know, but you just ran off and I wanted to know why. Why?«
»Because I put everyone in danger because the stupid World Governments follow me everywhere and they would do enything to get me, even kill my friends.«
»What are you trying to say,« Paulie asked her with a surprised voice.
»Iceburg could have been attacked by the World Government.«
»You idiot!« Eva shouted out and shocked everyone.
»Eva, calm down!« Kaku ordered her from the other side of the room. But she ignored him and continued shouting: »You think you can blame them, because they are hunting you! It's your foult, you dragged them here! And now, we have to suffer!«
»I didn't think that they would find me here. I don't even know they were here. I didn't see anyone.«
A worker agreed with Caty not seeing any people from the World Government in the city, but Eva ignored that because she knew the truth: »You're still a criminal.«
»It's not my...«
»Shut up! You idiots who read the Poneglyphs are cursed.«
»I didn't choose it to be this way.«
»You studied them! I know how stupid you people are. I knew them. The idiots didn't want to give up on it, so they had to be killed!«
»And do you think it was right?«
Eva didn't answer, she was searching for the answer, but she couldn't decide what to say: »I don't know.«
»Some friend,« Caty said in a rude way.
»You know Caty, I'm really sorry for you.«
»Why's that?«
»You'll probably end up as my old friend, who had the same name. It seams Caty is a name for a doomed person.«
»That's stupid, I know at least 3 persons with the same name as you and non of them is such an idiot like you!«
»I guess that's all thanks to the fact that I was a Marine!«
»No wonder Jeanne freaked out, when you treat pirates like that!«
»Enought!« Paulie stopped the fight and ordered both of them to leave. Eva left right away while Caty stayed a bit longer and tried to convince the workers into believing her, that the Black Rose Pirates wouldn't attack Iceburg.
! Soon the police officer arrived with two policemans and a policewoman. They asked everyone about who visited the company that day and started looking for clues.
»So you think the pirates attacked Iceburg?« asked the officer.
»Yes, we found this rose. It's the mark of the Black Rose Pirates,« Paulie explained.
»Well to be honest, I don't think they would leave us such a trail.«
»What are you trying to say?«
»This is probably a trick. The criminal wants us to chase the pirates.«
»That ...«
Caty cut in with a proud voice: »I knew it. They didn't do it.«
The officer ordered the policemans to stay in the company for the next days: »They failed to kill him, so they will probably return.«
»We'll be ready!« Caty shouted out, »I'll gather my men, they'll help you and so will the workers. Noeone will tuch Iceburg-san!«
A young policewoman entered the room and reported to the officer that they can't find two of the workers anywhere in the company.
»What did you say?« asked the officer with a shocked expression on his face.
»I'm sorry, but two aren't here.«
»Search for them right away, they could have something to do with this.«
Paulie put his hand on the officers shoulder and said with a calm voice: »Don't worry. Eva just went home because we had a fight and Luccie probably went after her. That's nothing suspecious.«
»Fine,« the officer said with a calm voice, »Hana, go and find them now!«
The policewoman nooded and left the company right after she recieved the adress of Eva's home.
! Once there she knocked on the door and waited for her to open up. Because Eva didn't come right away she knocked once more. This time she could hear someone comming. Eva opened the door and made a surprised face: »Officer, what are you here for?«
»Iceburg was attacked, I think you know that. I have some questions for you and your friend.«
! Eva invited Hana to the livingroom where Luccie joined them.
»Where were you at the time when Iceburg was attacked?«
»We were both at the party with the others,« Eva replyed.
The interview continued like that untill Hana surprised Eva with her question: »I heard that you were a Marine. Why did you leave?«
»Why did I leave?«
Hana was still waiting for the answer.
Eva made a smile: »That is non of your business. This has nothing to do with the attack.«
»You are right, forgive me. I didn't think it was a secret. That will be all I wanted to ask you two. Good bye.«
! When Hana left Eva sat down on the sofa and looked at Luccie.
»Do we have the map thing?«
»No. But we will have it tomorrow before midnight,« he explained waiting for her reaction.
»No, not tomorrow!«
She got up and started walking: »No, no, no!«
Lucci tried to continue but she interupted him: »No! All the workers will be there protecting Iceburg. I won't fight against them!«
»If they will come peacefully, they'll live.«
»You know they will fight. Why don't we just take what we must and leave.«
»We don't have the time.«
»We are here for years! Let's wait some more days and go to Iceburg.«
Lucci didn't say anything for a moment, then he suggested: »Fine, another plan. We know that the police and the workers won't stop searching for the attacker till they find him.«
She agreed.
»So you will reveal yourself to get them off our backs.«
»W-W-What? I don't understand.«
»You can do things your way. Go to Iceburg and the others and have your peaceful way.«
»They will kill me if the find out!«
»Hide till late at night when we'll go get the plans and then we'll leave.«
She still didn't like any of the two plans. So Lucci said: »That's an order.«
She didn't know what to say, she was shocked by the idea going to Iceburg and the workers, to look in their eyes and tell them that she's working for the World Government and that she is responsible for the attack.
»I can't go there alone.«
»So you prefere the first plan?«
Scared of her decission she nooded, realising that she had no chance of ending this peacefully.
! At the same time the policewoman Hana was searching for the attacker and the workers and the pirates were waiting for Iceburg to wake up and reveal the truth.
Early in the morning Hana came across an interesting information after searching around some old Marine archieves.
»What? Killed!« she said to herself when she read an old report. She continued searching the old archieves but nothing could explain that to her.
! Next morning all the other workers, who didn't spend the night at Iceburg's side, came to work. Some hours later Iceburg woke up and they all came rushing to his room, filling the space around his bed.
»Boss, it's great to have you back,« Paulie said shaking Iceburg's hand.
Soon Iceburg faced the most important question: »Who attacked you and why?«
»I don't know,« he answered with a puzzeled face.
»How did he look like?« Caty continued asking.
