Yes, this happenned to me recently.
Damn this wonderful manga.
I recently shouted very loudly Chotto Mate Kudasai to a bus. He didn't understand obviously, but he saw a person waving and running after him and stopped. I calmly got into the bus, thanked the driver and pretended that nothing happenned.
This was a sign of too much OP, but it worked. I firmly believe that, had I shouted Espera or Frena I would've gotten shafted.
