All these changes to scar positions, and different shoes (Ace), etc., could also be a suggestion by the editor or something. I mean i dont think that oda would be that forgetful about details. Hes been doing this for a long time now. Also to the avg reader its really not a big deal, its only to us hardcore fans who think of it as a huge issue.
Croc's hand was the most obvious mistake I've ever seen Oda make. This mistake would be of similar magnitude. There's a decent chance that he does have a reason that he hasn't given us.

Sorry if this has been gone over before, but is Luffy being introduced to Dadan for the first time? How does he already have his Strawhat? Is this a bigger mistake? Everyone mentions his proportions but to me this seems like the more glaring incongruity.

I've already mentioned this in the Chapter Discussion thread, but Kuma was the only Shichibukai in Marineford who was not seen until after the gates opened. With his power, he could pull it off.

I remember there was an image going around with Aokiiji with a hockey stick saying something like"ice haki" and was to be posted when haki was mentioned in a silly manner. Someone should post it again since WB has provoked a new line of "ambition" madness.
I will admit, a bunch of those New World pirates' designs look way better than they did in the spoiler pics. Mainly Doma, and the third one from the right on the two-page spread.

I hope WB wasn't really trying to raise Ace as the future PK. I don't know but Ace seems more like a Shanks sort of pirate laid back but courteous whereas ironically Luffy is more of Roger sort of pirate in that he likes to do all sorts of crazy dangerous things. In my opinion Ace just doesn't have the mindset, but maybe he did before he joined WB and it will come back after this war is over( though that seems kind of lame to me).

Also, did Luffy meet Shanks before Dadan? Seems so as, however young he looks, he has the scar and the hat.

Wow, battles now are going to be pretty epic, i suspect we'll see WB vs Sengoku, two people i've very interested to see fight. I wonder who Marco and Jozu will fight, that'll be interesting too. Heck it'll all be amazing to see, so many new abilites, powers and match-ups... Thing is, someone has to die this time round, that's the reality of pirate v navy life, and Oda hasn't really let us experience character losses.
Erm, i hope luffy looks young due to the angle, because that's shanks' hat but he looks 5.

Garp also made reference to leaving Ace and Luffy in the care of a friend to be made into great Marines. This chapter reveals that Garp left Ace to Dadan to raise after he was born and when Luffy was 7 or so, Garp brought him to Dadan as well.

The Mihawk/Boa thing wasn't a mistake it was a perspective shot, Boa and Mihawk were in the foreground and closer to our view pt, whereas the marine was more in the background and closer to the vanishing pt. Kuma, Doflamingo, and Moria were also pretty close to the vanishing pt because they're already huge, I think Oda just used this perspective trick to symbolise the power/importance of the shichi in comparison to that marine.
And whether you believe or not is up to you, but Shanks did say he brought healing sake back when he visited WB, so thats 1 possibility for his scar disappearing, though I thought it was a figure of speech at the time.

BB knew WB's plan, he kept some followers in WB's crew that told him how WB would attack. That's the reason why he settled to arrive from behind, through the Gates of Justice. Plus he got some reinforcement in ID.
Unless it's a third force that predicted the way WB would attack, and we'll discover another hundreds of ships right behind Luffy !
I like the idea around Garp and Sengoku being former admirals, the less powerful of them now is Garp who took a more relaxed life and Sengoku… he doesn´t seem to be affected by the years like he is eternally young.
If Sengoku is a "Buddha" then he must have achieved a type of Haki different than the usual one and the "Conqueror King", this Haki not only increases the strenght but makes the person who has it able to do the following things:
-He takes the years more slowly then others.
-It is very hard to wound them
-Nearly Invicible to the illness.
The other person who could have this type of Haki is Shirohige, this help him to live all this time at the top and make the wound made by Roger something very remarkable.
A fight between Sengoku and Shirohige could be interesting, I can imagine the old man being like Nightmare Luffy but without time limit and with Haki, making a spectacular entrance and being only stopped by Sengoku.
Yeah Sengoku is like 60+ years old and doesn't age at all.

I didn't read all 18 pages of this topic so I don't know if this has been mentioned, but anyone else think maybe Boa Hancock opened the gates? It's possible that she could have used her Mero Mero Beamon the men, which is how the marines lost contact with them.
But…then again I could be completely wrong because she is seen with the rest of the Shichikubai.
when it comes to a shibukai,the only one who might have done that is kuma,since he can teleport in and out in seconds and he can also teleport all the ppl that were in the room…
