I was talking with GoAnderson on AIM earlier tonight and we went into the discussion of Photoshop and how much it costs. Anderson said that I could try it for free and register the thing (and pay alot of money) later, and if I didn't register, I couldn't use photoshop.
So I had evil thoughts of downloading a version of Photoshop that works for my old Windows 98 Toshiba laptop, do what I need to do, and delete the program. I tried downloading it at download.com…and that's when the computer problems began.
My laptop froze up, causing a restart followed by the inability to acess the internet, my Documents, or my Control Panel. I did a smart scan using Ad-Ware..and it revealed over 400 critical items. I tried to get rid of the stuff, but everytime I approve of the removal of the items, the program stops working when it starts deleting the stuff. (Or maybe it takes more than 25 minutes to delete the stuff and I have no patience.)
So my question is does anyone know what I need to do in order to get my laptop working again? If it isn't fixed, my time on the internet will be reduced to the weekends with no AIM because I am using the guest account on my roommate's computer.
