Funimation went in the wrong direction. I remember when funimation announced they were going to dub One Piece and they said they were going to work hard to make it the best show and deliver us fans something awsome. Unfortunatly that was their downfall. There target audience for One Piece, were the One Piece fans and not America in general. You know what hardcore American anime fans are like right? they are the stereotypical emo's and nerds from high school. Remember our population is like 16% of high school stereotypical nerds and emos.
Although I got to say, the Funi dub was pretty good. Luffy's and Ussop's were the only annoying voices. That's what turned me off and other fans and casual fans too. That's why it lost the deal with Cartoon Network(probally). The problem is Funimation has to keep those two voice actors because they were the same actors from Dragon Ball Z(you know out of respect).
Most of us are so happy that funi dubs One piece and that they stopped the horrible 4kids from dubbing. The fans are so happy that they failed to realize that Luffy's and Ussop's voice SUCK. So only a handfull of us complained to Funimation and said those voices sucked. If the we came together and wanted One piece to be the best show in America, then would complain about those voice actors. This will work to. Remember, the only reason why 4kids stopped was because their were many fans that complained about it.
One Piece has the potential to be the best show of all time. Whether it's a dub or not. One Piece is number 1 or close to it in Japan, but in America it's down to the bottom. We should help make this show rise and make it the best.
