The DFs doing new things by way of training seems like a given with Oda.
A zoan ability is a good/obvious example of how Oda can use not only animal forms, but elemental/other abilities thrown in too.

You have the bird as the animal aspect - Zoan
and You have the blue flame/rapid regenaration aspect - Paramecia.

If I wanted to see a person change in to a hyena and have the ability to see through solid objects there is no mythical creature to match that.

Well I was focusing on the part where you're granting both abilities due to the DF.
Not some super rare genetic flaw that grants some super ability.
I don't think Oda would go that angle anyway.
On another note, I probably said it in this thread already but Oda needs to shows us a krakken. Yeah we got sea kings but I specifically want a krakken.
Then Franky and the krakken can have their own battle paying homage to Moby Dick and Captain Ahab(Usopp can be Ishmael).

Yes they are a race in the OP world but they a born with innate abilities nonetheless, ability to talk to marine animals, breath underwater are just examples.

No. I said a page or two back that I wanted to see someone eat 2 DFs and survive(or 3). I think it was SMUDGE that suggested among other things that the same results could happen with zoans.
He gives examples on this page and the previous one.
As for the race thing. I'm not looking for some special race that has x-ray vision(which was just an example). I'd find it too silly if Oda just created a race with an innate ability just so eating a DF would give off the false impression they ate 2 DFs. I was talking about regular DFs and eating more than one of them.

This is interesting. I'd like to see a few chapters focused on Dragon and Ivankov, both past and present. It can easily happen once the war ends.

It was already explained, if two or more people try to eat a Devil Fruit at the same time, the one who gets the first bite will obtain the powers, and after that the fruit will become useless. So if the fruit is used as an ingredient in a dish, the one who first eats a bit of the fruit in his serving would get the powers.

Yes, you could but I doubt anyone would waste a rare fruit on someone else when they could sell it for lots of Belli, unless of course you're trying to feed a second devil fruit to someone as an assassination attempt.

how would he do that though…its not like he can have that many devil fruits to have people eat and see if they go poof. IMO there is between 0% and 0.0000001% chance of this happening. It makes no sense and it would be a needless twist that would really have nothing to do with the plot.

Asking how he would do this is stupid especially since we still don't know how DFs work.
You're making up percentages for something when you don't even have all the info. As for plot that's another baseless statement. Especially since Oda said the crew would be meeting with a doctor(Vegapunk) that would explain the DFs to them. The way I see it eating more than one DF still has to do with DFs so it has as much to do with the DFs and the plot as what happens to DFs after DF users die.

That's obviously not the same thing and not what we're talking about.
It being too hax is opinion. Some ppl think some current DFs are too hax. It doesn't have to be too hax as long as Oda deals with it correctly.
Although I'd like to see DF user + DF weapon as well.

I realize people are talking about Vegapunk using shinanigans to break the "Two Devil's Fruit = Death" rule. I'm just not seeing that happening, unless there's a loophole. I always thought it would be interesting however if someone had a Devil's Fruit and then got like a metal arm or something, and it got a Devil's Fruit, so it's not so much a separate weapon but apart of him. It seems plausible, we don't really know what Vegapunk or Oda for that matter will throw at us.

A real super genius character. He doesn't even have to be super strong fighter, just able to use his superior intelligence in to badass battle plans to win.
I'm currently reading Ravages Of Time so it wouldn't hurt if it was on the level of Lu bu/eight geniuses/etc.
