I did not ignore anything. Swordsmen are clearly not the top dogs in the One Piece Universe. There could very easily be, and all indications are that there indeed is, quite a few people more powerful than the greatest swordsmen. We still don't know if shanks is a swordman or not. If not the question remains why he duelled so much with mihawk in the past?

In regards to the "I want to test how far I am away from him", I don't see how that is definitely "I am far away from him, I want to see how much weaker" as opposed to him basically saying he wants to test himself against Whitebeard. It seems to me like when people Whitebeard's "You are 100 years to tell me what to do" comment against Shanks to say Whitebeard is 100+ years old.
As for Jozu blocking an attack (which was long ranged and went through quite a few meters of ice), nothing really says that if Jozu can block it, Whitebeard can also.

Why the Dog isn't garp, so they'll shut up.
Difference n1: Garp's chin beard has a portion that goes up to his lip, whilst the dog guy's does not. The upper portion of his chin is visible and hairless.
Difference n2: Garp's beard is a goatee, which means it encloses the mouth and chin, but does not cover the entire jawline. The dog guy's does. The beard goas all the way up it's jawbone and then it is unclear whether or not it continues framing the face upwards.
Difference n3: Garp's usual shirt colour is dark blue, or black in the manga, and the dog guy's is white. You could say he changed his shirt since the last chapter for some reason, but no.
Stop whining.
P.S: The guy in the middle-right of the same panel is the coolest mutha so far. Love the stache.

There's no mathematic stregth's equation in this Manga, So I think that Mihawk can be at the same level of a Yonkou, but weaker than whitebeard!We know that shanks fought against him years ago, and before the foosha incident they were nearly at the same level.

I'm always weary of single line proclamations such as the "strongest man in the world" when we haven't even seen what all these people are capable of. For all we know it could be hype from a bygone era when he and Roger battled on the seas. But yes, he could be the strongest.
BUT, even if he is, it can't be by a considerable amount, right? Or else, why hasn't he rampaged through the NW and made Ace the PK already? because there are three other pirates and three crews, and since we know these guys never work together, we know they must all be capable of competing with each other. Hence the "roughly equal" claim i made. It makes sense, doesn't it?

What? Nameless character always beat named characters, I thought this much was a given. Yeah, it's possible that some of these guys will develop a personality, but right now the only purpose they serve is awesome page spreads and fights amongst the nameless marines. That's common logic.
What i'm saying is to write them off based on character design at this point makes no sense, as character design is not something Oda generally uses in less or greater modesty on characters relative to their importance/strength. And you can't say they're nameless characters. They are literally brand new, and were introduced in a clusterfuck of activity.
I'm pretty tired of hearing "10 years have passed since then," when the author and story have done nothing to indicate that anything has changed between those characters in that time. I'm also tired of people assuming that everything has changed in tens years, because after twisting this fact really what's the point of using it anymore? It was supposed to mean that Shanks and Mihawk have some kind of connection, but now it's become worthless.
It doesn't matter if you're tired of hearing it, it's an important fact. You say Oda hasn't done anything to indicate any change, but he hasn't done anything to indicate that they haven't changed either. Actually, to say the author of the story has done nothing to indicate that nothing has changed is plain incorrect, i'd say. Unless you think Shanks was the same pirate back then even before he presumably entered the Grand Line for the first time as captain as he is now when he's a Yonkou, and that Mihawk has been considered the greatest for a decade and counting, and a million other things.
To assume nothing has changed, especially when the two hold positions that are seemingly in a great disparity in terms of power required, while possible, is just much to big a leap for me to comfortably take.
And why is the connection rendered worthless in the face of development? They can have an import connection without being equals on the battlefield.

I won't deny that. I'm a bit of a fopish nerd when it comes to discussing my manga.
Part of the fun of this war is that everyone is after Whitebeard's head, and one display of power shouldn't be enough to make you assume that "none of them are contenders." Just because two tidal waves can wreck a building doesn't mean much in a one on one fight. This war has just started, you can't know the conclusion yet. That'd be boring. "Yonkou Level," "shichibukai level" are all arbitrary facts in this war.
Like i said, i've assumed non of them are "contenders" for a while (with the possible exception of BB in the future).
And i don't think i know the conclusion at all.
It's especially early to draw a conclusion from Mihawk throwing one nameless attack that was ultimately a white blur and a few speed lines. Really, under that assumption it's just as fair to assume that Ao Kiji and Kizaru used their strongest attacks since they were attacking the World's Strongest Man, yet we know that's not the case since we've seen Ao and Kizaru use stronger moves. The only difference with Mihawk is we've never seen him seriously attack before.
Of course we can't know for sure at all, and that attack could just as easily been intended as the opening strike instead of the killing blow. I'm just saying that to label his attack as meaningless and not serious doesn't really make sense i don't think. Mihawk wanted to test himself against someone he considers superior to himself, so why would he not give it his all from the get go? And for Oda to not even let that attack get trough, to have an underling intercept it and and not even let the test commence, i think that's rather telling.
Also, if you're going to speculate about Mihawk…could you at least have some fun with it? I actually think you're trying to prove Mihawk is weaker then Whitebeard...ya loser! (besides I already assume that. However, I enjoy assuming that they're both worthy opponents for each other). You could be attempting to make Kishido or Neomaster freak out, but no. You have a point to prove. Lame.
It might not seem this way, but i love Mihawk. I'm a Mihawk fan. You say i'm trying to prove WB is stronger than Mihawk, and that's exactly what i am trying to do, just because that's the way i think it is in reality. And even though i love Mihawk and look forward to anything he's gonna do in the manga, it's just part of my personality to try and make the realities of the situation as i see them as apparent as possible. That's just the way i am, and it's probably a negative personality trait and takes a certain sort of arrogance, but i'm just trying to get the truth as the best as we can understand it out.