Eva didn't want to hear his answer so she interrupted the conversation: »Caty, some respect! Let the boss get some air, he is still recovering. The questions can wait.«
»The police will probably be here any minute, he will have to answer their questions.«
! And Caty was not mistaking only half an hour after the workers informed the police about Iceburgs awakening they came ower. Again all the workers gathered to hear what the police has to say. The officer didn't have much to say when suddenly Hana entered the company with a lot of paper in her hands.
»What is it Hana, why the scandal?«
»Officer. I have found a very suspicious thing about one of the workers,« she chose her words carefully so that noeone would panick.
»Ok, let's hear it. Who do you suspect.«
Without thinking twice she said: »The ex-Marine Captain Eva!«

Hi guys. I was really busy with school, but now I've got hollidays so the story continues.

CHAPTER 7: The mission

! When Hana mentioned her name, she felt as if someone would stab her. But as soon as everyone turned their faces to her she made a calm face.
! »May I ask what are you accusing me of? «
»Nothing yet… But you are suspicious. « Hana took a piece of paper and gave it to Eva. Eva gave her a smile when she accepted the peace of paper without looking at it.
»Read it. Loudly!« Hana ordered her when she made one step back.
Eva didn't smile anymore, she looked down at the peace of paper in her hand. She started reading to herself first. Before the police officer could order her to read aloud, Eva turned pale white.
»Where did you find this?« she asked Hana.
»I'm the one giving questions here, remember? Now read,« she ordered her once more.
Eva pretended not to hear her, so Hana took her peace of paper and said: »If you won't read it to the others, I will.«
»Stop playing stupid games with me!« she shouted at Hana.
Paulie made step forward: »I have to agree with Eva, this seams like a joke. Come to the point!«
»Fine,« Hana agreed, »The Marine Captain she claims to be was killed 7 years ago.«
»7 years?« Caty repeated her words, »Captain Eva?«
Hana continued: »You can't be that person.«
»I...« she made a puzzled face and she looked at Kaku and Lucci, her look begging for help.
»Can I say something,« Anna interrupted.
! They all turned to her as she spoke: »I saw some photos at her house. Photos of her at the Marines.«
»Are you sure it was her?« the officer asked with an inquisitive voice.
»She told me. But I'm sure she has changed. On those pictures she was really young.«
»I didn't see any photos anywhere,« Hana continued to accuse Eva.
»She probably had them in an album,« Paulie contradicted Hana.
»They were...« Anna wanted to answer but Eva cut in with a low voice.
! »Anna shouldn't have seen them. And you are right, I'm not what I seam to be,« her hand was shaking as she moved it to her arm. She paused for some time, clenched her hand and pulled up her sleeve.
»This can't be...« the officer gasped as he saw the symbol of the World Government.
»Who are you?« Hana asked with a weak voice, still shocked by the truth.
»That's not important, now is it? All you guys need to know is that I'm not your friend.«
At that moment Paulie grabbed Eva by her shoulder and pushed her to the wall.
»Paulie stop!« Anna cried out.
»You traitress! Why? Why?«
»Because Iceburg just won't give in. But we'll get what we came for. I have spend here way too much time already,« she gave a hasty glance at Lucci and pulled out a knife from her pocket.
»Move aside Paulie,« she ordered with a cold voice.
Shocked by the fact that his friend was pointing a knife at him Paulie slowly stepped back.
»If you give up, nothing bad will happen,« she said with a weak voice.
»Eva-chan...« Anna said more to herself than to her.
Eva started to move to the entrance, as she passed by the officer she said: »Don't even think of taking out your gun. There's no use. I'm leaving anyway.«
»And you,« she turned to Hana, »You're good. I never thought that you would bother so much about something like my past.«
She noticed Caty reading the report.
»And Caty!«
Caty raised her head.
»Make sure you don't end up like that.«
»Why?« Caty asked as if she didn't hear her. Eva made a surprised face: »Why what?«
»Why her? Why did you have to do this?«
»I don't have time for this,« she turned her back to Caty and slowly went to the entrance. She gave one last look to them all. Just as she was about to leave, Caty ran ower to her and knocked her on the floor.
Caty grabbed her knife and pointed it at Eva.
»You want to kill me, don't you?« Eva asked her with a small smile on her face.
»Why are you doing this?«
»Orders,« she gave a glance to Lucci. Than things happened fast, she threw Caty off her and picked herself up and ran out.
Caty didn't waste time she got up and followed her.
»Caty, wait!« Paulie ran after her with some workers and Lucci.
»We need to stay here!« Anna cried out after them but it was too late, they had already left.
! Eva was running down the streets as fast as she could but Caty was behind her all the time. She wanted to escape from her, so she went to a small street. She wanted to reach the coast and to get herself a small boat to run away from it all. But suddenly someone grabbed her hand and pulled her to the side.
»Lucci?« she gasped as he pulled her to the dark edge of the street.
»Stay here,« he ordered her when he pushed her deeper into the darkness.
As soon as Caty appeared she was knocked unconscious by Lucci. Her face was pale as she saw Caty fall down and she wanted to speak but she changed her mind when she heard footsteps coming from the wall. As she predicted Blueno appeared and Lucci passed Caty to him.
»She's not dead,« Lucci whispered to her.
»I know,« she tried to stay calm.
After that she disappeared with Blueno and Caty into the wall.
! Later in the apartment above Blueno's bar Blueno tied up Caty and left her with Eva.
»When I come back, we'll go to the company,« he noticed her hand clench but he left without saying anything else.
She remained still fro some moments and tears started shedding down her face.
»I'm sorry,« her sobbing got louder and she covered her face with her hands.
! In the company the workers were still shocked by the truth and the policemen were investigating the situation with Iceburg. But soon they had left without saying a word to the workers. It was because they didn't know what to do, the didn't know who's side to join, the side of the workers and Iceburg who had nothing wrong or the side of the Government and their agents.
