What's so surprising about someone not having seen Cowboy Bebop? It's great, but hardly at DB levels of popularity.
No, but it's damn close. Especially if you have an internet connection.

just do it dude..it`s worth the time
@Don:
just do it dude..it`s worth the time
I watched it seven years ago. It was superb, but I don't remember it ever being incredibly popular - perhaps it gained a bigger following elsewhere?
Well, I mean perhaps not in the mainstream so much, although it was on Cartoon Network.
And Cowboy Bebop: The Movie was released in theaters here in the US, I did manage to catch it on the big screen.
Plus, this being a fansite for an anime/manga, and Bebop is pretty popular in that particular demographic I'd say.
Indeed.
So, Crocodile VS Hannyabal next. I expect overuse of "croc is going to turn hannyabal into a mummy".
I don't know…Hannyabal took down Arlong. Maybe it's his job to take down badass villains?
Who am I kidding? It was nice knowing you Hannyabal! I'll still vote for you!!
He'll never get that chief's job now.
He'll never get that chief's job now.
Yep, dried-up corpses never do well in management positions.
Yep, dried-up corpses never do well in management positions.
But they are pretty good for Halloween decoration! :'D Croc ftw
Damn, I really wanted Hannyabal to go far in this tournament. Croc as an opponent? He may as well go fight Luffy and Blackbeard again.
But they are pretty good for Halloween decoration! :'D Croc ftw
I was already voting Crocodile, but that just cements it for me
Croc will turn Hannyabal into a mummy.
But, but, Hannyabal's a man of great ambition. :cwy:
He wants to be chief warden!
My prognosis for the upcoming matches (some are also my personal choices):
Crocodile VS Hannyabal
Jango VS Iceburg
Usopp VS Doflamingo
Kumadori VS Shushu
Scratchmen Apoo VS Blackbeard
Eustass Kid VS Buggy
Trafalgar Law VS Tom
Montblanc Cricket VS Momonga
Wiper VS Franky
Carue VS Dorry
Mr. 3 VS Whitebeard
Urouge VS Luffy
Miss Goldenweek VS Brook
Hina VS Magellan
Bellemere VS Dr. Hiruluk
Aphelandra VS Gecko Moria
Garp VS Pandaman
Bepo VS Jabura
Zoro VS Chopper
Duval VS Bon Kurei
Gin VS Smoker
Enel VS Don Krieg
Richie VS Zeff
X Drake VS Kuma
Croc wants to become the Pirate King, wants to kill Whitebeard, and get some super ancient weapon. Hannyabal wants to become a chief in a prison.
The winner is obvious..!
I hate not being able to vote T_T
Tom needs all the help he can get :/
It's finally done! I'm going to be honest up front. I was never that big of a Michael Jackson fan. So imagine my surprise, about a week ago, when my friend asked me where I was the first time I ever heard Thriller and I knew the answer. Almost instantaneously, I was able to tell him that I was in my friend Scott's side room and we were playing Bases Loaded for the original NES when it came on the radio. The song had come out years before (1982), but I was very young and it was my first time hearing it. Additionally, I was able to say that the first time I ever saw the music video was when my middle school band teacher showed it to us in class. It was the only video that he showed us in the three years that I was there.
Not many other songs have formed such concrete memories in my lifetime. I realized instantly just how influential that man was to my generation and to the generation before me (Oda is no exception). Do you remember where you were the first time you heard Thriller?
That realization, coupled with Jango being one of my favorite characters inspired me to put something together. I also need to redeem myself for messing up my own Banchi campaign. So, without further ado, here is my first ever video. It both commemorates Michael Jackson's most influential song to my life, and allows me to campaign for Jango simultaneously.

