Ugh, Watchmen is a movie I'll never watch again. It looks expensive and like a comic for certain, but the message feels outmoded to me. Man could guess who the murderer of the Comedian was instantly and why was the need of dr. Manhattan babbling naked in most of his scenes. Oh and I'll never forget the thigh-high boots of Danie/owl, nice legs or not.

I never say that I like a movie without having seen it. I've actually seen NCFOM around 3 or 4 times.

I've only seen the Godfather twice, and its not my genre or my kind of movie, but it is pretty much universally agreed upon as one of the greatest films of all time and it was very good, and if I ever had time to sit down and watch both it and part 2 in one sitting (about 7 hours) I probably would, I've wanted to set aside a day for that for some time.

But Godfather is just the long movie you picked, its really not my genre. There's also Lawrence of Arabia. Or Casablanca. Or Ben Hur. Those are all about 4 hours long. All incredibly long movies, but very good.

But that's being unfair, listing the greatest cinema of all time. Here's some others.
Shakespeare in Love. Casablanca. Terminator. (The first one ONLY.) Risky Business. Betty Blue. Robin & Marion. Star Wars. The Empire Strikes Back. Prelude to a Kiss. Jungle Book. One Hundred and One Dalmations (the animated version). Some Like it Hot. Henry V. Much Ado About Nothing. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Ran. The Third Man. Citizen Kane. Unforgiven. Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The Great Mouse Detective. Wrath of Khan. From Russia With Love. Rear Window. Singing in the Rain. Stripes. Ghostbusters (the first one only). Vertigo. And many, many more…

Again, that's being unfair, listing the best stuff around.

Honestly. I'd rather watch nearly anything over an Adam Sandler movie in its entirety.

few people can sit through Space Odyssey…it was an instant classic for obvious reasons but that is a movie that requires more patience than There Will Be Blood or No Country For Old Men...

You forgot Batman&Robin.. I mean its freaking awesome! It has George Clooney as super cool batman, Sexy BATWOMAN and sexy Uma Thurman…and omg omg Arnold Swarzenegger as Mr.Freeze! Holy shit its awesome movie I really watch it atleast once a week.

Yeah, pretty much. He got the look of the film and a lot of the dialouge right, but thats not hard when the comic already storyboarded it. He missed a lot of the actual content and only got the surface.

Sorry to break this thread's train of thought and all but I just saw some really weird. I'm watching Scare Tactics on SyFy and this commercial comes one. I wasn't really paying attention so I'm not sure what it was for but it kept flashing with different scenes from movies playing in the background when it flashed. One part in particular was the scene from Fast Times at Ridgemont High where the girl gets out of the pool but it cut before the entire scene played out. It was really weird :wassat: .

And about Watchmen I think Zack Snyder tried too hard to be faithful to the comic and ended up making me get a weird feeling that I really can't describe (but it's certainly not a positive one)

Also to who asked the differences between V movie and comic, the main ones are

The filmmakers removed many of the anarchist themes and drug references present in the original story and also altered the political message to what they believed would be more relevant to a 2006 audience, there's probably more (but I am highly opposed to me making long post)