»Aren't you leaving?« Kaku asked when he noticed Hana sitting next to some workers.
»No I'm not. I know who I want to help.«
»Fine,« he gave her a friendly smile and as soon as she was distracted, he took the old Marine report from the desk and hid it into his pocket.
»I don't think Eva-chan is bad,« Anna said with a soft voice when Paulie continued to yell at her.
»She attacked Iceburg! How can you say that she isn't a bad person? Iceburg didn't do anything wrong!«
»She was at the Marines, I know she was!«
»No you don't!«
Anna left the company without a word.
! Outside she met Lucci, who was standing and watching the company from a distance.
»Hay. Are you o.k.? I'm sure you're shocked about what happened.«
He nodded.
»I know you like her... Well, I just want to let you know, that I believe that Eva-chan isn't a bad person, like you do. Don't you?«
! Eva left the apartment as soon as it got dark. She left a note for Blueno, explaining to him that she had left to take some of the stuff before they would leave. She knew that if anyone would see her, they wouldn't let her escape, so she put on her carnival costume and a mask before leaving.
Once in her apartment she didn't turn on any lights, she walked slowly to the living room as she heard someone open the door.
»It's open?« Anna gasped as she noticed that the doors were unlocked.
When Eva heard her voice she hid behind the door of the living room. When Anna entered the room she turned on the lights without looking around. She was taken by surprise when she saw the photos on the desk. She quickly went to the desk and started looking at the photos. But suddenly the lights went out.
»Who's there?« Anna asked with a frightened voice.
»Why did you have to come here?«
»Eva-chan...« she recognized her voice.
»Do you want to get killed?« she grabbed Anna's shoulder.
»Will you kill me?« she turned around even if she couldn't see much because of the darkness.
»No, no... I wouldn't... I don't want to...« Eva explained with a fragile voice.
»I know you are a good person,« Anna replied as she heard her weak voice.
For a moment there was silence but then she heard her sobbing.
»Promise me, that you'll run away.«
»Run away?«
»Promise me!« she shouted at Anna.
»Why will I have to do that?«
»Otherwise they'll kill you. You know a lot and still you want to know even more about me. And you shouldn't!«
»I want to know what that report means! I want to know who you really are!«
»Promise me and than I'll tell you,« as soon as she said those words she regretted them.
»Fine,« Anna said with a calm voice, »I promise that I'll run away from Water 7.«
»Thank you,« she hesitated for a moment, »Believe it or not but I really am Captain Eva, who was part of Kuzan's crew.«
»But the report...«
Eva noticed someone standing across the street observing them through the window. Without wasting anymore time she pulled Anna away from the window and into the hall. »Did you tell anyone that you were coming here?«
»Yes, I told Lucci,« Anna explained.
»You must go, now!« she pulled Anna into the kitchen and opened the back door.
»Now, fulfill your promise!« she ordered her.
»What's going on?«
»Just go!« she pushed her into the streets when she heard the front door open. She locked the back door and slowly went into the hall. It was dark but she could feel the presence of someone else. She remained still waiting for the visitor to make a move. Time seamed to have stopped as nothing had happened. After waiting a while she decided to take a risk, so she made the first move. When she was slowly moving towards the end of the hall, she noticed a sudden move towards her.
»Where is she?« he whispered into her ear while holding her close. She recognized the voice immediately so she didn't struggle.
Moving her lips to Lucci's ear she whispered back: »She left.«
»What did you tell her?«
She inhaled and hid her face in his hair: »She is not our target. I told her to stay out of it.«
! Anna was running quickly, not wasting even a second. She stopped when she got to the shore. When she spotted Jeanne's ship she went to see her and to explain to her what she found out. As she had predicted Caty's crew was also on Jeanne's ship.
»What are you doing here?« Jeanne asked with an unfriendly voice instead of giving her a warm welcome.
»I want to tell you that we are all sorry that we have accused you of attacking Iceburg.«
»Now you come?«
Anna didn't say anything so Jeanne continued: »I heard that you have a traitor in the company.«
»That's what I want to talk with you.«
»Me?«
»Yes, and all of you.«
! Soon the time was right, and Eva and Blueno were the ones that made the first move with Kaku and Lucci already in the building.
»Are you ready?« Blueno asked her when he noticed her worried expression on her face.
»Of course I am,« she replied with an angry voice putting a feathered mask on her face.
As soon as the workers noticed them running around they knew that it was Eva and they didn't really care much about the masked person at her side. They all just wanted to catch her, who betrayed all of them. But thanks to Blueno's powers they vanished as soon as things got too instance and they entered Iceburg's room.
! Eva remained still when she saw Iceburg in bed. Blueno took out a gun when Eva shouted: »Don't!«
»So it's really you,« Iceburg said with a harsh voice.
Without wasting words Eva took off her mask and looked at Iceburg and asked: »Where are the plans?«
»I won't tell you!« he said without thinking twice.
She clenched her hands in fists, fearing the terror that this will bring above the workers and Iceburg. Blueno didn't do anything he was just waiting for Iceburg to do a wrong move so that he could shoot him once more.
! It didn't take long for Lucci and Kaku to join them.
»So that's all of you?« Iceburg asked when he saw two more masked persons enter the room.
»Yes that's all of us,« she said without looking at Iceburg.
»What have you done to the workers?« he asked with a strict voice.
Eva turned pale.
»We made sure that no one will bother us,« Lucci answered the question instead of her. He grabbed her by her shoulder and pushed her to Iceburg's bed. Even though he was gentle and had no intention of hurting her, she fell on the ground.
She got up without looking back at him and took a step towards Iceburg. But when she got close Iceburg pulled out a gun and pointed it at her.
»Iceburg-san, you're pointing a gun at me?« she asked with a surprised voice. His hand was shaking but he didn't put the gun away.
»This is all your fault Iceburg, not hers,« Kaku interfered and took off his mask.
