Inb4 "ITS OVER 9000"
Anyways, so we have a "Shichibukai Strenght" thread, which is pretty well known around here (and infamous too).
This one is basically that, except that:
Its about everyone, and not just about the Shichibukais.
So, the Shichibukai Strenght one is allowed, so this one should be allowed too (I think, besides, it doesn't go against any rule of this forum).
Anyways, I started this thread manly for the Marines, because of one discussion me and Thousand Lion Chan had.
–----------------------------
So, I said that Momonga could defeat Boa Hancock.
The reason why I believed that Momonga could, in fact, defeat Boa Hancock, was because he is a Vice-Admiral, one step below the Admirals, men that are able to freeze an entire ocean and give a kick at the speed of light.
It was also because we saw ao powerful Garp is with him throwing a gattling of Cannonballs using his hands and then a cannonball bigger than a boat of the marine and the Thousand Sunny together.
On the other hand, Thousand Lion Chan believes that Boa Hancock, as a Shichibukai, is much more powerful than a Vice Admiral and could defeat them easily.
Well, this is fine by itself, because Boa Hancock is a shichibukai, however, here's my grip with this:
Here are the rankings of the Marines:
-Fleet Admiral
-Admirals
-Vice-Admirals
-Rear-Admirals
-Commodore
-Captain
-Commander
-Lieutenant Commander
-Lieutenant
-Lieutenant Junior Grade
-Ensign
-Chief Warrant Officer
-Master Chief Petty Officer
-Chief Petty Officer
-Petty Officer
-Seaman
-Seaman Apprentice
-Seaman Recruit
-Apprentice
-Chore Boy
Now, about the Fleet Admiral and the Admirals, I don't think I need to tell you anything, so... Here are the Vice Admirals:
-Garp
-Tsuru
-John Giant
-Komir (The one from the Cover Story of Ace)
-Momonga (The one who started the discussion)
-Strawberry
-Yamakaji
-Doberman
-Onigumo
-Jaguar D Saul (Now deceased)
About the Rear Admirals, only one was found, and he's not there anymore, he's now a Pirate, X. Drake
About the Commodores:
-We saw Pudding Pudding
-And saw Smoker
About the captains:
-We saw Captain Morgan
-We saw Captain Nezumi
-We saw Hina
-We saw T-Bone
-We saw Very Good
-We saw Shuu
-We saw Sharinguru
Now, onto the review of them:
-Sengoku was never seen fighting, altough we know he was an Admiral before, which must mean he was powerful before?
-AoKij was seen freezing an Ocean and freezing persons, also, making swords out of ice and flying as particles of Ice.
-Kizaru was seen going at the speed of light, kicking at the speed of light, creating explosions and arrows from his fingers and being able to fly as light.
-We saw nothing of Akainu, besides the fact that he's a jerk with the "Kill 100 to save 1000" mentality.
-We saw Garp using giant cannonballs to attack using his hands.
-We saw Tsuru in the reunion with the 3 Shichibukais, she seems very smart, altough reserved.
-We saw John the Giant as a fucking giant. he also seems to order people around.
-We saw Komir drinking Cofee, we know however he has 2 big ass swords that are pretty badass.
-Strawberry was seen saving the Marines from Enies Lobby, nothing else.
-Yamakaji was seen smilling "Smilu da, Smiiiiillu"
-Doberman was seen saying that Lucci would do the job fine and there was no need for them to act.
-We saw Onigumo being like Aka Inu, not much else.
-We saw Momonga being badass and cutting giant Sea Kings from the inside out. We also saw him being patient, even though he had his entire crew in stone and his hand in problems.
-We saw Jaguar D Saul breaking ships and grabbing them like toys.
-We saw X Drake turning a dinosaur and being strong enough to stop 2 strong guys fighting with each other.
-We saw Pudding Pudding trying to save everyone, but failling, which is obvious, as almost anyone would fail when you're on a boat, with intelligent fishmen that have a map of the entire current of the sea in the middle of the boat.
