i need a phone number for Funimation studios; they have made an unrightful copyright claim on an episode of One Piece. i was on youtube looking for scenes to use in an amv. i found 3 parts out of 4 of the chopper vs kumadori fight, and when i tried veiwing part 4, imagine my surprise when it said "this video is no longer avalible due to a copyright claim from Funimation Entertainment." it is the orginal japanese dub, so why should they have the right to claim copyright? i wish to speak with them about this. if anyone can help me find a phone number to contact Funimation Studios, please do help me. it is very much appreciated.
Funimation Copyright Claim Problem

I was talking about this on my thread but it's seems that FUNi is cracking down on the OP episodes on Youtube not to mention TVXQ's company is removing all videos with their songs share the world since Franky's Urouge video is blocked in the US…..
-
why should they have the right to claim copyright?
Because Japanese studios give American companies licenses to act on their behalf. It's a common enough practice.

You mean the same Japanese dub that FUNimation puts on their uncut DVDs, which since FUNimation makes those DVDs they have RIGHTS to?

it was an episode they havent even dubbed yet so they shouldnt have to right to make a claim on it

No, you're entirely wrong.
As I said:

Even if it's from a season funi don't have the rights to yet, their contract with toei probably gives them the right to contest any use of One Piece in north america, and shut it down.

They have a license for episodes they haven't even dubbed yet. Not all of them, but a good portion. This episode was probably one they have obtained a license to therefore they can legally have it removed.

Fuck Funimation. How dare they enforce the law!
No seriously, get over it, they have a right to do that. Not much you can do about it.
-
There are a bunch of other places that have OP available on stream. Just use those.
-
Learn Spanish. The companies that license OP in Mexico don't enforce on YouTube, so you can watch the episodes in Spanish subtitles if you know the language and are desperate.
It's also a good way to build a useful skill.

That's freakin' unfair!~How exactly is funi at fault here?

It ain't that hard people learn a new language, I'm bilingual and it ain't that hard to learn spanish or if spanish doesn't suit you….
! Then learn Japanese!!

Si', espanol no es muy dificil aprender. Y unos manga y anime solo en espanol o frances como Saint Seiya. So French or Spanish would be the best languages to learn for manga and anime.

You're dumb for relying on Youtube anyway. It's not like it's the only website that hosts One Piece videos.