»Kaku?« Iceburg gasped. Blueno was the next one to take off his mask, followed by Lucci.
»You're all ...« Iceburg was too shocked to finish the sentence, but he pulled himself back together and pointed the gun back at Eva.
She shouted: »Are you and idiot? Do you really want to get killed?«
Before Iceburg could let go of the gun Lucci kicked him aside and grabbed Eva's hand: »Stay here.«
Kaku continued with their mission, firstly by revealing the secrets about Cutty Flam and Franky being the same person and his relationship to Iceburg. Later on he tried to get some information about the plans, but Iceburg still didn't want to give in. Things were getting more intense every moment, and Eva was more and more uneasy while still being held by Lucci, who kept whispering into her ear: »Stay calm. Don't do anything stupid now that we're almost there.«
She felt weak, there was a strange pain inside her chest and she felt as if someone was suffocating her, when she was looking at Iceburg and the pain inside his eyes.
! Suddenly they heard footsteps outside the room.
»Someone's coming,« Blueno said and went to the door to deal with the unexpected visitors. When he got close to the door Caty's crewmates and Anna entered the room. They stopped when they noticed everyone in the room.
»So we're not too late after all,« Alfonze said when he put his cylinder back on his head.
»Eva-chan, Iceburg-san, we're going to save you!« Anna yelled across the room, shocking the boss and Eva. Hearing her brave words Lucci started laughing loudly.
Marvin quickly pulled out his sword and attacked Lucci: »What are you laughing at?!«
Marvin only moved for a small distance, when Lucci released Eva and grabbed him by his neck, lifting him above. Marving started yelling when Lucci began to squeezing his neck. He couldn't defend himself, because of the pain he dropped his sword fell to the ground. Before any of the Shuffle Cats could attack to save their friend, Eva screamed: »Please stop, Lucci!« She covered her ears so that she couldn't hear Mervin scream when she cried out once more: »Lucci please, I can't take this! Please!«
At first Lucci ignored her and he continued suffocating the pirate so hard that he couldn't even scream anymore. That's when the other crew members went to attack, but they were all quickly stopped by Blueno who knocked them down easily.
»What were you guys thinking?« Kaku asked with a sympathetic voice taking some steps closer to Anna. He stopped when Alfonze grabbed his leg, while still lying on the ground. Without giving any attention to the weak grip of the pirate he continued: »We were chosen by the World Government for this mission. Amateur pirates like you don't stand a chance.«
Lucci let go of the poor Mervin who was barely breathing, dropping him on the ground. He kicked him aside and Coky, who saw the way he was treating his friend, hissed at him: »Bastard!«
Hearing his rude words Lucci came to Coky and stepped on his chest. Eva didn't take her hands of her ears when she heard his cries of pain. She closed her eyes and kneeled to the ground.
»Stop it, you're hurting him!« Anna shouted at Lucci when she couldn't look at his torture anymore.
»I'll stop when Iceburg admits where are the plans!« he said with a deep voice before he continued to torture Coky. Anna shouted out the same words again but he ignored her. With all the attention on Lucci and his cruel act, Iceburg tried to reach out to his gun to stop this madness. Eva who had opened her eyes just for a short moment, noticed his act. She got up slowly and started walking towards the others. On her way she stepped on Iceburg's gun and without any effort kicked it aside, what only Kaku really noticed. She came to Lucci's side, put her hand on his shoulder and said with a weak voice: »Stop this. He has nothing to do with the plans.«
He stopped pushing his foot at his chest, but he didn't remove it: »Than why is he here?«
»Because he's stupid. They all are!«
He liked what she was saying.
»Pirates are stupid, that's what you taught me.«
»And you are learning fast,« he put his leg away and turned himself to Eva. He leaned closer to her as if he didn't want anyone else to hear him speak: »But ... what was that earlier?«
»Just some memories trying to confuse me,« she said with a strong voice, trying to convince him that she's strong and fearless and ready to end the mission.
He usually liked testing her strength, but they were running out of time. He gave a quick look to Anna and Kaku and before you could notice Kaku knocked her unconscious.
Kaku quickly got the final proof that Franky has the plans and so they left the company that caught fire.
! Once they captured Franky they took him to the train station, where Blueno already delivered Caty to a group of armed men. Standing at the entrance of the train, Eva gave one last look to Water 7. Inside her mind she was trying to convince herself that betraying them was the only way she could even start talking about returning to Kuzan's crew, but deep inside she knew, that even such sacrifice doesn't assure her freedom.

CHAPTER 8: The story of friendship

! Once Eva took her seat on the train, Kaku started the conversation. »How are you feeling?« he asked with a gentle voice, knowing her inner pain.
! »Fine,« she said without looking at him.
»It's ok to feel sad.«
She gave him a surprised look, while he had a smile on his face. He was the only one that allowed her to show such emotions, while Lucci was the one that despised weakness. When she heard the door of the carriage open, she turned around quickly and saw Lucci closing the door and taking off his coat.
»Blueno is taking care of Franky,« he said to Kaku while looking at Eva. She gave him a small blush and secretly whipped away the tears in her eyes.
»And Caty?« Kaku quickly asked.
»Some armed men.«
»Maybe he could use some help,« he gave one last look to Eva and went to leave the carriage. When he came to the door, he stopped and said to Lucci: »At least listen to her.«
Kaku looked back to Eva, who was taking off her coat and taking a seat.
Lucci replied: »She knows the answer. Isn't giving her false hope more cruel?«
Hearing that Kaku left without saying a word, he knew that Lucci would always accept an invitation to such a conversation, where he could test her emotions and in the end cause her pain. Lucci took a seat next to Eva, who gave him a shy look.
»Nervous?« his voice was a bit provoking.
»A bit. The mission isn't over yet,« she tried to stay calm and act strong.
»Do you think they are going to come to the station?«
»I hope not,« her voice was more silent than before. He knew she was worried for her new friends, but he didn't really blame her, since she spent there quite a long time.
