Finished reading the chapter. Whitebeard, at the last panel, doesn't seem to be phased one bit by that rather serious stab, from the looks of it. If that was a fatal wound, WB's eyes should've gone white. But no, his reaction is something you would normally give to a knife cut or a considerable scratch - nowhere near serious.
I'd really laugh my ass though if people still insist the "fatal wound" theory. Some of you really are underestimating the "World's Strongest Man."

May be fatal though now I have the impression that WB is just disappointed in his ally.
I can imagine that this attack will affect him after the war but not NOW. -

about Squado's speech before the stab, was it sarcastic? because who would say (seriously) "The WB pirates are risking their lives for just one of their nakama and commander, eh?" then the next second he stabs WB.. im still thinking of a hidden grudge..

well i'm not surprised, well yea i'm not saying i predicted this or anything.
but i've been saying for months now that we will not see big epic battles from any of these top tier guys. That is just not Oda's style until it is time for Luffy and crew to fight them. Thus I'm not surprised that Whitebeard will be taken out in some way to prevent him from going off.
Its very easy to understand squaro's motive, if it is indeed his own doing of free will. He is a pirate, and now he is THE PIRATE that took out whitebeard. Now time to see how Luffy gets the hell out of this situation, and how he saves Ace. I still don't see Ace dying. Whitebeard I did, but not Ace.

i'm not surprised that oda chose this method of slowing down whitebeard and making him more human. plus oda has to make whitebeard much more vulnerable if blackbeard is to permanently take him down. whitebeard won't be taken down by that sword stab but he will be slowed down some and i'm guessing once whitebeard battles either sengoku or the admirals he will then be taken down some more even if he manages to defeat sengoku or the admirals. whitebeard is going to live long enough to see ace freed and that is when blackbeard will most likely come for his head and that will end up being his final battle. even in his final battle whitebeard will most likely tear blackbeard to shreds but blackbeard will put up enough of a fight to make whitebeard give out what little life force he has left. wonder what whitebeard will say to blackbeard in his final moments. i wonder if he will still consider him a son.

So, I guess this war really is going to end by 2010. I'm not saying WB is going to die from this (and it'd be really, unconsciously stupid for him to do so), but now we're starting to get into the final act of this war that has been strangely one-sided.
Ah hah, so there's one camera left. If we're going to have BB reemerge and have the final say of this war, he'll have The Great Buggy to thank.
I wouldn't discount a brief Pirate resurgence after this. Somebody is going to have to at least approach the execution platform before Ace gets skewered outside of Oars. (Again, my money was on WB dying, Ace living, and Blackbeard cementing his position as The Next Big Pirate Threat.)
We've yet to have big named losses on the Marines side. If this war is going to change things forever, Marines are going to have to start falling by the wayside.

no way WB goes out like this. Luffy has been through things 10x worse. WB is going to vibrate soo hard, the sword will shatter and explode like a grenade in front of Squardo cutting him up into pieces. though WB will also be hit, he is too beast to be phased by such an attack

Thank for the RAW. It seems that we are approaching the end of the arc since the "destruction factor" has already appeared. I am talking about the PXs here.
I have an idea about how Ace could become free, I am sure that Luffy won´t be the one who will free him, it will be Mr. 3. He can copy the key that Luffy has an open Ace cuffs, the difference is that he will die after that at the hands of one of Admirals, perhaps Akainu.
People is putting his eyes over the strong ones and ignoring people like Buggy, Mr 3 and even Luffy, even when Luffy is very strong he is an ant in this war but they will put more guts here than the rest of pirates, even when they can die. We saw this when Mr 2 replaced Magellan even when the cost could has been his own life.
I hate when some people say that Buggy is "One Piece Mr. Satan", I don´t agree with them, he is weak and coward but the truth is that he is completely reversed from Mr. Satan. In the case of the One Piece Character he is delusional with the world, in the case of Buggy he is delusional with himself.
Buggy has been living a lie in all this time, he refused to go with his best friend, he continously says that he hates "Shanks" and Luffy (because the relationship between Shanks and Luffy) but the truth is that Shanks saved Buggy and they were friends during years. After the death of Roger he became the current Buggy and lied to himself taking the paper of an "evil" pirate.
Buggy autism becomes more big when we are talking about Ace, Buggy met Ace before he was defeated by Teach, Ace is the son of his former captain and even with this situation he continues lying to himself like "Ace is not important for me" but the truth is that Ace is important for him, he is acting like "Oh well, the freckled boy isn´t important for me, I am here to take advantage of the situation" but some catalyst must happen, something tragic in middle of the scene that could make Buggy move and help Luffy to save Ace.
I am sure that Luffy will lose against Kizaru, he will see how the blades will start to fell and then… all the fodder marines and pirates will go out, Luffy will awaken Haki for a moment and this moment will be enough to stop the admirals and give time to Buggy and Mr. 3 to save Ace. They are the weaklings on this war but they will be the ones who will show more guts and win the respect of the rest of pirates.

I'm so pumped up for next week after reading this! Buggy's shenanigans were hilarious. I love that they had to do a second take because his nose was bleeding. Priceless. I kinda hope that we'll see Kizaru knocked down a peg next week, just cause I like all these new guys running in to fight him.
Whitebeard is the strongest man in the world. I can't wait to see what he does next.
