I use a program called BSPlayer to take screenshots. You hit the "P" key on the keyboard (I think that was it…somebody can correct me if I'm wrong) and it saves a screenshot in the folder.

Yeah, That works as well! I use the Windows Media Player method. You take an episode, Example from episode 119. You press pause at the part that you want to make a screenshot, and you press control+i . Something will then come up to name your screenshot, and then you choose the destination folder to send to and Presto! you have yourself a screenshot, The windows media player way.

What folder, your folder or the BS folder? If the BSPlayer folder, then where is it?

Ok, I just tested it out. Here's what happens on mine:
Opened BSPlayer folder, opened the BSPlayer program, opened a video file using BSPlayer, hit the "p" key while the video was playing…it saved a picture file automatically in the same BSPlayer folder.
If you need me to, I'll take screenshots of my computer screen in steps showing what to do.
Yes please could you do that, it will be greatly appreciated._

Ok, first make sure you have BSPlayer (it's a free download available on some website…just search google or something to find it).
Then, you might have to unzip it (not sure)...use winzip or whatever file extractor thing that your computer came with (or download the free winzip if you have to from their website). My computer has an "extract all files" option that appears whenever you open up a zipped folder.
Now, here are the steps I made:
Hope this helps. If not, let me know.
-
That helped but for some reason, I don't have a BSPlayer folder, sorry. So How do I get or create one. Sorry I didn't clear this up earlier but didn't found time for it.
-
Well, you downloaded BSPlayer from the company's website right? Was it in a zipped folder when you got it?
I guess you can just make a new folder though (right click anywhere on the desktop, and click "new folder" or something similar to that…) and then put the BSPlayer program in there.

I am so sorry. I was gone for a month and a half so reply as soon as you can. Alright, No I didn't have a zipped folder when I had it. So, I get a folder when I zip the BSplayer download or what? Also, How do I add a BSplayer program to the folder(just curious).
Question about the windows media method(anyone could answer this). Is there any requirements to that like a folder, new media player, what, cause I have windows media player 9 and tryed that method lots of times and nothing popped up, sorry just need to know. -
Did you install Bsplayer correctly? You should just get the installer directly and install it. The link to the exe is http://www3.bsplayer.org/5d203fd948efbeb74e277572dcc54f77/bsplayer132.820.exe .If you did, you can go to Options -> Preference and you should see the screen below. Set the folder to the correct location and you will be able to find any screenshots "taken with the hotkey 'P'" there.
Similarly, you can take screenshots of anything with the key "Print Scrn" (it's on the right of F12) and the screen will be captured onto your clipboard. Just go to any program and paste it (CTRL + V) and you will get it. You need to change this setting in windows media player to make this work though: (god it's been a while since I opened Windows Media Player)
And I'm moving this to the help forum to create some life there
(You need to set Video Acceleration to None)

You know how DVD's have images in image galleries sometimes? Well, how the heck do you rip those? I tried ripping the screen shot by pressing "PrintscreenSysRq" but for some odd reason, when I save it, the image is gone after I open it
I hope this is allowed to be discussed… but does any one here know how the hell you rip those images? X_X

if you're using Windows Media Player to play the DVD, then you need to pause when you want to take the picture, then press ctrl+i. It'll open up a prompt asking you where you want to save the screen shot.
If you're using another program, check the help files on how that program takes screenshots. Pressing the prt scr button generally doesn't work here.

well, I can't use windows, for some reason it refuses to play with windows cuase of copy right protection
I have to use PowerDVD, but that does nothing… >_< it has only help on settings, not ripping screen shots

or you can use spx which is a cool soft that allows you to take any screenshots the size you want. it works like printscreen but it works for videos as well. well, it's not a free soft, you see what i mean

honnestly, find spx, crack it and use it. it'll make a screencap the size you want. you'll just have to pause the vid you're playing.
if you definitely can't find it, pm me and i should be able to do something for you.

Any one else know another program to rip screen caps from DVD's? I tried windows media player, but it has a damn protection thing that stops it from playing DVD's… and then theres the Power play DVD 6, however, when ever I click on the icon to open the program it does not turn on what so ever. I tried the SPX thing, but it captures everything on screen EXCEPT the DVD screen shot... it just comes out as a black sqaure...
any one else got any idea's?

Eh strawhat that link to the bsplayer is a dud, but theres a BSPlayer version 1.35. should i download the installer type or ZIP type?

Installer is generally recommended cos it makes things easier.