! When Kaku entered the carriage, Caty gave him an angry look because she had already heard what had happened to her crew mates.
»Can you leave us alone?« he asked the armed men, who left right away.
When they were left alone Caty asked with an angry voice: »What do you want?«
»I have some questions.«
»I'm not going to answer them!«
Kaku knew that this was going to be hard. Caty was stubborn and she wasn't going to give in easily.
»Would you rather talk to Eva?« he offered.
»She's a traitor. That's probably not even her real name.«
»Things are not easy for her. You shouldn't judge her like that.«
She gave him a curious look, so Kaku continued with Eva's story: »Her story begins … when she ...« He paused. It was like as if he would be searching for the right words. Than he continued: »When she joined the CP9. She was 20.«
He stopped again, but this time he smiled: »Now has it really been 7 years?«
»Well at least she didn't lie about her age.«
»She was a lot like you. Stubborn, self-confident, just. Kuzan made an agreement with the governments while she was recovering in hospital. At first she didn't want to accept the fact that she had to start a new life, working for the CP9, working with us.«
He took a seat opposite to Caty: »She hated us.«
»I won't believe your lies. If she hated you, why would she be working for you 7 years, and that guy ... she loves him,« her voice was sharp as a knife.
»Their story is really something special. Going from hate to love, from attempted suicide to loving life.«
With those words he caught her attention once more: »She wanted to kill herself?«
»Well she didn't have the strength to do it, so she started a dangerous game with Lucci which almost costed her her life. She hated him even more when he didn't kill her twice.«
She felt disgusted listening to what he was saying: »You guys are insane ... this is sick. You think you are fighting for justice, but you are the most immoral creatures. And so is she, how dare she uses the name of the departed Marine Captain who fought for Rosalie and her son!«
When he heard her words, he started connecting things together. After some time he looked really worried and pale.
»What's wrong?! Don't have anything to say now?! Serves you sick bastards right!« she felt like a winner, she felt that she had finally proven to him that their definition of justice is wrong.
He started speaking again, this time with a careful voice: »You're Rosalie's and Eva's friend.«
»Damn right I am! You guys didn't complete the mission back than. I'm still alive. The government needed quite long to figure that out. The wanted poster came out a lot of years after the mission.«
Her voice was full of pride, but she didn't see the truth behind it all, like Kaku did. He said to himself: »If Eva finds out ...«
»What are you talking about?«
! Meanwhile Eva was trying to convince Lucci about returning to the Marines, but he didn't even want to listen to her.
»I did everything you asked of me the last 7 years!« she begged him again and again, but he remained cold.
»And why would you like to leave?«
»You know I don't like my so called job. I did a lot of bad things!«
»You think going back to the Marines is going to purify your soul? Don't make me sick!«
When he said those words she pushed her hands up her forehead, removing her hair for it.
»And don't mention that to Spandam, because you will get in trouble. And I will act as if we never had this conversation.«
He reached out to her with his hand. She kept looking at it for a while but than she stretched out her own hand and grabbed his. He mildly pulled her by her hand, so she moved a bit closer.
»Still shy, are we,« he moved his other hand around her waist and pulled her closer.
Every time he touched her she shivered and this time it was no exception. She was mad at herself because she was always taken in by the same words, he always promised her only a conversation about returning to the Marines, but still she believed that that would be enough. But it never was and it seamed it never will be. When the conversation was over she always felt as if she never had a chance of having things her way and that it was all for Lucci's amusement.
! Kaku was sitting in silence, when Caty started asking question: »What's with you? What are you saying?«
Suddenly he started speaking again: »Are you so blind? Are you both so blind?«
Caty still didn't know what was going on, Kaku was suddenly stricter than before. He pulled out the report to look at Caty's photo from 7 years ago. She was still skinny and tall, her hair was now longer, darker and less wavy then they used to be. Her face only changed as much as it changes with aging.
»It really is me,« she explained to him, when she noticed the report in his hand.
»Than look at her,« he moved the report closer to her face and pointed his finger at an old Marine photo of Eva.
»Don't tell me you don't know who she is.«
»Of course I know. That's Eva, the one you killed back than.«
He put the report back into his pocket. He looked once more at Caty, got up and said: »She's alive.«
»What are you saying? The Marine report clearly says that she died,« she was getting nervous because she didn't understand what he was trying to tell her.
»Tell me about your friend Eva, the one you met in Water 7.«
»I should be asking you that. She probably lied about everything she had ever said to me.«
»Try imagining her in a uniform.«
She looked even more confused, but she didn't speak.
»Imagine her with glasses, longer and darker hair,« he stopped when he heard her sobbing. He looked at her and said with a compassionate voice: »So you see it now.«
»This can't be … you're just trying to confuse me!« she didn't know what to believe, she felt as if her own memories were playing a trick on her. Kaku took a seat again.
She demanded an explanation: »Why are you telling me these things?«
»I find it really sad that you two didn't recognize one and other, while you were both very tied to that final meeting. How well did you really know one and other?«
She hesitated for a moment, but than she whispered her answer: »We didn't see one and other much because she was at sea. She came to Rosalie like I did, that's where we first met. But she kept sending letters to us.«
»I'm surprised you even know how she looked like.«
»She was not a stranger!« she didn't notice that she was shouting, »I just saw here rarely. We were growing up separately!«
Tears were flowing down her cheeks while she was trying to carry on speaking but she couldn't. Her hands were clenched in fist, squeezing her clothes with all her strength. Half and hour passed without a word. Caty was starting to calm down, that's when she asked Kaku a question: »Why did she betray us? Why did she join you?«
»Like I said ... Kuzan made an agreement with the governments while she was recovering in hospital.«
»But that man back than ... I heard her screams of pain«
He cut in: »Soon after the explosion, Kuzan came to the house. He came just in time to convince him to let her live. Than she was taken to the hospital while the Marines made the agreement with the Government.«
! *7 years ago
! When Eva woke up in hospital she found herself covered in bandages. When she tried to move she felt pain in her body.
