To explain… Lafiette got horrible raped in round 1 by Shushu... so I thought I'd draw him rooting Luffy on because he hates ShuShu so much... but Luffy has no idea who this freak is and you guys know Shushu is Luffy's friend so this was my best attempt at a campaign x__x; I'm much better at drawing endings that suck for matches xD ah well... enjoy my ms paint doodle poo -

This is tough… Shushu left no impact on me whatsoever besides being a good dog for the Buggy pirates to kick (TV Trope reference), while Luffy, as I've said before, is way too similar to Son Goku for comfort...

No, not always, I just let it influence me a lot. There is not going to be any significant campaigning for this match, and if there is it's silly. I certainly doubt anyone is going to come in here and start dissing Luffy.
This is just one of those matches that was over the day that it was drawn.

Also, ShuShu just made me realize. Oda never does tiny side stories like that anymore, nor really did after him. Kinda sad, seeing how just this one had such an impact.

Laboon don't count, and the other two weren't really at the levels of ShuShu. But I guess you're right. Still, Long Ring Long Land was a long time ago.

Luffy is going to end this wth at LEAST 300 votes, and the best Shu Shu can really hope for is probably 100, and it'll probably end up closer to 350-50.
I wanna give the dog the dog a vote, cause it doesn't matter, I really do. But at this juncture, its starting to be REAL matches where the victor really does matter as to who will go the next round.
If I don't vote sincerely now, how can my vote truly count when it comes time for things like Bon Kurei vs. Zoro? We're in the later stages of character popularity poll, where each vote does start to truly matter, and so I must now put aside my lulzing ways, and truly vote for the character I like best, and not just the one with a fun gimmick or underdog status or pity point to make the score a little less of a slaughter.
Luffy is a great shonen hero, dramatic and touching and heartfelt, and the best the genre has done, and he's the main character and I always enjoy his antics and stuff.
Luffy is going to win this easily. But I can't genuinely vote against him. Not even for shu shu, valiant campaign though he's ut up so far.
Perhaps… just perhaps this one round... I will not vote at all. Luffy still wins, I don't vote against ShuShu, and I don't taint my honest support. Yeah. Thats how its gonna have to be. Sorry guys.
