hahahaha thats like in the episode before when Sanji is kicking the crap out of fullbody and they use the line directly from the viz translation "Customers are the lifeblood of the restaurant" "so why is HIS lifeblood coming out of him" (not exact but you get the point XP) in spite of the fact that all the blood had been wiped clean.

Didn't they say the shoes were dyed red in the 4shame dub? This episode was more of dialoge than action. The wierd thing was the title Red-footed Pirate with the close up of Zeff even though they call him red shoes the Pirate in the episode. I wonder though, will Mihawk be the Major Train wreck of all train wreck or do we have to wait for Arlong for him to be major train wreck of 4shame, Hope they don't go as far as Alabasta.

I wonder what Mihawk vs. Zoro will be like without any blood. :unsure:
I just hope 4Kids dump One Piece after their 52 episodes run out. One Piece is after all one of the lowest rated(if not, THE lowest rated) shows on Saturday mornings.

okay i missed todays episode (forgot to set up the tv to record it) i just want to know if they actualy started the mihawk and zoro fight or is that next week. because this battle is the start of all seriouse battles really in the series and i want to know if there is any hope left.

The fight might take place next week even though there wasn't a preview for it. The next episode will be entitled according to my digital cable box is "The Better Swordsman", We all know who that refering, the only one who doesn't is probaly a little kid.

One Piece might do better on Toonami, but like Rave Master and Astro Boy, no kids gonna watch it on any channel(even children know that the English version of One Piece is horrid voice-acting and filled with choppy edits).
4Kids are (honestly) targeting the wrong age group in America with their version of One Piece. I've never seen/met an American "child" who was interested in this series. American kids/tots just don't like One Piece.

The only hope 4kids have with One Piece are the un-cut DVDs,(They might make some money off of those) unless, they screw that up too.

Yu-Gi-Oh! ends this winter, and it is going to be interesting to see what 4kids do to try and replace it.(and eat kids/their parents wallets)
Just look at the Shaman King CCG and video games, they blew up and flopped (hard).
4kids are desperate to milk a "popular" product and they've failed with Shaman King. 4kids would (probably) have similar results with their One Piece merchandise(kids/tots just won't buy it, they'd rather spend their money on a pack of Yu-Gi-Oh!) American children just aren't One Piece fans(just look at its ratings on 4kids tv…pathetic)

Whether 4kids drop One Piece or not is up to them. If no one watches it(like Astro Boy on Toonami), the smartest thing for 4kids to do is drop it or give it to someone who can take it seriously. Doing that will save 4kids money, and stop the war in Iraq.

Heard of this petition about getting a re-dub for Toonami? Even though the petition might not work and there area a few signatures, It was on One Piece uncensored site. Here the website adress if your intrested in it:

Well like you said the Shaman King games flopped hard here in america, but just look at the anime its already at season two and still going, so for One Piece it's proboally gonna happen also. To me the One Piece dub is not any worser then all the other anime that 4Kids get their hands on. Their all fairly bad. So the dub may drive us away, but for the little kids who watch the show I think it's not so much the dub they don't like, but maybe they don't like the actual series. Like when I talk about the show kids don't say they don't like the voices or the edits they say they don't like how the characters look like, saying that they look weird. Lets face it, kids these days in america are more interested in cartoons dealing with monsters and stuff like that. And since Shaman King is still giving new episodes, I just dont think 4Kids is going to drop One Piece, no matter how bad in ratings it's doing.

Are little kids interested in cartoons with morals in it? I think that children today should be smacked for being dumb. But then Again, Kids copmplain alot. So little kids don't like the characters looks eh, show me where these kids are. I like the way they look, I don't like the voices and bad edits.

i think the only reason i watch the dubbed one piece is because i want to
compare it. but sometimes i look away when some stupid change is made

I like the look of One Piece too, but i'm just sayin that the characters from One Piece don't look like the stereotypical anime characters that little kids are acostumed too. You know since they don't have OVERLY spiky hair and such. I don't know what goes on in the heads of kids these days, but I do know we live in a very stereotypical world..

Thats okay…but they left out the blood part.
I was actually rewatching all of 4shames work and I noticed something, they said Cabaji was Buggys first mate. These guys dont know crap. I signed that petition and I'll pray that the series gets better.

TMNT is different, which it is following the comics, Yes they do fight. It violent is torn down little. The scene when Shedder kill Hamato Yoshi, they never show him stabbing Yoshi, but he did kill him. The original comics was more darker and violent.

4kids isn't racist that they edit thing Japanese. it just that. American are not familar with Japanese culture.

I do not know if you know this, but One Piece and Shaman King follow comics as well.
No reason to butcher it. One Piece is Japanese, but the content rarely has anything to do with Japan(they are pirates, they do not live in Japan.) One Piece doesn't show Japanese things like other anime series do.

Also, 4kids changed Zoro's name just to get the show on TV faster.
(I've spoken with Roz from 4kids through mail and he said that they could have Zoro's name, but that due to similarities the show would of had to wait to air on tv if they had the name Zoro.) I would not have minded waiting(it would have given more time for a better dub) Well, let's just wait for it to come out un-cut and see what they do then.

But they realise that the rushing the dub seem and is horrible, After all Rushing it make it seem that they didn't care about the product, I mean horrible voices with no emotions, bad editing decisions, and horrible script.

Have you notive that every arc suffer from a pun of some sort. Here what I mean

Morgan Arc: Sea terms
Buggy Arc: Circus Puns
Kuro Arc: Cats and Veggies puns
Don Kreig Arc: Cooking Pun

And I thinlk that When they get up to Arlong it will suffer from Fish puns, My reason see www.4kids.tv website one piece section and click on Arlong they renamed his Pirate Fleet.

Acutually they give you the impresion that thats blood on Zeff's shoe. Kreig said that "his oppponents often dying his shoes red, thats how he got the GRUSOME nickname Red Shoes the pirate." Im implying that when he said grusome, he meant that it's blood on his shoe..

I think that all of 4Kids dubs are the same, they all go through alot of editing, they all got annoying voices, their all the same. The only dubs i can think of that they have done that they don't have to change much is Pokemon and Kirby…

True, they do have Yu-Gi-Oh! GX to do, but it fails in comparison to Yu-Gi-Oh! Since all the characters change. But the little kids won't know that it is any different because they only care about the monsters anyway. Yu-Gi-Oh! (the Pharaoh) leaves at the end of Yu-Gi-Oh!. And Without Yu-Gi-Oh! (the Pharaoh) how can you have a good Yu-Gi-Oh show!???

Here's another reason I think 4Kids are not letting go of One Piece, If you go to TvTome's One Piece page it says that One Piece has been scedueld to have a season two by 4Kids.

Ah yet you forgot about the purple dragons, the foot soldiers being human, and the fact that Baxter Stockman is in fact dead in the sense that he's basically a robot now. He's also been a brain in a jar and what not too.

So TMNT still get's away with far more than any of 4shame's animes.

Well at least for One Piece they leave in the fight scenes. Other anime such as Yu-gi-oh where they cut out some scenes involving Joey and Tristen fighting, arn't so lucky….

I saw them somewhere once before. I'll have to find it again. Last I saw, the ratings were really poor. Like, one of the worst rated shows on Saturday morning.

Yeah.. they proboally won't show any blood but they might leave the scars on him. They can just edit out the redness so the scars dont look bloody.
