this is why the sand ninja have always been one of the best teams in the series. THEY GET IT!!! They realize there is a world outside of their little team. They realize that the world has rules and more important things going on than petty grudges.
Gaara steps in, says his peace, realizes it's fucking pointless to reason with a moron. Kankuro even said it best ("Naruto couldn't do it, what chance of turning Sasuke do we have?") so then… in one panel, Gaara realizes his role, the importance of his role, and how his actions at that very moment affects more than just "past relationships" and takes ACTION!! Hell they even let one of the Raikage's henchmen join in the fight... none of that "this is our fight" bullshit... it's more like "Hey let's gang up on this guy and kill the shit out of him"
To bad that Sasuke's darkness is too powerful (OH NOES!!)
That's what grinds my gears too. Since when did Sasuke just become flat out evil? I know what your thinking, but to me he's always been teetering on the edge, being used as a misguided puppet that some readers and Naruto hope will just snap out of it after a little battling and LOTS of talking.
But just like Naruto suddenly becomming the strongest ninja in the village, Kishi seems to be forcing this new change on us.
DARKNESS!!! SASUKE IS DIFFERENT!!! HIS DARKNESS IS TOO STRONG!!!
Where's the fucking exposition!?!? Sasuke's sudden evil nature just came outta no where!
