Yeah, Saban was great. For a kids dubbing company, they really got away with a lot of shitm especially in season 3 with Leomon's death and that scene being shown hundreds of times in flashbacks.
02 however went to hell with all the corny jokes.

I think the best dub I heard of Lupin the Third was back in the day, when Manga Entertainment released the movie Mystery of Mamo. I saw that when I was a young fellow, and I've never heard a Lupin dub better. Whenever I watch Lupin III in English now, I compare the voices to those. I think it was the same cast when Manga released that movie about the diamond inside the Statue of Liberty… "Goodbye Lady Liberty" I think it was called.
Put it this way, the whole gang had perfect voices that really suited the characters, and the best, Inspector Zenigata… I still remember the dude who did his voice to this day, he was called Sean Barret, and he also did Captain Britain in Dominion Tank Police for Manga Entertainment, too.
I think he's the best ever Zenigata I've heard, in English. He referred to Lupin as Wolf, and said, "Yer' goin' to Jail, Wolf! Ya' lousy bastard!" like nobody else.
When I saw the release of Castle of Cagliostro, I thought the dubbing was terrible inferior, even to something that was done way back when not a lot of people knew what animÃ
was in the West, virtually.

Cowboy Bebop. - Not bad, all around. A good performance by all.
Outlaw Star. - Again, this was a nice show to watch in English, too.
Blue Water's Dub of Dragonball. Although rather amateur, it kept a lot of the original material. Almost all of it, infact. Even "Demon King Piccolo."
Least Favourite:
One Piece. - Because you're such an ignoramus, Zolo.
Yu-Gi-Oh! King of Games. - BECAUSE HE SHOUTS EVERYTHING LIKE THIS.
Dragonball Z. - Just a lot of the edits, basically. "Wow, I can see their parachutes!" - "This building would have been full on Sunday!" - "Everyone managed to evacuate safely!" - Etc, etc.
Best - Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Samurai Champloo, Digimon season 3
Worst - One Piece, Ultimate Muscle, Shaman King

Yeah, Ultimate Muscle was bad. I felt it had some good voices, but it seemed like 4Kids took it to much as a joke.
Shaman King made me want to cry…The name changes were so random and stupid. The voices added on to the crappiness.
I agree that Cowboy Bebop was done very well too. I'm also glad they kept the voices for everything including the movie. That shocked me a little. Sometimes in dubs they have a whole diffrent cast doing the voices then the acutal series.
Oh; not Cardcaptors! Sakura is so much better than that edited and dubbed piece of anime shit.

Meh. Never been a fan of Freeman's work and he really sticks out like a sore thumb in an otherwise stellar cast in the Hellsing dub, to me. He is, in fact, the one reason I don't just outright watch the dub for that one, I just can't stand his performance. But to each their own, I'm really picky about acting.
Edit: Oh, and I forgot to mention Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust in my favorites list. Except Wendee Lee, who was just kind of annoying.

Have you heard his voice in Xenosaga, the game. If you have, nevermind. but if you haven't i bet you will change ur opinion about him….

Hooboy. I remember when Nausicaa was released under New World Pictures as "Warriors of the Wind". A quarter of the movie was edited out, the dialogue heavily altered, and Nausicaa's name was changed to "Princess Zandra".
And thus, Miyazaki has drawn up contracts with Disney, stating "no edits/dialogue/music changes" to the originals.
Alas, if only Toei had done that with One Piece to 4kids. Then they'd probably have rejected the project and spared us all grief and misery.
What's the point of this topic?.. Obviously most of us are going to say One Piece is the worst dub because it's our favorite series and well… because the dub is bad. This is pretty pointless. As we don't do this enough already.

I have, and I disagree. The Cardcaptors dub was the series that got me into anime and I still love it. Too bad there are no DVDs.

I did, but I got used to it. Sure, it's edited, and has crappy background music that isn't supposed to be there, but the voices are good. Jimmy Neutron as Gash kind of grew on me after a while.
