As overused as rescue arcs are I would like to see the Straw Hats rescue Luffy. Perhaps mirroring the Loguetown execution except instead of fate(or Dragon) saving him the crew saves him.
I also want to see Luffy find out about the Thriller Bark incident. I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to make good on his promise to Zoro from the Captain Morgan Arc.

People talking with their mouths closed.
Oda's stated before that he prefers to NOT do things just for "coolness' sake", and he specifically said he doesn't like having people talk with their mouths closed, which is what a lot of other manga do.
So I just think it'd be hilarious to see things like "It's alright… I'm a doctor!!!" (Law's shout from the war with his submarine) with just a completely empty :pouty: face.

You know what i would like to see? Some shorter, "filler" arcs, kinda like the Foxy arc. Or mini-arcs based on the colour spreads perhaps?
I just don't think that everything has to be so friggin serious all the time, how about some plain old adventures, with a semi-strong arc boss who could still put up a fight?
And loads of funny islands, like a swamp island, or a volcano island.

But i think that is the only way how the SHs may fight minor NW-pirates in the future (as long as they don`t fight in alliances against them).
Just imagine pirate crews ,like WB had with him at marineford,fighting against the SHs after they fought BigMum..no way except in something like a DBF (of course something differnet this time around) -

Doflamingo actually being a living puppet controlled by that little girl seen last chapter (chapter 682). She ate a Puppet Puppet fruit, can make living puppets and control them etc. etc. etc. blah blah blah. You get the AWESOME point! It would be funny, because Doflamingo is said to be the puppeteer, when in fact, he's the puppet (literally).

Now that Smoker is a Vice-Admiral, I really want to see him put in to a situation where his own sense of justice and morals go against what the Marines and World Government. Smoker's always been a wild dog and done whatever he wants, but we've never really seen him in a position where he has some huge choice to make about what's morally right that has reprecussions for him. I really want to see him deal with a situation like that.

Kinemon may not know the name of his fruit, since he is from Wano. Although I guess Oda could have put it in one of those omniscient narrator boxes, but this probably just means that it'll come up and be a plot point later.

Because unlike most countires on the Grand Line, Wano Country seems to be an isolated place mirroring real life japan in earlier centuries. They simply do not know how DF in details work and do not have access to the book that could give them the exact name of the fruit.

If Doflamingo's group ends up fighting in the Big Mom showdown, I'd love to see Vergo and that little kid find there way into Big Moms sweets room, and then have Big Mom come and ask them if there eating her sweats, and they both turn around, Vergo with sweets on his face and her with them on her fingertips, and say "no not me", and then some fodder pointing out how bad they are at lying