»Don't move,« the doctor ordered her before leaving the room. He didn't close the doors, so she knew that he was coming back. She was looking around the room, trying to remember what had happened. Her eyes met with the nurse that was sitting on a chair next to the door. The nurse gave her a smile: »How are you feeling?«
»I think I'm ok,« she wasn't sure how she's feeling; there was a strange pain but she also felt comfortable and calm. Just when she was about to pose a question to the nurse, they both heard voices from the hall. She recognized the voices, one voice was the doctor and the other was with no doubt Kuzan. She was right. They both entered the room; Kuzan had to stoop while entering the room because of his tall figure. Eva always found that really interesting and funny that's why she always smiled when she saw him entering places. This time she gave him a weaker smile than usual, but he noticed it.
»Ararara ... you look happy for a patient,« he tried to keep a serious face but in the end he returned the smile. He took a seat next to her bed.
»I know you're still recovering, but we need to have a talk,« he scratched his head while searching for the right words.
»Do you know what you did?«
»Yes,« there was no sound of guilt in her voice.
»You know that you fought against an agent of the World Government, don't you?«
She felt that he was accusing her now, so she answered with a strict voice: »He just came out of nowhere, attacked Rosalie so I defended her. He didn't have any symbols, so I didn't know till it was already too late. Besides I was in my uniform, so he could have informed me what was going on!«
»Anyway ...«
»You can't just ignore me like that!«
The doors opened again, this time it was the agent that attacked her. He didn't say anything, but she noticed him quickly. When she saw him she was shocked and scarred and she tried to get up, but as soon as she started moving her wounds started hurting.
The nurse came to her bed right away: »Miss you shouldn't force yourself to move. Stay still.«
The agent now looked next to the bed, at Aokiji who gave him a calm look. Aokiji than grabbed Eva's arm and ordered her: »Stay calm and stay still.«
The nurse got back to her seat when Eva stopped moving.
The agent came the other side of her bed giving her a cold look of a heartless man. The look felt even colder than Aokiji's hand. He moved his look to Aokiji and asked with a polite voice: »Did you tell her?«
He didn't answer, but it was good enough for the agent, he knew what was going on.
»Tell me what?« Eva soon started to wonder.
»Your actions almost got you killed.«
She spoke with a silent voice so that none could hear her: »Like I don't know that.«
»You acted against the order of the Government and you should have been killed, but I could arrange an agreement. You know a criminal is allowed to join the Marines as long as they forget their past, right?«
She gave him a nod.
»So that's what's going to happen to you. You'll be joining the CP9,« he was looking away when he said those words. He knew how that was going to shock her, but it was the only way to keep her alive. Her lips were moving but the no voice came out of her mouth, due to the shock her voice was stuck in her throat.
»Now rest. The wounds are no joke,« Aokiji got up and went to the door to leave the room. That's when her voice came back, she started shouting like crazy, calling her admiral to return, but he didn't. She wanted to follow him, she didn't want to stay there any longer. While gating up her wounds started hurting but she didn't mind, she kept on moving. Soon the nurse and the doctor came to her and put her back in her place, trying to calm her down.

! »At first she thought Aokiji betrayed her, but later, she understood that he was only trying to help her. The truth is: she made things hard for herself.«
Caty wanted to know more: »And what about that agent that killed Rosalie?«
»You know who he is, don't deny it ... and so does she.«
Caty looked at her knees, her hands were still clenched in fists and they were shaking. She whispered his name to herself: »Rob Lucci.«

First I want to say that I'm sorry for not posting for so long. I had a lot of work and I couldn't finish this chapter for months. I hope you like it. It's a bit dark and cruel but i think the ending brings a bit light to it all.

! CHAPTER 9: »I'll turn that hatred into love.«
! Caty didn't like what she was hearing from Kaku. »Why would she team up with him?«
Kaku closed his eyes trying to picture the past inside his head. When he started speaking his eyes were still closed: »At frist she didn't want to.«
He opened his eyes when he saw a scene from the past before him. Just months after Eva had recovered from her wounds, she started planing how either to kill Lucci or herself. She came up with a deadly plan. First she would try to avenge her friends deaths, but if she would fail Lucci would already be enough provoked to kil her.

! Still not fully recovered, Eva started her training with the CP9, although her program was different from the others. Already at her first training she met with Lucci. As soon as she saw him she felt sick and weak, that's why she left the training as soon as it was ower. She got into her room after she had asked for the doctor to come ower. Her body was hurting due to the hard training and even laying donw on her bed gave her pain. She closed her eyes while she was waiting for the doctor to come and treat her. She wasn't sure whether she was already half asleep and dreaming when she heard the door open, that's why she didn't open her eyes. When she felt a touch on the wrist of her left hand, which was laying next to her head, she became sure that she wasn't dreaming. Her eyes opened slowely noticing that the room was still as dark, as she had left it. There was still just a small lamp glowing on her desk. She didn't understand why the doctor wouldn't make himself some light for his work. Her body turned around to face the doctor who was still delicately moving his fingers up and down her hand. But the doctor wasn't there, it was Lucci. She recoild at the sight of his figure and screamed: »What are you doing here? Get out!«
»We are in the same team, remember?«
»As if I could forget that.« She squeezed her body against the wall next to her bed in order to stay as far from him as possible. At the sight he started laughing which made her heart beat even faster. There was something abut his laughter that gave her chills.
»What do you want?« she asked once more, this time with a frightened voice.
»You hate me, don't you?«
What kind of question was that? Such words made her even more confused. When he moved his hand to the bed and slid it closer to her, she got up on her knees and moved into the corner of the bed.
»And as long as you do, you won't agree on working with us,« he took a seat on the bed with his body turned ower to her part of the bed. She didn't say anything, she just wanted him to leave as soon as possible. But he wouldn't stop, whatever he had in mind. He moved himself closer to her.