-We saw Smoker being… Smoker
-We saw Captain Morgan, that was strong but easily defeated by Zoro and Luffy
-We saw Captain Nezumi, who was weak as shit and Nami bitchslapped him
-We saw Hina, that is able to lock anyone with just punches.
-We saw T-Bone being awesome, loyal and quick, he had a great disadvantage agianst Zoro, who was confortable in a train.
-We saw Very Good managing to avoid any attack of Franky.
-We saw Shuu rusting one of Zoro's swords.
-We saw Sharinguu attacking Franky
Which leads me to the point I'm trying to get:
-We know that Admirals are strong as fuck.
-We know that one Vice-Admiral is strong as fuck.
-We know that a former Rear Admiral is strong as fuck
-We know that one commodore is strong as fuck (However, lets be honest, not even him would have a chance if he was in the same situation as Pudding Pudding)
-We know that there are strong captains like Hina, Shuu and Berry (Altough not as strong as CP9, for example).
So, do you guys believe that the powers in the Ranking of the Marines is:
A) Completely Random
B) Linear, but with some flaws like Smoker.
C) Other.
And now, onto another point about the power of the characters of One Piece:
We saw Luffy defeating a lot of characters, but here are the special ones he defeated (read, the arc boss ones):
-Captain Morgan (With help of Zoro)
-Buggy (With help of Nami)
-Kuro (With his stretchy powers)
-Don Krieg (With his rubber properties, allied with his rubber powers and intelligence while using them)
-Arlong (With his rubber properties, rubber powers and intelligence while using them)
-Mr 5 (With his... badassness? and Strenght)
-Mr 3 (With his rubber properties, rubber powers, intelligence while using them and instinct)
-Wapol (With his rubber properties, rubber powers and intelligence while using them)
-Crocodile (With his rubber properties, rubber powers, intelligence while using them, instincts, intelligence even in bad situations, underestimation from the adversary, enormous and ridiculously huge resistance, luck and help from Nico Robin and Pell)
-Bellamy (With his... badassness? and Strenght)
-Enel (With his rubber properties, rubber powers and intelligence while using them)
-Lucci (With his rubber properties, rubber powers, intelligence while using them and an enormous and ridiculously huge resistance...
-Moria (With his rubber properties, rubber powers, intelligence while using them, instincts, intelligence even in bad situations, underestimation from the adversary, enourmous and ridiculously huge resitance, luck and help from Lola).
However, he wasn't able to defeat Magellan...
Do you guys think that this is due:
A) To the amazing strenght of Magellan, that surpasses Moria's and Crocodile's (The main duo in which Luffy needed luck, underestimation and help from others to win)
B) To the fact that Luffy didn't have luck, underestimation from the opponent and/or help from the others (Which means he's still below Shichibukai level altough having a fucking huge DF)
C) To the fact that Luffy didn't need to defeat him and just wanted to run away.
D) Other
Finally, I have another point on the power of the characters of One Piece:
As we all know, Shanks is known as one of the 4 most powerful pirates in the world.
We also know that Younkou (The 4 pirates I mentioned) are equal to ALL THE MARINES and ALL THE SHICHIBUKAIS.
Which means that one Younkou should be able (of course, this is relative) defeat 2 Shicihibukais and a quarter of the entire Marine alliance O_O
Which leads me to the next point: Mihawk.
Mihawk is the best swordsman in the world, however, both Whitebeard and Shanks use swords, and they are both Younkou.
What does this mean?
Does this mean:
A) That Mihawk is only better at them in the act of fighting with Swords?
B) That to get the title, you just have to defeat the previous title holder, and Whitebeard and Shanks don't care about that title?
C) Mihawk is a liar and he's not the best swordsman ever.
D) Other
Well then, let's try to have a civilized discussion about these matters and any other matter you might want to add related to the post.
(Gosh, that was a lot of work, altough also a lot of fun, I freaking hope this thread doesn't get closed either because of an user like Kuminator derailing it or some unmentioned rule)
