Hm, next week looks okay. I see they've kept Hancock's blue eyes from the opening. Well, while she's nowhere near my favorite character in the series, at least Momonga shows up, and finally gets to speak. His manliness should balance out Hancock's mediocrity.

Hm. looks like they expanded Luffy and Marguerite's convo a wee bit, and he actually tells her about his crew. I'm pleased, since that part was kind of aborted in the manga. And also the chase too. I chuckled at Luffy nicking a random person's food.
I have to wonder what on earth is going on in crossbones's thirteenth cap, though. It looks like the part where Luffy gets his Vivre Card back, but are those things supposed to be his thumbs? Is Marguerite supposed to look like she's going insane? Weird. It'll make a lot more sense when I actually watch the episdoe, I'm sure. Maybe.[/detailfag]

i guess it has fanservice for both guys and girls, mind you i haven't seen the epsoide yet due to me coming back from work as of i am writing here.
i got to see it when subtitles appear this so umm was the animation good or was the art good?
also i like amazon lily the enviroments look amazing with vibrant colors and its what i imagined from the manga.

Yeah I really, really liked this episode even without any translation (reading the manga allows me to just fill in the blank though :P). This is how you do filler within canon material, I just wish we had direction like this for the rest of the slimmer canon chapters. The whole chase scene was very well done. Also it wasn't till this episode did I get the full grasp of both how huge Amazon Lily is but also the size of the capital and it honestly never occured to me (despite how stupid this sounds) that the capital was that high up there XD. This is what a transition from paper to animation should always be like.
Can't wait till next episode with the reveal of Hancock and showcasing Momonga.

The golden balls scene made me laugh and Luffy's shock when he saw the frills made me laugh even more. XD
Why do people hate Amazon Lily? [hide]The arc is only 9 chapters long. Hancock wasn't THAT bad and the "love sickness" isn't as big as a deal as everyone made it out to be, we get to know a little bit more about "ambition" and I liked Hancock's past.[/hide]
Just my opinion, though.

When something happens in the series where it's clearly supposed to be Fanservice that Oda intended... it's like the perfect time for them to let that guy animate all the Jiggle he wants. But they never let him have those episodes where it would really make sense...
He didn't do the Nami Bath scene, which was a perfect fanservice moment, and he's not animating anything in Amazon Lilly.
Instead, Nami and Robin's boobs were unnecessarily big and shiny and moved a lot more than usual... during the Merry Funeral Episode...Makes no sense whatsoever...

These days it's because Eisaku Inoue only shows up for those really big moments (yet he didn't do 405…), and since his episodes must eat up cash like you wouldn't believe, I doubt that Toei would bring him in for a minor arc such as this.

My favourite moment was Luffy bouncing around the town like a pinball, legs folded and deep in thought as to what to do next.