»Stay back, or I'll …« She was threatening him only with words. She was mad at herself when her body didn't even have enought strenght to push him away. Her hands were pushing against his body, but nothing happened. He felt his breath on her skin and that's when she shouted one more time: »Go away! What do you want?«
He acted as if he didn't hear her and moved closer. She tryed to move away but she was already out of space so she could only move her head to the side to awoide facing his look. When her head turned away she bagged with a weak voice: »Please ... just go away.«
Again he ignored her. He moved his lips to her throat enjoying their little game, especially because he was the one in control. Now there wasn't even enough space for her to push him away. Her hands remained trapped bethween her body and his. Feeling his warm breath on her neck made her let out an unusual sound – something between despair and pain; which got lost in silence. »I'll turn that hatred into love.« He whispered those words into her neck.
The word »love« caught her attention this time. For a moment she remained still, her arms stopped struggling for freedom and her face looked down. She couldn't believe a man like Lucci would even use that word. But she didn't know that she was the one that kept on reminding all the CP9 members that they are all human after all, and that maybe they have feelings somewhere inside them aswell.
The moment of schock was an opportunity Lucci wouldn't miss. He grabbed her by her waist and pulled her down, nailing her to the bed. When she first felt his touch her fingers grabbed his shirt tightly, but now they were pushing him away again. »Stay away!«
Lucci would have ignored her once more, if it weren't for a person knocking on the doors of the room. They both remained still and listened carefully. When the person knocked once more they heard the doctors voice. At that moment she started shouting: »Doctor, please! You must help me!«
Lucci backed off when the doctor entered the room. Noeone said a word and even when Lucci left the doctor only said the things he really had to, like how to treat her wounds and information about the pills. As soon as the doctor left, she locked the doors, but even that didn't calm her down. It took her hours to fall asleep, and it was all the same for the next months.
She was most of the time alone, but the fear just wouldn't go away. The feeling of being trapped was there all the time. Lucci returned to her after less than a month, this time even more impudent and to her bad luck noeone came to save her this time. When he held her close to himself, her back at his chest, she started to snivel, because that was all she could do. And at that point, he let her go and moved some steps away, but when she turned to face him he didn't have a guilty expression on his face, as she tough he would. It was than that she understood that he enjoys such games of fear, but she was always frightened that he would grow tired of them and decide to entertain himself another way.
even when she got a new and bigger room, she kept spending her days in constant fear. Living in fear, she came up with a plan. She couldn't go on like this anymore, so she decided to take revange for her friends and herself. After stealing some poison, she invited Lucci ower, telling him that she felt lonely. She was a bit surprised when he actually came, but that just made her hate him even more. He took a seat and watched her go to the small kitchen make some tea. The making of the tea didn't take her long. Soon she put the teapot and the cups on the table next to him. She poured the tea before him, so that she would give him the impression that she is just. When she had filled her cup, she went back to the kitchen to get some snacks. Once there, she waited and from time to time mad some noise with the plastic bags or the dishes. She wasn't sure what he was doing, so she called to him from the kitchen: »It might tame some time, sorry. Just start without me.«
She was still. Than she heard the china cup break and she felt a strange feeling in her chest and throat. Slowely she moved to the entrance of the kitchen and just when she was about to take a look, Lucci appeared in front of her. She took a quick step back, but he caught her by her wrist and hissed: »You think I'm stupid. You tried to poison me, you witch!«
There was some anger in his voice, which was not like him. He would usually be calm and already that made him scarry.
Things happened fast next. She quickly grabbed a knife, but even that didn't help her. Her hands were shaking and she couldn't even hold the knife right after Lucci trasformed himself with the help of his Devil Fruit ability, explaning her how he could sense the poison in his cup. She took a deep breath and took hold of the knife with both hands, warning him to stay away from her. As usual, he wasn't scared away by her threats. His attacks came fast and unexpected and before she could notice the fangs of the beast were pintching her arm. When he let her go, her arm was cover in blood and so were his fangs. He surprised him with her will to carry on fighting. She wanted to kill him or herself, it didn't matter at that point, because either way she would be free from the fear.
She tought it was her end, when she was pressed against the kitchen wall with her body full of wounds. She found it funny, how it didn't hurt that much anymore. She whispered with her weak voice: »Just kill me already.«
But he wouldn't do anything. It made her mad and tears came to her eyes, knowing once more that she is trapped in a life she doesn't want anymore. What happened next is unknown to her, since she fainted due to the amount of blood she had lost. Kaku rushed into the room soon after she had fainted, because he had heard her screams. When he saw the bloody scene he stood still with a shocked face, not sure what to do.

Remembering that scene made Kaku feel uncomfortable even now. He couldn't ignore the pain that Eva felt and was probably still feeling deep inside her. He didn't want to tell that story to Caty, at least not in such detail.

! In the meantime Eva was trying to bring back some happy memmories, even though they brought with them the bad ones aswell. She was thinking of Iceburg and the workers, about Anna and all the other people she knew. She was a bit surprised when a funny young man Bobby came to her mind. He wasn't originaly from Water 7, but he lived with his aunt, who wasn't muc at home so he had the house to himself. everyone knew him as the rather spoiled guy who didn't care much about his family honor. Because of such behavoiur he also left home and went to live with his aunt, who didn't mind his sort of dandy like life style. Eva first met him at a restaurant and later she also attended one of his many parties held at his aunt home, when she was away. She didn't feel to comfortable at his party, but remembering it now brought a nice feeling with it. It was funny even to her that she started to like Bobby, who was a complete opposite to her and her life (her real one and the onse she had to play).

I'm so so so sorry, for not posting for so long. I've had a lot to do, sorry.
But I managed to write a short chapter, which mainly revolves around two of mine fictional characters added to the One piece world. I hope you will like them and the chapter. Get readdy for some flash backs in the next chapter.