I liked it. Nice work.
That was a really good video, Urouge.
Yeah Urouge, great job, nice syncing at some points too !
Hot dog, that was a cool vid.
Thanks guys! I'm glad that you all like it. The quality isn't so bad if you watch it in the small format at least. :ermm:
Now voting is going to be impossible. I really like both characters to begin with, but I figured I would just stay loyal to Tom's Workers like I always do… until Michael Jackson died and Urouge made a cool video. No clue at this point.
I was already voting Crocodile, but that just cements it for me
I kno rite? :'D

Gah! I waited for it to load and it wouldn't D: But now that I've managed to watch it…Man. That is one of the most epic campaigns I've seen in the entire tourney and one of the most epic amv's I've watched on yt as well. Love it. And...BANCHIIIII-SAMAAAA~! 8D Voting for Jango.
Haha thanks, I was wondering if anyone was going to mention the Banchi cameo when I put it in. I'm not entirely satisfied with his placement within the song though, oh well. The amv was fairly easy to design since Oda took a lot from MJ when he created Thriller Bark and Jango to begin with.
Okay Urouge, ever since Thriller Bark started I knew that a bunch of people were just going to play "Thriller" over the anime scenes and call it a fuckin' AMV. I didn't even think of it as being original, and it would be nothing special.
You actually put some effort into your video, and the timing is phenominonal. This actually has some heart in it. It's just that damn good.

whoa. where did all that zombies dancing footage come from?

Thank you. I certainly would never claim that the idea was original. I just wanted to make it as good as I possibly could. I spent a lot of time fine tuning both the timing of where the scenes occurred in the song, as well as the speed and position of the scenes to match the beat. I'm very happy to see that so many people have noticed.
On the negative side, I spent quite a bit of time at 2:42 to stagger the hand movements to match the voice and it still didn't turn out as cleanly as I would have liked.
whoa. where did all that zombies dancing footage come from?
More specifically, it was a celebration to begin the Night Attack in the second half of episode 344.
Pretty damn good video, Urouge! Would've been better if parts of it didn't have subtitles, though…

Thanks, and I don't disagree. Unfortunately, it took me a long time to acquire a raw of Jango's Dance Carnival. By the time I finally had one (thanks Flux!), I had modified and integrated way too much of those lyrical subtitles in to the AMV already and didn't want to repeat all of that work. I made sure that I didn't have any other subs in the video, at least.
Now that I have the raw, I might make a version 2 of the video if Jango makes it to round 3. Besides getting rid of those pesky lyrical subtitles, there are a few scenes that I think I could have done better with.
Lol Monogma's still in the game. We're going all the way rofl

They weren't as distracting as dialogue subs. I didn't really mind them .
I'm gonna take the high road and say, Let's see BattleFranky top that X3
Seriously, I was in a really shitty mood (girl probs).
But your vid really made me feel better, thanks Urouge
and if I wasn't gonna vote Jango (which I am), this video would've convinced me to XD
My Apoo campaign is in my sig. Jango for the finals :D
Also, this:

I cant wait for the match up :3 Hopefully there will be some funny intro this time. Maybe Iceburg is entering a dance contest or something. That be funny to see all the Galley-La workers doing the lord of the dance.
Oh yes!! <33 Bennie won~ Ufufufufufufufu >:D
He flew faaar awaaay from Perona~ (lol 5 votes away :'D Well, they were 7 when I went to bed <ε<) UUUUUFUFUFUFUFUFUFU >8D gets carried away by angry fans Wheee~
Tbh I am rather surprised he won. I thought Perona and Paulie would annihilate him. I had fun campaigning against those two though XD Trying to come up with reasons to make two characters I actually like a lot (Perona's laughter had me in giggles every time and I like how Paulie is not a pervert), look kind of bad (Perona was much easier for that :P) was a blast XD
…If Perona had tied up with Benn, it would've been epic :'D Three-way matches are much more fun than two-way ones after all xP
My Apoo campaign is in my sig. Jango for the finals :D

Great video! Jango's going the distance in this contest. First he destroyed Hogback, next he'll destroy Iceburg, baby.
Shameless plug, activate!
You and that video. I was certain I was going to vote for Iceburg, but now it's more like 'I'll vote for Iceburg, I guess…'
But no! He will prevail! Awesome video or not! He's Tom's apprentice with a DON! I'll come up with a campaign that will blow your minds! Maybe...:ninja:
Thanks, I'm glad my video has been received so well.
That video took me two days, so if you outdo me by tomorrow, threedayslater, I'm going to be very impressed. I believe in you!
I don't. I have work all today so even if I do think up the Best Iceburg Campaign Ever, I'll have a very small window to actually do anything about it.
But miracles have been known to happen. :P