! CHAPTER 10: Bobby
! *in Water 7
! The weather was getting worse and the Aqua Laguna was drawing nearer every minute. Although it was raining heavily, the fire at the Galley-La company was getting bigger and bigger. People from the city left their homes in order to help the workers put out the fire.
But at this tragic night there was only one house, where you could hear people laughing and loud music played. It was the house of the rather wealthy townsman Oscar, whom his friends preferred to call Ossy. He was a chubby man with dark red hair, who enjoyed nothing more than beauty and joy. Tonight it was the time for one of his private parties, when he could forget about the world and people around him and bring some life and fun to his big and lonely house.
Ossy was relaxing on his cosy chair, surrounded by women in provoking clothes, while the small number of men, were having fun on their own at the bar. Ossy gave one of the ladies a charming look, when he reached for his glass of wine. In return he got a charming smile, but as soon as he had received it, his eyes got sight of a beautiful brunette, sitting opposite him. Once his glass was empty, he called out to the men to bring him some more wine, but they didn’t seem to hear his request. On the other hand, the women were all ready to get him what he had asked for. He had a hard time picking one, but fortunately there was a loud knocking on the door. Ossy grew white and looked at the old clock on the wall. Did someone report him to the police, for being too noisy at a late hour? He got up and ordered to turn off the music. Once the music was turned off, everyone stopped talking and waited for the worst to happen. Ossy made some deep breaths before he went to the door. The knocking hadn’t stopped all that time. He saw that there was only one man in front of the door, so he opened them boldly. When he saw Bobby, he exclaimed: “No worry guys, it’s just Bobby!”
He grabbed his friends hand and dragged him into the hall. “Ossy, I need help,” said Bobby, who didn’t seem to want to be in the house.
“Of course you do. Look at you! Where did you forget your umbrella? Did that red-haired girl kick you out again?”
“Which girl?” For a moment Bobby was caught in one of their typical conversations about women, but than he got serious again. “Oh, you and your jokes! There is no time for that! The Galley-La Company on fire.”
Ossy nodded, but you could see in his eyes that he didn’t understand what his friend was trying to tell him and that he didn’t really feel interested in the things he had to say either.
“Pull yourself together!” Bobby slightly slapped his friend twice on the cheeks. “The company is on fire, we need to help them.”
“The company is on fire?” Ossy repeated his words in a mistrusted way.
“Oh, yes! How many times do I have to say it?!” Bobby was becoming impatient now and Ossy gave him a strict look. Once he had examined his friend from head to toes, he said in a disappointed manner: “Forget her already, lover boy. She’s with that pigeon guy now.”
“What? No. I mean, yes.”
“You’re disappointed in love, so what. You must move on, and I have the perfect medicine for that,” Ossy grabbed his hand and wanted to lead him deeper into the house, but his friend refused to move from his spot in the hall. When their eyes met, you could feel a little bit of tension between the two friends.
“They are our friends. Remember all the times we partied together.”
Ossy didn’t say anything in answer, he just turned away and walked back to his friends, who had already turned the music back on. Bobby watched him disappear into the room, from where he heard happy cheers of Ossy’s guests, who welcomed the host back to the party. But than the music was gone and Ossy said in a serious voice: “The party is over. We’ll continue tomorrow evening, because tonight, we have a fire in the Galley-La company.”
Some people gasped, but the majority didn’t seam to fully understand what they heard, due to the amount of alcohol they’ve drunk. Ossy noticed their confused looks, but he didn’t feel wasting his time with them, so he said: “Ok. The ones who want to come with me and help our friends, go outside, the ones, who don’t really know, what this is all about, can stay here.”
The drunk guests accepted the offer with smiles on their faces and some vague words of happiness.
Ossy grabbed his coat and hat and left the house with Bobby, who happily squeezed his friends hand. They didn’t wait for any of the others to join them, they ran down the street as fast as they could.
“So … Bobby, how exactly are we going to help?”
Bobby looked at his friend with a puzzled face, realising that he didn’t really have a plan. “We’ll see what they’ll need. But first we need to get there.”
That kind of answer was enough to satisfy Ossy that night.
! With the help of the townsmen and the Black Rose pirates, the fire was put out in a couple of hours. Some of the workers were wounded, but not from the fire, but from the fight with the CP9 members. Bobby, who was full of dirt, was walking around, looking at the wounded workers, but he didn’t feel like asking them, where Eva is. He remained silent till he saw Paulie. He called out his friends name and ran over to him.
Paulie was sitting on the ground getting his wounds treated by a fellow worker. Bobby kindly inquired after his health, before asking what he really wanted to know. Ossy had come to his friends, when Bobby asked his question. Paulie mad an angry yet sad face.
“What happened? How is she?” Bobby asked with a pale face, fearing that something bad has happened to her.
“Do you two really live in your own world?” Paulie asked with a harsh voice. And hearing something like that from a person, who liked to spend his evening at parties, made both Bobby and Ossy feel depressed.
And as if those harsh words weren’t enough, Paulie added, with a disgusted expression in his eyes: “She betrayed us all. That damn … women,” he struggled not to say the word he had in mind. “She was with the government all the time.”
Bobby couldn’t stand those words anymore, so he grabbed Paulie by his collar. But before he could punch him in the face, like he wanted to, Ossy pulled him away.
“What’s with you?”
Bobby didn’t answer to Ossy, but Paulie: “Don’t speak of her like that!”
Paulie shouted back at him: “I saw it with my eyes, the symbol on her arm and I heard her confess it with my own ears!”
Bobby remained seated on the ground, where Ossy had thrown him, thinking about all the words that were dancing around in his head. For a moment he remembered the night, when he had seen something like that symbol on Eva’s arm, but he couldn’t believe that she was playing a game all these years – at least not that time. He was sure that he had spent his days with the real person, she was, not the one she pretended to be.
